let the gurus in the house analyse this result for us

this is easykobo take...the one i trust.

Oct 30 (Lagos) - Flourmills of Nigeria Plc ( FLOURMILL ) joined Honeywell Flour Mills ( HONYFLOUR ) and Dangote Flour Mills Plc ( DANGFLOUR ) in releasing impressive third quarter results today to their respective shareholders.

All three Companies recorded gains in their total equity and BVPS which should provide a boost to their stock prices. DANGFLOUR and HONYFLOUR gained 10.19% and 4.98% today respectively at Nigerian Stock Exchange in Lagos.

FMN ( FLOURMILL ) the biggest of the three Companies was the last one to post its Q3 today and we should see positive reaction tomorrow it its stock price as well.

Top line sales grew 17% to N 298 billion for the first 6 months of its calender year ended Sep 30 2017.

Profit before tax rose 53% to N 9.35 billion in first 6 months of 2017 companies to N 8.8 billion in the same period of last year.

Profit after tax rose 45% to N 9.37 billion in the six month period up from N 6.4 billion for the same period of last year.

Finance costs were a major burden for the Company as they paid N 16 billion in finance cost up from N 10.9 billion in same period of last year.

FLOURMILL is raising N 70 billion part of which is meant for debt refinancing to lower this finance cost.

Shares of FLOURMILL currently trade at N 30 per unit.

remember that last year 3rd quarter PAT was 3B and diamond is the 5th richest bank in Nigeria, the good thing is that they didn't make loss. I think that fide, diamond and fcmb has a way of trading within the same price range. There are better companies out there though, but this company is a buy at N1

How is it the 5th richest bank.

I bought based on this rough analysis:

Share outstanding is 5B

Tigerbrands transferred 3.285B (65.7%) to Aliko.

"Subject to regulatory approvals, DIL will provide TBCG with an immediate cash injection of N10 billion. In return, Tiger Brands will
divest its 65.7% shareholding in TBCG to DIL for a nominal consideration and write off its shareholder loans to TBCG. In addition,
Tiger Brands will assume and settle outstanding debt guaranteed on behalf of TBCG."

This roughly implies that Aliko paid ~N3.04/ share (10B/3.285B).

I bought at N1.16, which is about 62% discount to Aliko's price.

Precedents have shown that Aliko is a very shrewd business man, I am willing to hold with him ...

Not a buy or sell recommendation

I did!

I put my money where Aliko put his. I believed the key facts of the deal was in the public domain. I did my school boy analysis based on the availab;e facts, bought my fill and made my thoughts public. I wasn't swayed by the daily 'upandan' of market afterwards.

The bottom line is that he sees value at N3.04!

I also see value with him at 62% discount to his entry price.

I don't see how i am buying at a premium (to him) unless he is willing to sell at any price below N1.16. Will he?

I will advise you sell at #1 if there is strong bid for it at #1 and buy back at 85kobo.
sir intendy told someone here last week to be patient and wait for FO at 36 and it happened.
i will also advise you to take comments you see here serious especially when people are pessmistic over some stocks.
just look at these stocks cileasing, dangote flour, sugar, nascon, fidelity etc gurus here has been praising for sometime now..........are they not doing well now?ofcourse.i am even regretting not grabing my own copy then.
Now you are hearing it again from those gurus that diamond bank will go below #1 and you are defending it just because you have it.
For me and my household,i am also waiting to join below #1.
If fcmb result comes out today,i will listen to the result interpretations from my ogas and make a hay while the sun shines because a stitch in time saves nine.Dont be a deaf fly that followed dead body to the grave.

if you understand reconstruction, you'll understand that it makes no diff, because everything is adjusted proportionately.

Even if you do a 1:100, Aliko will still end up owning 65.7% and I'll still retain my tashere %age

BTW, it would appear that Aliko might be controlling over 75.% of this company

locodemy:

kai double speed on my legs

zendi:
You're more at risk of reconstruction in that your oando that is about to suffer the father of equity dilution in the process of raising 80b for debt reduction. Dangflour has only 5b OS, and 5B it will remain because Dangote doesnt do rights issue or any of such schemes by which small investors are wiped out. He funds the expansions without creating new shares.

Don't be too desperate to promote easykobo by discrediting another source when you it's clear the info is right. NSE report summary is usually not in percentages. So the info is correct.
By the way, I don't fail to use easykobo for one thing or the other (price history most times wink )
