Idris said: “ On Saturday evening, Lukmon and about six of his friends, went to a birthday party at Obawole, Iju area. After the party, Lukmon used his car to drive many of his friends to their residences, including Promise. So he drove all his friends to their residence and still went back to pick a lady from her home, a lady who also called her husband to say she would spend the night at her friends place? This story makes no sense at all, even if the deceased was an Uber driver. RIP to the dead, but abeg they should stop trying to make this look like murder, they died of Carbon poisoning after whatever transpired in that vehicle. 2 Likes |

Naijacost22:My exact thoughts! Carbon Monoxide is a colourless and odourless silent quick killer. But of course in the African way, the investigations are already over even before it starts; 'magun' is already the culprit. 2 Likes |

Naijacost22: They were strangled. If it were to be carbon monoxide, they would have been foaming and their skin peeling already. There is more to the story. Someone might have done this and then naked them to cover up. Look @ the man, u will see that his mouth is open to show that he was strangled. 7 Likes |

Stopped reading when I got to the "frequenting" beer parlour. Obviously a woman without respect for her husband. And to the young man swearing that Lukman can't be guilty of adultery... he should better watch it. Lukman is human and secondly, why would Lukman be a "driver" to a married woman taking her to hotels and to meet friends. "You don't smell what you don't wanna eat" 6 Likes |

This is clearly à crime of passion. But, the late woman's husband has provided an inconclusive clue that will take the investigation far.A thorough forensic investigation should have been underway. If not,I give up on our justice system. The mastermind is within the reach of the law. |

The Promise woman wasn't married to anybody. She was just a woman everyone was passing around. But it doesn't rule out murder. Someone who wanted all the meat got jealous. |

It doesn't take a Sherlock Holmes to unravel this case! First of all, the husband of the deceased said that the person who should have been dead was Femi and not Lukmon It goes a long way to explain this: What if there was a scenario where Promise's husband sent hired killers with the instruction to terminate Femi's life bothering on the fact that he (Femi) was sleeping with his wife...remember he had earlier warned Femi to steer clear off his wife. So the scenario should be thus: *Promise husband is jealous and hires some assassins to terminate Femi... *The assassins probably trail her to the party and wait outside... *The party is over and an "unsuspecting" Lukmon comes to take Promise home in his car... *The assassins think that Lukmon is Femi... *They trail the car and stop them midway... *The contract is that they should terminate Femi neatly (No gunshot wounds, no external injury, no blood)... *But on seeing that the driver of the car was not Femi, they decided to still embed their "signature" (some assassins do that)... *Probably while exterminating Femi, Promise raises alarm so they decide to terminate her too as collateral damage... *Then they strip Lukmon's trousers off him so it will look like both of them were making out... Why did i arrive at the conclusion that death is probably out of strangulation?---take a look at the mouth of the deceased...his tongue was somewhat protruded out of his mouth midsection...that happens most of the time when someone is gasping for air during a "chokehold". If they were making out, promise would have been kind of nude too but she was fully clothed... As for the guy who said Carbon monoxide / Carbon dioxide (CO / CO2) Poisoning from the idling car...you are TOTALLY WRONG! While idling a car, the carbon monoxide escapes from the exhaust which is "outside" the car. If your assertions were true, then it means that almost everyday, thousands of Lagosians (and other drivers and passengers all over the country and the world) living where there is the presence of heavy traffic gridlock would be dying everyday in their cars. Suggestion: The husband of Promise should be arrested and tortured and the truth will certainly jump outta his mouth! 15 Likes 3 Shares |

I am short of words, i dont know what to believe. I know him to be a perfect gentleman. He allowed himself to be baited by a promiscuous wife, May his gentle soul rest in peace. The death could be as a result of murder or inhaling Carbon monoxide from the AC compartment as a result of leakage. IT IS A LESSON TO LEARN FROM. Stay away from a married woman cos they are sacred. |

I said it earlier that it was obvious that those 2 were murdered. You can tell from the picture taken from the scene. This is a good case to test the ability of our Nigeria police. |

forensic investigation would have been a better way to unravel this...finger prints on the bodies, cars etc coupled with autopsy.. but I don't think we are there yet... 3 Likes |
