Listen again! Did you just listen to Takam? The dude was obviously angry.

Let's be frank, it wasn't clear AJ was going to kill him or knock him out. It wasn't clear at all.

Rewind that part and you'd see what happened was that AJ punched his(Takam) left hand, and then missed the second because Takam dodged. And it was on account of those two wrong punches the ref called off the match.

It is normal for Takam to be angry. We shouldn't apply sentiments to certain things, particularly when it involves injuries. Tim Hague was a Canadian boxer who died this year after he was knocked down FIVE Times in the first two rounds. The referee obliged his trainers who confirmed he was fine. Sadly, he suffered severe damages and died two days later.

Takam was bleeding from both eyes already and doctors had been called upon on different occasions to confirm if he is fit to continue. For every round break, blood was cleaned from his eyes with a big towel rather than him drinking to regain strength. It was obvious, particularly when the hits from AJ was fast becoming incessant.

Ideally, boxers don't throw in the towel, regardless of horrible their shape or body is. Boxing is quite different from wrestling and mixed martial arts. We all wanted to see one of them fall but we did not and that does not in any way embellish the eventual result.

Tim Hague is dead today because he told the referee he was fit to continue when he wasn't. Takam could have been blinded permanently or suffered much worse.

Smh AJ is scared of Deontay Wilder lol.

Shut your mouth if you know nothing about boxing.

Wilder ain't even deserved AJ cos he had like 38 bouts and not one of them is in top 5 in his division. Anthony on the other hand has better fighter on his record. Whyte, Vladimir, and now takam.

Don't forget wilder had been avoiding whyte. He was offered 5m but would rather go for 1m offer with another fighter that looks like a doughnut seller.

Wilder is scared of AJ.

He was there when AJ defeated Vladimir and he could have approached the stage and challenge AJ.

Great fighter fight real boxers.

AJ had proven himself.. we're waiting for Wilder.

Even all American hall of famers are with AJ. Cos they know he represent the glory of the oldskul boxing when sh1t was real.

Hopefully the fight is made next year. That is what all Boxing fans want to see in the HW division.
Hope so too but I think 2019 would be more realistic.

Really?
A record holder of 37 wins by KO throws punches like a girl? Haba!.
I wonder what would happened if he throws punches like a boy.
You really need to see him fight.

You're very funny o, congratulating Nigeria for AJ's victory. Is AJ representing Nigeria?

Wilder hasn't fought a good counter-puncher. He has a glassed chin, yet untested.
I quite agree. He has a way of overwhelming his opponents within a little space of time before raining those girly punches on them. He had challenged AJ before now and the Champ stayed mum. The world had thought Deontay would be AJ's next fight before Pulev came to the scene and now Takam.

Yes, he was.

Wizkid was played, just as Joshua wanted to link his Nigerian roots
The Nigerian flag was hoisted in the ring before the start of the fight
Then he introduced his father that came from Nigeria to watch him to a crowd of over 78,000 and millions around the world

It's the duty of the refree to protect fighters from being seriously injured.

Same thing happened with mayweather and Conor.

No fighter wants the bout to be stopped despite their condition, but that's when the referee comes in to protect them

You are right. I completely agree and I take back my word that Takam was robbed.

Let's forget all these long stories. The Takam that came out of that match didn't look like one who'd be blinded. If we are to use your bleeding argument we can also conclude the referee should have called off the match on account of suffocation when AJ had his nose broken.

The bottom line is, AJ was better than Takam but that KO is not a KO. It doesn't qualify as one. The same way we have bad refereeing in football is the same thing that happened tonight. That was poor refereeing.

AJ beat a 41yrs old past his prime Klitschko, Takam was a replacement that had only 12 days to prepare for this fight and only in your delusional mind is he a top fighter. As for Whyte, Wilder has agreed to fight him as long as there is mandatory clause he fights AJ next.

Wilder has been calling him out for months for a unification bout, while AJ's only response he is not ready. The Heavyweight division needs the unification bout, so AJ has to be a warrior and face Wilder to cement his legacy or questions will always surround him.

An Old Vladimir will destroy wilder.

And you must be the delusional one to think wilder stands a chance against AJ.

He had 38 bouts, mention one great boxer he defeated. As old as the Ukrainian boxer is, wilder will never stand pass 5 rounds before he get banged

Aj was on his 18 pro fights when he called for Vladimir. He's courageous, took the test and passed in flying colours. He's going places. He's the face of boxing.

Wilder must have been on cracks, just like you to ever think he's better than AJ

Not until he proves himself.

Fake ass boxer. Chat shits and he'll get banged.

Wilder reminds me of McGregor. His mouth keeps going Wider, Wider.... Wider... until he gets knocked out and accuse the referee of stopping the bout too early. AJ should reserve the fight for much more later, while Wilder should keep hyping the future "Big Money" fight

JOSHUA,the bigger man with the bigger name, heads into the bout as the overwhelming favourite. The Englishman is unbeaten in his professional career with 19 wins, all coming via knockout.
But will Takam try and unsettle the IBF and WBA 'Super' holder when they take on the all-important staredown?
Anthony Joshua hopes to join Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson as a boxing icon

I think the ref was just trying to preserve takam for his last fight before retirement.Joshua won the at least 9 out of the already fought rounds.so even if taken win the las t two he will still no win so why taking the punishment ?what the pain ? He tried yes he did but AJ outclassed him but yet AJ wasn't just smart to me
