Seyitorl: As long as the transcript is signed, sealed and stamped, you can send it to IQAS yourself. Use DHL. Have someone else do it on your behalf so your name is not the sender. You should be fine. They want the school to send it to avoid fraud. But they know what they are looking for (stamped, signed, sealed). Even if you school sends it and the seal is broken (often by reckless NIPOST, if you use them), they still won't collect it. But if the seal is broken, don't even bother. They'll reject it and insist you send another. |

XX01: Yes, speaking is 9. That's why I am surprised at the writing as well. I am not doubting the Listening. Living a French speaking country has dulled my English, to be honest. 2 Likes |

hugoe: I have a suggestion Can you try to also write TEF? Check what your score will be if you have listening as 8 and reading as 7.5. You may not need PNP. Just practice the IELTs. Where did you write the exam? |

XX01:Even if s/he have paid, transcript is still in Nigeria. That's 9 weeks processing time excluding time for IQAS to acknowledge receipt (which can be up to 4 weeks). I'd rather go with cancellation, request refund and use the money on another body. Only if degree in question is not Law though. cc: Seyitorl |

hugoe: The best suggestion I have got for you is to retake the IELTS whilst waiting on your ECA. You sound like you'll ace it on second attempt. You'll just need to do some bit more practice. 1 Like |

Someone please help me. I'm new on this thread. Does being a practicing lawyer in Nigeria have an added advantage for the immigration process? What will be my highest level of completed education? Can my BL certificate be an equivalent of masters or entry to practice professional degree? Thank you! |

lilyandie:Kindly shed more light on how you arrived at your CRS. This may be beneficial to every other person with a less than 8 score in listening. I used the tool with your IELTS as stated and assumed the following: Age- less than 30 PhD degree 3yrs max work experience CRS=432 and I later assumed you have sibling in Canada and CRS=447 5 Likes |

sleekysilk: thank you so much for that. I have goggled the meaning of IQAS and have an idea of what it's about. But please, it means having to make some extra payments doesn't it? |

cochtrane:Bros, wetin make I talk na. PhD assumption things. GlitteringStar:Even with spouse ECA+IELTS, except either PA or spouse don school or work for Canada before. That's the only thing I've not considered The implication of less than 8 in listening is a whole 50 marks loss under skill transferability |

[quote author=XX01 post=61820606] Make sure you sign at the end after submission. [/quote I think they have issues, the tab to sign not displaying. Website update i guess, last last, i will withdraw the profile and do another. Thanks |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 2 by cochtrane(m): 1:28pm On Oct 27, 2017 |
sleekysilk:The only explanation I see from using the basic things is switching the scores of listening and reading. If you switch those, you see huge implications. Maybe OP gave one for the other. 2 Likes 1 Share |

cochtrane: Even at that, you need 8.5 on listening to max out skill transferability. |

Santino1:Yeah true. But you really don't need max of 8.5 if you've got a masters. 8 will do mostly. |
