Somebody needs to drill it into this boy's head that his right foot is not diseased. The coaches he works with need to tell him to shoot with whichever foot the ball lands.

You will not always get the chance to switch legs...you will encounter merciless defenders that will not give you enough breathing space to move even less switch the position of the ball, he needs to stop second guessing himself and just shoot

The day Kelechi scores with his right foot, I will celebrate like he won a Ballon d'Or

He has scored with his right foot before. Oya, begin celebrate.

I think he has improved a bit with that his weaker right foot. What he needs to drastically improve on is his skill set. Ability to confidently that on players. Even from the goal it shows.

U av a good memory bro but dat tourney was held btw Jan 28-31,1998....the european season was obviously still on hence bora had to use mostly home-based players and some fringe european based (more like starting to rebuild the team less dan six months to france 98).....in all,it still boils down to the emphasis we all clamouring for, that the core of the team be kept to promote beta team cohesion and a good team spirit. The building of a successful world cup team actually includes the qualification phase and does not neccessarily start after the qualification process as we av erroneously believed in the past hence the frequent change of coaches and core playing personnel after qualification!
This has been the emphasis as against those whose opinion tilts more like in the direction of overhauling the team. The core of the team should be maintained provided they are fit and in form with few quality additions added to strengthen the team.

Eagles star Moses Simon reveals why he is firing again in Belgium

By admin -
October 25, 2017, 4:13 pm

Moses Simon is firing again with Belgian club KAA Gent – 3 goals, 2 assists in the last 3 matches – and he has revealed this is so because he is doing less defending under a new coach.

Moses Simon took Belgian league by storm when he joined Gent in January 2015 from Slovak champions AS Tencin, but lately he appears to struggle to get back to such form.

The 22-year-old flying winger himself has given reasons for his new-found form.

He said under sacked coach Hein Vanheizebrouck he was forced to defend a lot more and that affected what he could offer upfront, but that is not the case with new coach Yves Vanderhaeghe.

“I previously had to defend more and that affected how I attacked,” he revealed.

“But the new coach has asked for more action upfront.

“That’s what we need and that’s what can win us games.

“So now if they put three men on me, (Samuel) Kalu will be free and if they put three men on him, I will be free.”

Yes and those additions MUST without doubt strengthen the squad to the point that even the family of the players losing their place will have to agree that this new guy play pass my pikin.

No additions like uchebo and shola ameobi etc that Keshi (RIP big boss) added to the team. I'm still not smiling thinking about that.

He couldn't have scored with his right feet from where he took the shot. And you have to understand he is under pressure to prove himself. 28 million dollars nobi garanut.
I believe as time passes and he become settled his confidence will grow and that will lead to trying new tricks like attempting to shoot with his right feet.

yes, I know that from that angle, his left foot was the better choice. I just made that comment because I imagine such a thought must have occurred to him numerous times on the field of play and he chose to play it safe and use the familiar foot ..

England players would never amount to anything in world football as long as the British pundits keep over rating them. Most of them are average at best but these pundits make them feel like world class. I was watching Spurs vs Liverpool last Saturday and I almost turned off my TV when I heard the match analyst telling the whole world that Harry Kane is already at Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo's levels!

Can you imagine? Harry Kane who can't dribble to save his life being compared with the GOAT like Leo Messi!! What an insult!!!

That my brother, is why the British players never do well once they step outside the EPL. I am praying and hoping that Harry Kane would go to Real Madrid so he would get exposed by La Liga.

There's a nagging problem which I think Rohr has to address quickly not even till we get to the World Cup. How do we remain vibrant when Mikel is substituted or when he doesn't play. Who is the big game player to step things up. Onazi and Echiejile didn't live up to the billing against SA. What is to be done?

Good point! It's not really Mikel, per se. rather the role he play. I don't think we have another playmaker in this team. Alex Iwobi has the quality and the skillset to be a playmaker but we kept playing him on the flanks. If I have access to Rohr, one suggestion I would make to him is: move Mikel to DM with Ndidi (Onazi can come off the bench) and play Iwobi in the #10 role. If he starts now to play that role, he would perfect it before the world cup.

Seriously I am hungry to see Iwobi play from the middle and like you said the earlier he begins to warm into the role, the better for us. We've not tried Ndidi - Mikel in the double pivot role as against Mikel - Onazi. I prefer Onazi to Ndidi for now as a constant in the pivot role. I hope I don't start an Ndidi/Onazi debate. Onazi is just my preference.
