Right now, I can confirm that there are expectant women (poor) who are dying in childbirth all over the country as a result of the strike. The net effect is that the country's maternal expectancy is back to 4 th world levels. Several hospitals, esp public ones in Kenya, are not even fit to be called veterinary facilities, thanks to a shambolic handling of health issues. The govt wants to break up the public health provision system, to the point it's pathetic, and gladly auction it off to Dutch and American insurance firms. A slave colony.
