You only need to evaluate your MSc. Kingbukaz: |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 2 by Kontagious(m): 8:56am On Oct 25, 2017 |
Kingbukaz:No. Gives same point as evaluating only MSc. You'd get more points than BSc if you combine OND or HND to the BSc. Combining any other degree to MSc will not increase points awarded to just MSc In hierarchy; BSc BSc and OND/HND or ACCA (obtained from a certain year I think) or OND and HND MSc PhD 6 Likes |

Here is the requirements that must be met for a vaild letter from a financial institution. Once the details as requested by IRCC is met in the bank letter, you would not need a SoA.... I hope this helps 3 Likes

just15: 1. With respect to the application process, working in a bank doesn't give u an edge. In fact, I think banks are even more rigid with things like reference letters which play a key part in your application. As long as the one-man business is genuine, it's okay. A bank may give a more impressive employment profile though. Regarding 67/100 FSW thing. It works like this: For a skilled worker applying to Canada, there are 2 point-based assessment grids every candidate is measured against. First, the FSW points grid, which determines eligibility. To be eligible, you need minimum of 67 points out of 100 to qualify. It's here that 6 yrs gives max points for work experience. Second, the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) grid which is mainly for the purpose of ranking the already eligible candidates in the Express Entry pool. The highest ranked candidates, based on CRS points, get invited from the pool in periodic draws using a cut-off point. It's here that 3yrs gives max points for work experience outside Canada. So in essence, eligibility is key but not every eligible candidate will receive an invitation to apply for permanent residence- Only those who make the cut off. I hope it's clear now. 7 Likes |

Please peeps, For IELTS (Listening), is there a Transcript (written text) of the conversations/Monologues that would be played? I'm asking because I saw a sample Listening question paper that had a Transscript section after each conversation/monologue. Although, the prepping materials online that I listened to didn't provide such transcripts. Thanks in adv. |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 2 by Santino1(m): 10:30am On Oct 25, 2017 |
shygunXs: If that were the case, there would be no difference between Reading and Listening and people would get identical points for both. So, to answer you question. No, the transcript is only provided for practice purpose only. 3 Likes |

Kontagious: I know but why give yourself high BP over something you cannot control. As for me and myself, Na siddon look I dey so, I estimated the whole process to take about 6 months and only after then will I start to get worried. To answer your question, BG IP2 indicates your file has been successfully transmitted by the CIO and your case has been opened at the VO. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Newmum0615:Yes, while using the CRS tool you only have the option of 3 years. Express entry, the platform on which they decide whether you should get an invitation to apply or not, has 3 years as maximum number of work experience years. This is where you create a profile. However, you are applying as a Federal Skilled Worker. In that case, if you have 6 years work experience then you earn 4 more points than if you have 3 years experience. This is towards scoring 67 or more / 100. This is actually what determines your eligibility under the Federal skilled worker program. People who are applying for the Federal Skilled Trades (another program entirely) also need to submit their application under express entry. So, express entry is like a platform for everyone. You get? They also have different requirements to meet under work experience. They need two years of work experience as minimum, unlike those in the FSW who need only 1 year experience. This is why you need to take the eligibility test first. If you pass it with only 3 years of work experience, then you are good. Means you don't need the whole 6 years then. It's only 4 more points after all. 4 more points towards getting a 67/100; not 4 more CRS points. |

Obi1conte:You surely need a PCC even as a dependent if you stayed in any country for six months or more (straight or cumulative). Please go through this link https://www.acro.police.uk/Police_Certificates_Online.aspx or you may just hold a bit for more informed response. |
