Please rest well and embrace the urge to sleep cos it would definitely come.

You baby doesn't want to sleep in her cot , try laying her to sleep by your side, and coo her to sleep...just try....not easy though

Thanks dear, ever since you read Forzarush the riot act, I'm always scared of not replying your mentions on time cheesy

Which one be the riot act again? grin
Abeg, you don’t have to be scared of not replying me. I usually don’t care if you reply or not but it’s necessary because it’s simple courtesy. Sometimes people go the extra mile to answer us. The best you can do is to show appreciation and not just ignore.

I was busy that day and I happily typed her reply with one hand while I was doing something else with the other hand. I was eager to help my teamie. I left an officer’s contact there and pleaded with her to notify me when she sees it so I can remove it.

When I pointed it out that she ignored my post, she wanted to make me look bad by quoting my edited post, and replying as if I don’t know what I’m talking about. I had to point out the time to her.
She purposely ignored my post. You can’t ask question and not look out for reply especially when someone quotes you before replying. Or it’s possible she only wants certain people to answer her.
I wanted to still respond later but I saw where she sarcastically answered someone that suggested she pm me.

To think that I wanted to help her pay for the vaccine because I have some fund in the hospital. I was being careful not to appear too forward because she asked for hospital not money. I wanted to see her response first before I suggest that before person go ask who send me. I’ve learnt my lesson.

Make I come dey go. Ogologo okwu adighi n’uka mgbede. Elegam face.

Choi, she's still vexing. That could have easily been me sha cuz my method of replying mentions/pm is very lazy, esp when i get more than three at a time, right now I'm still going through my mentions to reply yesterday's own even tho I've already replied more recent ones. Plus it's Nairaland, the mentions button just misbehaves every now and then and won't show notification for some mentions. Pele I know it's annoying.

Biko nu I need help, my baby wakes up every hour, sometimes twice in one hour. I've not slept in so long i might soon run mad. What should i do, when would it end. She only used to wake up once or twice since birth and i thought by the time she's 6 months she would be sleeping through the night only for her to come and get way worse. I think it's partially my fault cuz she can't go back to sleep without bobby in her mouth, so now every little waking up she would wail until you carry her and bfeed then she would sleep off immediately. This happens like 8 times or more in one night. I'm trying to stop the excess bfeeding and try to tap her back or put her on my shoulder and rock her back to sleep but she just screams louder until you bring bobby. This post is getting so long, I don't even know what I'm typing again, I lack sleep. Biko nu help me before I run mad. @Giddyperson, why not try lying down and breastfeeding. That's how I've been doing o since she was two months there about. I can equally sleep while she eats/sleeps.

Lmaooooo welcome to my life. Lie her beside you, pop the bobby out and give her, continue your sleep. At some point you will wake up and see she's asleep, roll over and enter gear 2. This is the only way to function when you need to wake up early for work the next day.

Yes, random aunty judgina about to quote this, I know it would be a hard habit to break...leave it like that, I need my sleep grin grin grin

If you at this stage hace not been breastfeeding while lying down, then you are the real mom.
biko just lie by her side, put the breast in her mouth and off to slumberland.
no child of mine will i sit down to breastfeed at night when i need my precious sleep.I do this from the day of birth.

lol, my hubby is the judgina in question here, the few times I've tried to breastfeed while lying down he would wake up and start saying, what if the breastmilk enters her ear, what if your boobs cover her nose and she stops breathing, what if what if what if, I'd just get tired and sit up or he would carry her and rock her till she cries herself to sleep, either way both of us never get any much sleep. But it's not even about that again, I want to teach her to start sleeping through the night. I'm tired.

Lol, I started doing it when work resumed, my baby was 3 months old. I can confirm that none of those things have ever happened [s]Except of course your boobs are the H cup type in which case I may not have any advice for you[/s] . In fact, my baby is so used to it that before he opens his eyes he first turns his head to either side looking for brezz, then waves his hands in the air trying to touch me, then cries a little bit - all of this with his eyes tightly shut oh! - if that fails then he will open his eyes and look for me/cry

Congratulations to the New moms. May God continually keep watch over our babies amen.

I need help! Bobo developed cough and cataarh last night and he's having a miserable time of it. We went to the hospital and were given vit c and piriton; however he's no better. Pls help! I'm scared of hot water and baby but at this rate I've got no choice. How do I go bout it??

I feel pretty incompetent esp cos grandma has been around from birth till 7 weeks and the boy scarcely developed an itch. Now within a couple days of me alone with him, he's fallen ill. sad He's just 7weeks and 5 days. He's not sleeping well at all. Help!!!

Sorry but I just had to laugh first
My son has always been like this so I am used to the lack of sleep already

Put her beside you and put the boob in her mouth. That way you can get some sleep too. That's what I usually do

So far your boob isn't too big to cover her and you're a light sleeper I guess it's fine. Me I was too scared to attempt it earlier even though someone told me before

Thanks you guys

Well, i think getting her to sleep all through the nite might not be possible since she's quite too young and hasn't started taking serious solid food(adults food) which can sustain till dawn..
What we do is, I try and reduce her during the day naps like 2-3hours morning/noon and 1hr+ noon/evening...the evening is just to relax her nerves..And once it's 6pm and she's still sleeping I will pick her and gently wake her up..So from then she will be active n playing till 9pm (almost exhausted) then, I will bath her and 30min thereafter she will suck and sleep off..Av been doing this for almost 2month now, so her body has adjust to it...She only wakes like 2-3 times to feed after which she goes back to sleep immediately...

Maybe u can try this for a day and see how it goes...
