Icon79: Haba. Oga fear God, fear God! Cavani and Mbappe better than Kane? Griezman who isn't even a top 9 is better than Kane there? Giroud keeps Mbappe on the bench. Aguero better than Kane? Maybe as a volleyball player but not as a 9. What has Gabby Jesus achieved exactly? This guy has won the Epl's golden shoe, scored 29goals in 26 Epl games, haba give him credit once na. 8 Likes |

Humility017: Enemies of the Super Eagles. So you think you love and adore that green jersey more than the lot that clamour for their recall? No offence but this is a public forum with diverse individuals, you should be mindful of what you say. |

Good point. But if Etebo goes to #11, he would be playing a different role from the way Simon Moses plays that position. Etebo would be playing there as a second striker. His job would be to slide in and hassle defenders .... make a nuisance of himself and either score goals or create opportunities for our #9 to score. Unfortunately, we gonna need an overlapping LWB, which we don't have at this time, to play that system effectively. O pari MetalJigsaw: |

Icon79: You must be joking comparing the likes of Gabriel Jesus, Kylian Mbappe and Costa. Do I need to remind you he is the top goal scorer in the EPL for two consecutive seasons and well on his way to a third golden boot barring any injuries come end of season. Messi and Cr7 are not pure strikers. On few occasions where Ronaldo has been played as a striker, he always flops. Right now, the only centre forwards that can go toe to toe with him are Lewandowski, Cavani and Aubameyang. The rest do not even come close. 1 Like |

You seem to have forgotten Martins was in the team just before Siasia took over I think. .Wetin he do? He warm bench wella. Ighalo was benching him. All those fear-mongers spreading rumors around. If they (the oldies) are performing, they should be invited. When they show and if they are not good enough, they will still be benched or better yet never get invited again. All those tagging and discrimination. No be turn by turn. The best should always be used. Mujtahida: 1 Like |

So you'll take Harry Kane over Sergio Aguero, eh? Hmmm. OK, let's hope that God answers my prayer and Harry Kane goes to Real Madrid .... then wind would blow and everyone would see fowl nyash. Then una go know say fowls, dem dey get nyash! I still remember saying that Gareth Bale wasn't world class and would get exposed in La Liga, but the British pundits keep promoting him until he went to Real. The rest, they say, is history! Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by Icon79(m): 5:41pm On Oct 26, 2017 |
First, if not for injuries, Aguero would've been the top EPL scorer two seasons ago. Last season Lukaku should've won it, if not that some teams let Harry Kane run up the scores. Secondly, most of his goals are usually tap ins .... reminds me of Cristiano Ronaldo, in his 30s O pari Xzbit91: |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by Icon79(m): 5:44pm On Oct 26, 2017 |
I agree with you. That's why we're all praying that Aina would be comfortable playing LB because Echiejile would get us badly exposed in Russia. Problem is, Ola Aina is a natural RB and I don't like people being made to play in makeshift positions, especially in a big tournaments like the world cup. O pari MetalJigsaw: |

Success ke? Do you know how many times they have booed him at Santiago Bernabéu? That's his own fans booing him, mind you! Don't get me wrong, he has had a few great games but he hasn't really set La Liga on fire like he did in the EPL. I may be biased but I think that he's yet to reproduce that form that made Madrid to break the bank for me - make him the world's most expensive player at that time. O pari Mickael2: |

Joebie: I fully concur with you. My confidence is based on the fact that Argentina's back line is slow and they tend to play a high pressing game when Messi is with the ball. It plays to our counter attacking strength. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by Joebie: 5:54pm On Oct 26, 2017 |
True.. but Messi is a very special player. You know very well that he can make the difference. We also need to worry about keeping him quiet. That's the first priority always for any opposing team. It's not like our forwards will always convert when they have the opportunity. Truidstar: |

Mickael2: If you have watched Argentina in the past 18 months you will share my sentiment. They are not fantastic, if messi does not show up on the day they struggle. Aguero does not have kelvin dey bryune and David Silva giving him service in the national team. |

Joebie: Exactly... Onazi to mark him out. There is no rakitic or iniesta to provide support. They have Dybala... But he blows hot and cold. Hope he blows cold on that day. Jorge Sampaoili has not got them playing like a team yet. A collection of individual talent. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by Mickael2(m): 5:58pm On Oct 26, 2017 |
Truidstar: Argentina's problems is putting the ball in the back of the net. All their games under Sampaoli, they have played well and created tons of chances and have they lost? Your best bet is a draw and that draw is because they didn't put their chances away. Maybe you watched the games they played under their previous coach and Tata |

Owngoalnigeria.com is reporting that New Deportivo La Coruna
Coach Backs Uzoho To
Continue As Number One The chances of fast rising Nigerian goalkeeper Francis Odinaka Uzoho retaining his spot as first choice goalkeeper of Spanish La-Liga side Deportivo La Coruna won’t be affected following the sacking of coach Pepe Mel. Mel gave Uzoho is first team bow at the club, but he was sacked after their last league game which they lost 1-2 to Girona, and his sacking has lead to talks about Uzoho losing his first choice spot. The club appointed coach of Deportivo B Cristobal Parralo to be in temporary charge until the end of the season, and his appointment will no doubt help Uzoho cement his spot as first choice. Parralo was the coach who signed Uzoho to the club, and recommended him to the first team after just two months with the B team, where he displaced the first choice goalkeeper. A member of the Nigeria U17 team of 2013, Uzoho will no doubt relish the prospect of working with Parralo who once described him as one of the best hands he has worked with at junior level. The 18year old Uzoho will however have a first feel of his spot in the manager’s plan when they take on Las Palmas in back to back game in the Copa Del Rey on Thursday and in the La-Liga on Monday. |

Na just assumption based on the fact that Uzoho played under him as first choice GK. Was the coach quoted as saying anything to that effect?\ Owngoal guesses they hit sometimes, e dey miss other times. ChrisKels: 1 Like |
