geebaby10:Here is the number: +1 (613) 944-4000. Use the combination 1111 then follow the voice prompt. Pls do not use your cellular network credit, because you need to be ready for wait time of like 30mins before speaking to an agent. Just do a skype subscription for Canada and you call with skype. When I call, I ask for R10, criminality, eligibility, security and visa office Some agents will tell you everything. 12 Likes 3 Shares |

jelmusboy:I feel one shouldn't underplay the importance of practice tests. From experience (mine and a couple of friends), the real exam score we got for listening and reading was the average scores we had during different practice tests. i.e, someone that gets 30-33 constantly in practice tests has a lower probability of getting 35 and above (in the real tests) While someone who constantly gets between 36 and 40 has a higher probability. True, the atmosphere and tension may be different, but acing practice tests, gives more confidence (not overconfidence o). Best Wishes!! 6 Likes |

Good Afternoon Everyone, Congrats to all the PPA receivers. I tap into your speed. Oct 14 results: LRWS - 8.5, 8.0, 7.0, 8.0 Current score with crs tool is 444. I guess my journey is gradually starting. Waiting for WES now. Please, i have questions. 1. To raise POF, I want to sell a property. I currently have allocation letter for it. Will a bill of sale and the allocation letter suffice to support the sudden lump sum deposit into my account? 2. The buyer wants me to open an account with a particular bank for the transfer to be done within the same bank to avoid long story. Please, hope this won't pose any trouble with the VO because the account will be less than 6 months old. 3. Spouse wants to sell one of the cars. Can bill of sale and previous car papers be used to support this large sum deposit? 4. Please, do i need any other documents to support all the selling? Thank you for your responses in advance Gurus. 3 Likes |

Good day my people, I once applied for Canada student visa and I was denied, my 18years old name was not included then, due to an error from the immigration lawyer I used then, now that I intend to apply for PR can I go ahead to include her name. Since I will have to declare the visa denial and my details will be in there system. |

melarose: To be honest, I was shocked at my Listening score. I expected something better. I think I mixed up the answers in the maps section (in section 3 i suppose). So i am practising maps and diagrams and other little common mistakes like pluralising words and writing in capitals where necessary. I also go back to check the ones i did not get right after each practice and learn why. Its better to make all the mistakes now. |

Greetings peeps! Two things please 1. this question goes to post-ITA applicants who only evaluated their Masters degree When filling the EE profile, under educational history, I see the I can make entries of both my MSc and BSc, indicating that no ECA was done for the BSc. I want to know though, is it necessary to enter the BSc? If I do, I hope down the line I won't be required to provide supporting docs asides certificate. 2. I concluded MSc in Dec 2011, worked from Jan 2012 till Sept 2013 on a job I'm not claiming points for. I intend to claim points for the job I began Oct 2013. I don't need to enter any information about the first job under work history since it doesn't count towards anything, or do I? I ask because I want to know whether the almost 2 year gap would be an issue down the line. I read sth on the previous thread about closing gaps for work history so one wouldn't get an ADR, or sth like that, can't recall vividly. so do gaps matter? Experts and Semi-experts please answer. Thank you! |

chizilulu: The bolded should not pose a problem at all. Simply give ALL your answers in either UPPER CASE or lower case to avoid losing mark for capitalization. |

In April, i wrote IELTS LRSW was 8,6.5,7,7 giving me 415. I didn't give up. i did WES, did my UK police report and rewrote IELTS on 14th result was 9,9,8,7.5. Overall score is 475. Patiently waiting for ITA on Wednesday. Na so my Canny dream don dey come true. I've read alot of things here to know become person agent sef no need to dey ask questions.I think my questions will start when its time to submit. This is just to encourage people not to give up. slowly but surely we will get there. God bless you all. 25 Likes |

The thread is slow today sha. Everybody packaging their POF, those battling their schools and WES for verification, those on top IELTS, those waiting for PPR, those checking CIC profile everyday, those trying to wear swimming trunks to dive inside pool, plus those guests that are always peeping at us, plus the ITA hopefuls, I hail all of una. Make una no dull thread abeg. We must all celebrate. 16 Likes |

Remember that we are in different time zones. Your night is probably their evening of a previous day. Give it time and check again tomorrow. Dannyko: |

Emmasonic4me:I personally won't encourage the bolded, I think answering in upper case is best. In the case of Nouns as answers, I'm not sure it would be wise to start the spelling with lower case. My opinion though. 4 Likes |

Aig84: U r absolutely correct. U lose mark if u start a noun with small letter. It's safe to write listening and reading answers in CAPS. 3 Likes |

Aig84: Irrespective of whether the answer is a noun or not, once you adopt the lower case style, you need to maintain it all through. The answer will be correct so long as the spelling is right. You may confirm from British Council's website https://takeielts.britishcouncil.org/prepare-your-test/test-day-advice/listening-test-advice In summary, it's only advisable to go with the option of upper case letters for legibility for both listening and reading sections in case your handwriting might put the examiner in a situation of doubt. |
