I have been lured and tempted into FO today, and am now scared the free fall may continue tomorrow, your prayers needed against the continued fall as bnstil concerned. I plan a stop loss at 36.5 naira though subject to review. Your candid advice needed please.

stay clear of the juju stock for now listen to Agba advice minute ago as quoted "" I actually like this line. Let me add: There is ALWAYS money to be made in NSE You miss one opportunity, you WAIT for another "" grin

currentprice:
between now to Dec, FO will likely touch N25. be careful of the juju stock.

Simple, just watch out for stocks with significant change in ROE versus previous year
10% increase in ROE should give you at least 20% profit
So for 100% profit, look out for 50-100% increase in ROE or better still higher margin

You don't see them often (unless in economic recoveries, as we have now) but you will always see two or three in a year. So vigilance!
One easy way is to watch out for GOOD stocks that are poorly performing in current year; hunt for their Q1-Q2 reports following year

For safety, make sure the stocks are dividend paying

No Technicals, no charts ...
You can hardly go wrong

Yap. That's what I've digested recently in this forum. Thank you very much brother. I got to step up my sense of diligence. Life can be tricky.

I cannot understand why someone would still want to buy FO now.
The TA advocates themselves are running away from the juju stock .

I have always wondered why Zenith's price trails that of GTB by such a wide margin. It seems Zenith might be hiding a few things in their books. I don't mind if anyone can explain this to me. Just trying to understand these financial reports. Only N47B was booked in the P/L account. Compare P/L accounts of GTB and FBNH with Notes 6 & 7 for GTB and FBNH respectively.

My brother it is spiritual grin grin

Zenith has always paid more dividend than GTB except last year I think

On a more serious note I think it is the premium on corporate governance, not only the result
Don't you think Ovia has more grip on Zenith than the biggest share holder in GTB has on guaranty?

Those who make things happen on those fronts are mainly foreign investors and they don't joke with corporate governance. To them, no amount is too much premium to pay. Regarding corporate governance, I think stanbic is even now ahead of Zenith if not GTB. First bank and Union bank used to be no1 and 2 pre-2007 competing with dividends and bonus. Where are they today? Nigerian managers sending people back to their villages since Mongo Park

Okay, that explains the price differential even though c.60% is too much like kilode cheesy

Accountants or financial experts in the house please help with an explanation for the different impairment values in P/L and Note 28 biko (learning and investing at the same time wink )

Zenith's highly undervalued
I think the market makers are responsible for always keeping it below its true value

Yes to the uninformed eye.

Investors do well with fundamental analysis.
Traders with technical.
It's not everyday you get news or announcements or disclosures
