Well, I am not even thinking about his team and quality of league because sincerely while there's a presumption that if you have your national team players playing for clubs in the top leagues it does good for the national team, I still reckon that national team football is different and so therefore even players from 'low leagues' can play well for their countries. I think patriotism and pride is the something that distinguishes club football from club football.

My only concern is that I have not heard much about him. More on his younger brother sef than him. But if the consensus here is that he merits it then I will shove my doubts away.
We just need to give kudos to Rohr for the invitation if truly the invitation came through his scouts coz nobody expect it

Honestly nobody agitate for his call up so how come we are now saying he merits the call up,i can't remeber when any moniker said this guy deserves a call up,meaning we are not monitoring him here except some clips from tbaba.

The technical crew must have seen something they are looking for, hope he justify the call up.

Good for the them,i w like to see Uzoho in goal just to see may be he is equal to the task.

This is the time to see what Uche Agbo can offer instead of getting invitation without kicking ball.

John Ogu too need to prove to us that he deserved d invitations extended to him

Also Ebuhei need to show us his quality, the same thing Ola Aina in the absence of Echiejele.

Nwakaeme should start to determined his readiness for the big tasks..

This match may make or mar some guys chances in d team especially Agbo,Ogu,Nwakaeme,Ebuhei time to prove that they are not pushover.

Uzoho, Oyekwuru, Nwakili just need to show class that they can do it or else they are out, they should grabbed the opportunity.

Honestly i want CB pairing of Ekong and Agbo against Algeria and CB pairing of Balogun and Awaziem against Argentina.

If Uzoho can prove a class against Algeria meaning Akpeyi,Ezenwa w find it difficult to bench him against Argentina just like the way Akpeyi is finding it tough to reclaim his shirt back.

Uzoho performance may put an end to agitation for Enyeama, though too early to say that coz he need to prove it in camp that he is better than Ezenwa and Akpeyi first.
The first bolded is the reason why this match though a dead rubber match as far as qualification is concerned might not be a dead rubber match for some players particularly the ones you have mentioned. The team has qualified but some players have not qualified and this match is their great opportunity.

On the second bolded:while it is quite evident that Troost and Leon have developed good understanding it is also important to test out your combination. Because if the defensive CB all have deep understanding among themselves it would really give us flexibility as anyone can be good enough on any given day.

Onyekuru, Ebuehi, Uzoho you guys are on the hotseats: your time starts NOW.

Please forgiveness this is uncalled for. You might have your suspicions but until you can confirm it with evidence don't make such damaging accusations.
We live in an age where if you really want to find out anything you can do so. You can even reach out to Kayode and ask him why he's not been invited.

Ocheje only played the first match vs Scotland. Thomas also played that CRC game and the next vs Scotland. Ezenwa played the last 3. No injuries whatsoever. From the aforementioned, Ezenwa looks like the 1st choice to me.

Ocheje was in goal for most of the AYC. Ezenwa I think kept in one game.

Our first game was against Costa Rica, Ideye scored the only goal. Moses Ocheje kept goal. Femi Thomas did not keep goal in any game. The two other group games where we beat Scotland 2-0 and drew 0-0 with Japan I can't remember who kept goal.

I know Ezenwa kept against Zambia and in the 4-0 loss to Chile in the quarter final but I can't remember what happened along the line why Ocheje was changed.

How I recall Ezenwa was second choice was after the regulation time against Chile it was 0-0. Ezenwa made so many saves up till that point and the commentator mentioned he doesn't know why Ezenwa was second choice to Ocheje. Meaning Ezenwa was better. That was minutes before the Isla led Chilean side started raining goals into our net.

if they are deploying him as a wingback then it's their loss, he is quite good going forward and defensively as well, I think he plays as a DMF as well so it is easy to understand why they want him in that wingback role. However this begs the question as to why Rohr invited him? I am guessing Echejile finally has some competition and if that is the case I'd elect Chidi to start ahead of him any day
Haha Micho, this is a guy that just got invitation and u already believe he should start ahead of Echiejele.

Rohr and his coaching thinks otherwise. You have to pay your way into the system.

Merit has been offered on the alter of corruption.

People whose norms and values detest corruption can never succeed in this system.

I am sure those who came from a background where money is valued over credibility and good name will surely applaud this corrupt practices.

The system must be purged of corruption.
what if we eventually wins WC with these players that paid their way into the team.
pls list the players u think that paid money to Rohr,or is it all the players?

Finding a player who is in far away obscure league in the national team above those playing in the top ten leagues in the world calls for scrutiny and allegations of corruption practices.

It is unacceptable and it must stop.

If they wan sue me I am ready to prove that my allegations of corruption malpractices are substantial enough based on critical reasoning and some concrete evidence from popular figures that openly admitted that coaches takes bride to get players in the National team.

More obscured than NPFL? Our last AFCON title was won by an NPFL player.

Which league are Cameroonian players that just won the last AFCON playing?

Are your preferred playing for Real Madrid?

I am so happy Rohr didn't listen to people like you by inviting kayode who to me is "blunt" striker ie striker wey no sharp, striker wey no sabi score goals just like his brother in crime Ideye.

It baffles me that you don't know that Kayode is not the type of striker you hope to deliver you when you are losing 2 nil with the time running down, and I am tempted to think that your sense judgment of a player's ability is flawed, either that or what you are doing is a premeditated calculated attempt at imposing incompetent players on us.

Infact I want to believe that you are an agent and have collected money from these below par players with a promise of a slot into SE and now that your mission is not achieved, you are beginning to scream blue murder!

I won't be surprised that it was your type that fostered the likes of Rueben Gabriel, Ajagun, Uchebo, Babatunde on keshi at 2014 WC spoiling our eyes with that dirty display at the Mundial while you smiled to the bank. Be careful, because right now I am beginning to suspect you.

I mean look at the players you are suggesting that Rohr invites to the SE, Martins, Taiye Taiwo, Kayode, Onuoha, Raheem, etc all mediocres. Don't you have eyes to spot a good footballer?... Or you are just being mischievously stupid?

Now you are foaming from both sides of your mouth because your paid players are not invited.

With the performances of Ezenwa so far, if given the chance you will rather drop him for Alampasu and Ajiboye...Guy behave o!

Making sound decisions and judgments in football matters does not equate to shouting upandan on nairaland and littering our phone screens with lopsided mentions.

In conclusion, I will call on other sensible members of this thread to stand up against people like @forgiveness who only have their own selfish interest at heart at the expense of the overall success of the Super Eagles.

So far we all have done a good job at keeping people like him at bay but the battle is not won yet until the final 23 list for the world Cup is drafted and mediocres{like his suggestions} are far away from it.
