Since they want everyone who is 'performing' to make the team na. Even Jay Jay must be called. Our midfield needs him.

I think is high time we sat down physically with oga forgiveness/mikeal2 on y dey keep on hammering on old players who obviously won't add any tangible contribution towards d team

No ooo, they are still hot, their stats will show it. World Cup is serious business. The small boys have done the qualifiers. It's time for the men to carry the baton to Russia. We must invite them to satisfy some here who cannot let them go.

All of them must be given a chance. No discrimination, no sentiments. Please add John Utaka. He is still very active at CS Sedan Ardennes in France. Utaka scored a very important goal for us against Cameroon at Afcon 2004. We must call him too. I will post his recent stats by God's grace.

One thing you want to avoid at this moment is distraction from old players who are not part of the process. Leave the team they way it is and just add to what you have. Obafemi Martins is an old story same with Osaze,Emenike, Ambrose and Taiye Taiwo.

I don't know why people engage certain characters here and try to take them serious. Some body who think Tiago Ilori should be invited to replace Omeruo....Very unserious.

What can u say about these players coz if Martins get recalled they deserves it too

1.Enyeama coz we lack quality keeper

2Taiye Taiwo cos we lack back up for Echiejele.

3.Ambrose Efe to back up our CBs

4.Emma Emenike to give us more options in d attack

5.Ike Uche too coz is still doing it in 2nd LA liga

6.Osaze coz he is doing well in Indonesia.

7.Oboboana can still make d cut.

8.Plus Obafemi Martins .

Pls what what do u think

I am an apostolic of good things especially inform players.

If any of these players are doing well in a reasonable league, I support their invitation to the national team.

Obviously, I want Enyeama back because he's better than all we have.

2, I have clamored for his invitation here times without number because he's far better than Echiejile but I don't know why they left him out till date. If he's fit and performing well, why not?

3. I think Ambrose is the most experienced CB we have now. Rohr should give him a chance to prove himself in one of our friendlies. It will save us time chasing those German boys we no think about us.

4. He said he has retired. However, his statistics are not impressive.

5. Ike Uche is still miles better than some of our strikers. If he does well why not, but I suspect his case would be difficult because of his current league.

6. Well, I don't think Osaze should be given a chance because of the pedigree of his league.

7. He has been off radar lately.

8. The reason many of us are clamouring for him is because he has been consistent for 6 years now in a role. Now, that is no fluke.

So let give d old ones who are still kicking d ball and in good form chance may be they are better.

Martin has no value to add to that team. End of discussion.

You are very correct but the simple question is "where were the best" when the qualifiers were going on?

Anybody that refused to identify with us during the qualifiers should simply keep off.

Dele welcome to the competition. We have Uzoho who is promising. We have Enyeama who has not returned yet. We have Ezenwa who is holding it at the moment. We have Akpeyi we are not confident in. We have Ikeme, who is still getting treatment. We have Alampasu, who has still not gotten a chance. The door is not shut to Dele either.

In all, let Rohr decide.

Serbia Wants Eagles Friendly
By The Eagle Online On Oct 26, 2017

Serbia has opened discussions for a friendly match against the Super Eagles ahead of the Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup.
The friendly, according to the President of the Serbia-Nigeria-Chamber of Commerce, Dr. Temi Gold, is aimed at preparing the Serbian side for the Mundial.

In a chat with the media, Gold said time has come for Nigeria to explore all avenues for growth in the country and that sports, especially football, is one of the areas.

He revealed that contacts are being made at the highest level for a friendly match between Nigeria and Serbia and that talks are ongoing.

Gold said: “I can assure you that we are in contact with the NFF President, Mr. Melvin Amaju Pinnick.
“He has assured us that we can work together.

“We are also talking to the Technical Committee Chairman, Barrister Chris Green.
“And we are getting closer.
“The NFF President himself confirmed to the media that all doors are open for the Super Eagles to play friendlies and he has been talking all parties.
“As it clicks, including the game against Serbia, we will open up.
“It’s really work in progress for us at the NFF.”
Dr. Gold said what the friendly game hopes to achieve is not only entertainment but a way to rediscover the economic prosperity of the greatest and biggest African nation on earth, adding: “Just watch out.”

Agent Confesses- Eagles Coach Rohr Turned Down Big Money To Invite My Player

The appointment of Gernot Rohr has made it almost impossible for player agents to buy their way into the senior national team of Nigeria according to a player agent who spoke with Owngoalnigeria.com.

Since the coming of Rohr over a year ago, a lot has changed in the fortunes of the Super Eagles on the pitch, but more significant is the progress made outside the pitch.

” A lot has changed especially for us who are player agents, I don’t know about others but I use to have six players in the Super Eagles, some I paid for them to be called up, while some were there on merit”, he told Owngoalnigeria.com.

” I must confess I have not given money directly to any coach before, but there are guys who do the leg work and get the job done but with Rohr nobody wants to take such risk. His body language is enough to discourage you.

“Presently I have one player in the team and he isn’t doing badly at all‎, which is why he is still in the team, at a time I have a player who is now playing in a league not befitting for his standard.

” I tried using the Super Eagles to increase his market value but despite my big money offer, I was told in clear terms that Rohr works with his scouts who are mostly unknown. He will collect the player’s name and ask them to monitor”, he concluded.

From now on if I don't see substance in the news I won't post it. Reason why I ignored ANS report about the Serbia friendly but posted The Eagle Online's version rather. ANS apparently stole the news (didn't reference any source) and there were no direct quotes.

And that's the reason why we are having this Martins debate -- baseless reporting.

Why not, lets throw the camp open and choose the best legs like we do with under 17. Invite everybody including Onobi,Ajagun,Lawal,Olofinjana,Mutiu Adepoju, Ajibade Babalade and my whole kindred and destroy the whole process just because I have deep seated insecurity.

And if that didnt work lets invite my clan members in England like Adarabioyo,Solanke, Lukman an co and see if they can use English clout to break into the team just so my inferiority complex can be fixed.

Listen up everybody, you must learn to ignore unreasonable comments ,except if you want to make fun of these elements of division.
Super Eagle has a unit we are working with and the dumbest thing to do is to start attracting unfamiliar faces who will bring their own ego just because they are veterans. I love this current Super Eagles more that the other set for one thing we dont have egotistic elements in this team.

Mikel is very calm and matured
Onazi is very humble and matured
Ighalo is not even sure if he is a sure starter
Balogun is very focused and disciplined
Iwobi,Iheanacho and Aina are like little kids who play in the sand
Ndidi seems to have strong character but he can be benched anytime
VicMo doesnt have the pull to generate conflicts
The rest are just there and dont care for power that much....Abdulahi na correct Malam,Echiejile is very worried,Simon Moses is very dispensable,Ekong knows we are watching like vultures, Ogu has pull but he will have to wait to start playing...lol

My point is dont mess this good thing we have going on..Daalu nu.
