komekn: U20 football is not senior team football. At this point, Onomah is not a sure starter for an average championship team like villa. Onomah needs to make the international switch to be available for selection. So he is not an option now. 4 Likes |

komekn: Ola Aina has joined the national team but Shehu who plays in Cyprus has been easily one of Nigeria's best players. Have you scouted Nwakali in the last couple of seasons? He has been very impressive in the norwegien league. Who are the other options that are available right now ahead of Nwakali? Joel Obi played a game, one day before the list was released. It is not as if we are brimming with exceptional talent. Who else? 5 Likes |

forgiveness: Norwegian league is considerably lower than the Championship I mean much lower. I would place it on the league 2 and just but probably closer to Vanarama national league in reality. Surprisingly I was at a premiership academy and the U18 team of Mold came to play. Obviously they got thrashed in excess of 5 goals. I was talking to thier coaches and they explained the gulf of quality I'd massive buy it just helos remind them where they are. All they want to do is sell thier best players to premiership clubs. In addition outside of Rosenburg and Mold the rest clubs struggle. There is Portuguese player I am very familiar with. Francisco Junior signed by Everton from Benfica with huge potential. Played on loan at Port Vale and Wigan in League one. He made it clear to me the quality in Norway was in his opinion lower than league one. When he compared the levels of football when he was sent on loan to Stromsgodset. Unfortunately he has now ended up in Norway playing there after near 4 years on Evertons books on a very good weekly wage. I have another friend associat who is English a former premiership player who managed in the Norwegian league and very much shares the same sentiment. Poor quality in comparison to other leagues in Europe don't forget they are rated near number 30 in Europe. 4 Likes |

komekn: Shehu has simply been undroppable at right back. Aina will have to have perfect games to displace him. It is not a case of average performers replaced by an above average performer comes. Shehu has been arguably the best player in multiple games. 4 Likes |

komekn: Agree the Norwegien league quality is low. Ekong, our number 2 defender played there and did not do badly in the world cup qualifiers. Dele Alli joined the premiership from league 1, so did Lookman. 3 Likes |

Chrismario: I'm sorry if you are in lower league and you have quality it means you have an opportunity to dominate and rise above that standard. Giving yourself a higher rating and value. Is he the best player in that league ok let's not be too optimistic he should be in the top 5 to be considered good enough for the SE, particularly if has spent more than one season. It has taken Aina a few weeks to be declared the best RB in the championship. You could say the same for Tega Onomah and within weeks of Tega Abrahams playing for lowly Bristol city at the time he was top goal scorer in the championship. There is no magic if you are quality it's not by assumption but by the evidence of your performance. The lower the league the greater the opportunity to shine and stand out. 2 Likes |

komekn: I will. We have seen that Rohr likes versatile players. Now this guy is a guy who can do a job as the engine room of a team, as the DMF or as a LB, now I haven't watched Tega and he may deserve his spot but for Tega to come in, another midfielder has to leave but for Nwakali to come in nobody has to leave, we only have one leftback in the team currently and that makes his inclusion a no brainer. I have been clamouring for a LB who actually plays at LB and if Nwakali can do that job we are set for 7-8 years to come and he sure does have the quality 4 Likes |

Mujtahida: Exactly. I think people have made a habit of having a go at Forgiveness for no sane reason. Will you agree with me that if it was Forgiveness that said we will lose to Algeria they would attack him for that? I think this effect is from the older members of the thread, I really admire arguments between tbaba and the same forgiveness, between Komekn and anybody who wants to counter his points, theGoodjoe can go low sometimes but 95% of the time he maintains his cool and this is also why I appreciate guys like you and Soentaoroluwa(hope the spelling is right this time ). I think we should adopt these kinda behaviour 4 Likes |

Una no even shame, na person wey dey play for Norwegian league una dey defend say Rohr call up. I like the team selection but that Chidiebere Nwakali selection got me scratching my head since I saw that list this morning. So out of the hundreds of Nigerian Players in Europe... Forgiveness I don't think Rohr has being bribed, I just think someone asked him for a big favour and he obliged. Because honestly Chidiebere Nwakal'si inclusion doesn't pass the smell test but hey we might be pleasantly surprised; most likely though, I doubt he will play in any of the 2 games. 6 Likes |

ykalhaji: Who are your better options at DM that are currently fit? I am not sure of Nwakali's readiness for national team duty but the coach must have reviewed scouting reports to invite him. How many Nigerian players score the type of goals that Nwakali has scored in the last couple of seasons? 8 Likes |

komekn: Your first paragraph is obvious and I'm not doubting that. Onomah has done nothing too special in Aston villa just like as he was nobody in Tottenham. Some good players stays years in obscured league due to work permit issues or lack of good suitors. I'm not trying to say that he has been collecting MOTM but Onomah is no much better than him. If he was opportuned to be raiseed in England, I'm quite sure he do be in EPL or at most, championship. His invitation was unexpected truly but declaring with authority that Rohr don collect backhand is out of it. He has been giving good performances for a while. 9 Likes |

tbaba1234:I don't understand why some persons kept crying over chidi inclusion..... the dude deserve to be there no stories...at all. I have watched his clips and all I see is potentials... I remember troost ekong severally was invited for SE games even though he play in Scandinavian league.... mind you...he never disappoints. talent wise chidi has it....so I definetely know he will prove doubters wrong. do you know that guy...is one of the most hardworking young Nigeria player....where he is today is as a result of hardwork.. I remember some years back...when I saw him sign for Manchester city I laughed thinking he has no the talent to even make their feeders team let alone play for city... but today the dude refused to give up despite a poor start to life...in europe he keep working hard every season.... had it been the rest players from his under 17 set have same determination and put in same hardwork like he did... it could have been a different story all over... I am so proud of him....he knows hardwork brought him this far...and I am sure he will continue to work hard. let those who wanna cry.....cry me an ocean..I dont care... 6 Likes |

tbaba1234: Sir Tbaba1234, I have deep respect for you on this Thread, same goes to few Monikers as well but you ain't being objective on this Nwakali Issue. Do we need to bombard the Team with too many DMs.... Ogu, Agu, Onazi, Ndidi, Mikel etc?! Muazam should have made the Team instead of Nwakali cos he's a regular Starter for his Club, remember he's signed directly from the Nigeria League. Mickael2 has made a valid Point that justifies his Inclusion in the Team - that he's a versatile Player that can also play as a LB comfortably and I think we should take it like that, since Echiejile was left out due to Injury. 4 Likes |
