Use your first class brain and think what you can do. Beside no company will employ you without application, go to website and search for vacancies from all companies home and abroad, attend interview and be employed no company will come and give you employment letter by sitting down at your home and boasting first class when your father is not great politician or chairman of a company. |

Some issues here: 1, She graduated in 2015. So the earliest time she completed her NYSC programme is 2016, if mobilized in 2015, or 2017, if mobilized in 2016. 2, What the above means is that she may have become eligible for labour market in 2016 or 2017 which means she may not have spent 1 year at home post-NYSC. 3, Not getting job within one year of completing NYSC is not a critical situation as presented here. Even some recruitment processes take one year. 4; She did not tell us whether she had been invited for job tests before and how she performed. Has any company invited you for test since you graduated? Did you pass? First Class doesn't mean being handed job automatically. 5, I also suspect her school may be a factor. Ajayi Crowther is a Tier 3 private university. Many good employers only reckon with Tier 1 private university graduates. Less than 10 of such schools.. Some of these private unis are not recognised 10 Likes 1 Share |

exclusivepp:am not sure she actually applied for a job in the school. I am an alumni of the school and I can say categorically that Ajayi Crowther University gives preference to there students who seeks employment in the school. The best graduating student in my set works in his department he even did his NYSC there. |

Did she apply for jobs at all? She has everything needed to be employed. Studied a quantitative course, so she should ace tests. Had a first class. She is female, so she would be slightly favored in recruitment processes. She is just 22. She has no age related issues to stop her. So my guess is she isn't applying enough. One or two applications doesn't cut it just because you are best graduating student from a B class private University. It could also be that she is targeting upstream petroleum companies. Not only are those companies very difficult to get into, they don't recruit from Twitter. 1 Like |

Jarus:You also failed to ask her if working at her alma mata was want she wanted initially, she just wanted that has a plan B, you don't go into teaching as a second option you have to have the zeal to impact knowledge. Secondly you don't know maybe she is in the category of those first class graduates that are only good with theories and her poor when it comes to praticals. Thirdly, it's rude ti refer to the school as been a third teir school there are some graduates of the sole called first tier schools who are not as sound as the graduates of the so called third teir schools. 1 Like |

All these first class graduates flying up and down should be job creators and not job seekers. Waitooo are you going to be employed by a job created by a third class graduate or by a job created by someone who even never went to school? Nigerian first class graduates eeh, I tire no bi small. Meanwhile you can go to www.opportunityfor africa.com and find what you can do. Thanks. 1 Like |

Jarus: God bless u suraj. the only analysis i got thats catch my eyes here. she may be a first class in ajayi which is a tier 3 university. the likes of Lasu and lautech and ekiti are rated tier 1 and 2 respectivelly. whats is her performance in all the interview she went for. is she the type of first class electrical engineer in private school that was ask to define electricity and all he can say is Nepa. 1 Like |

Please start with anything you can find for now. Apply in those little Primary and Secondary school around you. As for most of our academic institutions, the Principals (V.Cs) are not ready to help the young and brilliant ones so long you are not connected to them nor any of their allies, but I know one thing, God will always make a way where there seems to be no way. Remain blessed. 1 Like |

But she said she has done so, for your information, I can tell you categorically that, many academic institutions don't employ their best graduating students anymore, and it is pathetic. |

shankara7:Being a First Class does not really mean she has all the skill required for employment, but rather, it means she has the capacity to comprehend easily and also acquire the required skills if not more within a short period which will add value to the organization. Have you ever worked with a First-Class colleague before? If No, then don't jump to conclusions. |

she's speaking the truth. we close friends. we've known each other for a long time now and all what she posted is the truth and nothing more. she served in akure, at the federal university of technology 2015, batch b. she lost her dad few months to a convocation in November 2015 and since then, things has not been rosy. also shes actually 22 according to what she posted, thats her real age! so please, instead of chastising her, if you know you can be of help in any way. she will appreciate it. if you need any information on how to contact her. please, send me a pm. thank you |
