forgiveness:

Let us make it simple and short.

Guardiola kicked out a sharp shooter out of Manchester City in the person of Kelechi Iheanacho and brought in a blunt striker wey no sharp in the person of Olanrewaju Kayode into the club. What an irony! grin

You see ya life! grin

About the rest you wrote *yawn* I am not understanding.
thank God Nwakali is also a man city player

exactly why I've ignored him.
comparing Nwakali 3 years ago when he was barely 17, to a 24-year-old's achievement now..

Abi was Rohr even the coach 3 years ago. But he believes it's the NFF.
Wasn't it the same Azeez who went to the world cup in 2014 under the NFF's nose? Was he not rewarded then for his showing with Almeria?
I don't even get his argument.

safarigirl:
I can't believe you guys are actually responding to forgiveness and his childish tantrum undecided....

Has it not already been established that he is prone to having mouth(finger) diarrhoea whenever Rohr releases a list that doesn't have players like Kayode, Ajagun, Ilori and Solanke on it?

Seriously, no be every disturbance una go dey flash torch for

A lot of things can happen from now till the world cup. Players like Sarenren Bazee, Brian Idowu, Omeruo, Kayode, Success etc will still fight for a world cup place. I expect a real battle for the 23 slots.

Rohr calls Mikel, Musa, 22 others for Algeria, Argentina
By The NFF
Updated: October 30, 2017

THE FULL LIST

Goalkeepers: Daniel Akpeyi (Chippa United, South Africa); Ikechukwu Ezenwa (FC IfeanyiUbah); Francis Uzoho (Deportivo La Coruna, Spain)

Defenders: William Ekong (Bursaspor FC, Turkey); Abdullahi Shehu (Anorthosis Famagusta, Cyprus); Tyronne Ebuehi (ADO Den Haag, The Netherlands); Leon Balogun (FSV Mainz 05, Germany); Uche Agbo (Standard Liege, Belgium); Chidozie Awaziem (Nantes FC, France); Olaoluwa Aina (Hull City, England)

Midfielders: Mikel John Obi (Tianjin Teda, China); Ogenyi Onazi (Trabzonspor FC, Turkey); Wilfred Ndidi (Leicester City, England); Oghenekaro Etebo (CD Feirense, Portugal); John Ogu (Hapoel Be’er Sheva, Israel); Mikel Agu (Bursaspor FC, Turkey); Chidiebere Nwakali (Sogndal FC, Norway)

Forwards: Ahmed Musa (Leicester City, England); Kelechi Iheanacho (Leicester City, England); Moses Simon (KAA Gent, Belgium); Alex Iwobi (Arsenal FC, England); Odion Ighalo (Chang Chun-Yatai, China); Henry Onyekuru (RSC Anderlecht, Belgium); Anthony Nwakaeme (Hapoel Be’er Sheva, Israel)

STANDBY: Kenneth Omeruo (Kasimpasa FC, Turkey); Alhassan Ibrahim (FK Austria Wien, Austria); Brian Idowu (FC Amkar Perm, Russia)

I'm quite satisfied with this list, it's to a very large extent fair.

It's a match winning selection, so I think that cuts it.

I would have loved to have Dessers, but that wasn't the case. I can't cry foul because my other favorites didn't make it, hereby accusing the coach of corruption.

We can't always have it our ways, we're not Rorh.

So happy to see Onyekuru, he must surely start in the absence of Moses. Brian Idowu too, seems his switch has been settled. happy he's also a left back.

Nice one too Nwakali.

I am so happy Rohr didn't listen to people like you by inviting kayode who to me is "blunt" striker ie striker wey no sharp, striker wey no sabi score goals just like his brother in crime Ideye.

It baffles me that you don't know that Kayode is not the type of striker you hope to deliver you when you are losing 2 nil with the time running down, and I am tempted to think that your sense judgment of a player's ability is flawed, either that or what you are doing is a premeditated calculated attempt at imposing incompetent players on us.

Infact I want to believe that you are an agent and have collected money from these below par players with a promise of a slot into SE and now that your mission is not achieved, you are beginning to scream blue murder!

I won't be surprised that it was your type that fostered the likes of Rueben Gabriel, Ajagun, Uchebo, Babatunde on keshi at 2014 WC spoiling our eyes with that dirty display at the Mundial while you smiled to the bank. Be careful, because right now I am beginning to suspect you.

I mean look at the players you are suggesting that Rohr invites to the SE, Martins, Taiye Taiwo, Kayode, Onuoha, Raheem, etc all mediocres. Don't you have eyes to spot a good footballer?... Or you are just being mischievously stupid?

Now you are foaming from both sides of your mouth because your paid players are not invited.

With the performances of Ezenwa so far, if given the chance you will rather drop him for Alampasu and Ajiboye...Guy behave o!

Making sound decisions and judgments in football matters does not equate to shouting upandan on nairaland and littering our phone screens with lopsided mentions.

In conclusion, I will call on other sensible members of this thread to stand up against people like @forgiveness who only have their own selfish interest at heart at the expense of the overall success of the Super Eagles.

So far we all have done a good job at keeping people like him at bay but the battle is not won yet until the final 23 list for the world Cup is drafted and mediocres{like his suggestions} are far away from it.

This is disappointing, forgiveness. Impugning on someone else's character (both Chidi and Rohr) just to make your point. You have accused Rohr (who has gone months without pay) of being corrupt with no tangible proof. You have no record of money changing hands, no phone calls, no record of anyone saying Rohr has received bribe.....

These are grave allegations you are making against someone who could easily be your father and another who could be your younger brother. People doing their best to succeed in their chosen profession and you come out to make this accusation against them based on hearsay or the thrill Nigerians get for highlighting how "corrupt" we are? The fact that you have no qualms making false accusations against these men is a serious cause for concern. For someone who always requests for concrete facts for any counterclaim to your points, I think the onus is on you to provide verifiable facts in this case to be credible. At least you need no fear any backlash since you are anonymous (well not completely anonymous)

The internet is a force for both good and evil. Some use it to promote good, while others use it to "bear false witness against their neighbor". I am sure you have your own chosen profession for which you would not take lightly, any false accusations made against you simply because your accusers are not reasoning in the same wavelength. You may not take what you've done here seriously, but know that it is planting a seed of mistrust in the minds of people about honest hardworking men. You need to make a decision on whether you want to be a force for bringing people up or manufacturing accusations to have the upper hand.

It costs nothing to make accusations...Jesus enemies did the same when they couldn't explain his power. Be very careful so that the measure you use on others will not be used against you!

Rohr and his coaching thinks otherwise. You have to pay your way into the system.

Merit has been offered on the alter of corruption.

People whose norms and values detest corruption can never succeed in this system.

I am sure those who came from a background where money is valued over credibility and good name will surely applaud this corrupt practices.

The system must be purged of corruption.

All these just because of one player.

This selection is good enough to win us the game, so what? I personally don't see why Musa should be invited in place of Kayode too.

It shouldn't be about only Kayode, there are other strikers who are currently outscoring and out-assisting Kayode currently and still didn't make the cut, so what's the fuss about.

Ramon started playing in LA liga 2 at just 19/20 years of age. No excuse .

Ramon Azeez deserved to be part of that team because he played regularly in LA liga for two seasons.

Chidiebere Nwakali failed woefully in LA liga 2. He couldn't perform atva higher level than Norway.

I presumed they want to use the national team to boost his chances of getting visa in UK. Just the same way they did for Ndidi.

The Norwegian league is ranked no 27 much below Azerbaijan and Cyprus. He plays for Sogndol Fc which is in the relegation zone, third to the bottom.

His contract is owned by Manchester city which means nothing in the context of quality. Has not even played for the academy. In reality when city ship you out to Norway and to a team third from bottom, you are simply not rated and just an investment gone sour.

To be a RB in the Norwegian league and to be considered quality you should be one of the 3 best RB's in the league. Mold and Rosenburg have shown some quality. But way off top European quality.

Finally, I am bewildered on what basis I am certain that we have far better prospects across far far better leagues in Europe. Who have shown quality and potential in league's with a far higher standard of quality and competitiveness. It seems brother Egunje has come through the back door.

Bruv something ain't right, it's daylight robbery.

Let's be honest Norwegian league players.

Uzoho makes some sense not overwhelming but for a youngster to break into LaLiga says something.

The proposition cannot be ignored, the best players are in the best leagues, best teams and if not then are widely recognised as the best in thier leagues.

For instance Aina is undoubtedly the best RB in the championship that makes him top quality. Just like Tega Abrahams is the best young striker in the premiership after tearing up the Championship last season.

dude is way way better than his junior brother, I have to say it straight and short, I do not find that his brother special compared to Chidiebere himself. He has better managers as well, if not he would be in an Epl team right now, if that would have been good for his development is another thing entirely but I believe he is making the right choices. The guy is a total baller, I believe he can play AMF and from the wings and also as a SS, I'd best deploy him as an AMF right about now.

I said it back then that when the list will be released it will show which result we would go home with, of course we won't be walloped(2-0 isn't a hiding is it?) but even we lose by a single goal and get totally outplayed then it's an issue, if we lose 4-0 playing good football then I am ok

I am sure the more experienced will tell you that youth football and the senior game have a huge gulf.

If this player is that good he is playing in the Eredivisie He will be noticed. Quality does not hide agent or no agent.

When Tega scattered the Championship there were over 10 premiership clubs interested in him ARGUMENT no deh.

I don't know how you can be playing in one of the lowest rated leagues in Europe below Azerbaijan and be called quality furthermore playing for a club that is 3rd from bottom. Finally you were benched did not play in your last game which you lost 4-1 but the coach left you out.

Playing in a club is not the issue it's the quality of the club and league. Your club form is justification for availability up, the better the club and league the greater the justification for the call up Finito.

Your concern is well understood sir. I know you might be thinking about his team and so called black water league he's playing in. If that is the case, shehu Abdullahi has shown that there's quality players in many weak leagues.

The proposition you make is the exception and not the rule.

However the fact remains overwhelmingly the best players will be found in the best leagues and best teams.

Shehu has done well in the SE but in reality we don't have a comparison to make to know how well. Until Aina plays as RB we really don't know how good he is in comparison.

I remember when Yobo played his first game at RB in the AFCON 2002 first game he relegated every contender and the rest is history. Prior to that time he was playing as a right winger for Marseille.

If Onomah was called, your assertion would definitely be the opposite.

Yes and it rightly should be so.

Onomah has been playing first team football for Tottenham competing for a place with top quality world class international midfielders. Not surprisingly his opportunities have been limited.

Add to that he was the Anchor man on which England succes as the U20 World cup was based on. We had unprecedented situation where all the goals in that final match were scored by Nigerian origin players. The U20 world cup is a far better test of quality than the U17 as players are really mostly adult full professional players.

He chose to go to Aston Villa and has once again become the anchor man in midfield. Showing his true quality.
