Awaziem, Ogu, Agbo & Nwakaeme are good players. In competitive games, you go with your first choice so they are likely to get their chance in the upcoming games. Awaziem is top quality and i believe he will prove that soon enough.

Nwakali invitation was a surprise to everyone but the coach might not be totally satisfied with what is available. Nwakali also scores a few goals from long distance which could be an asset to the team. Ekong was playing in Norway and was a regular part of our first 11.

IMO it has zero to do with being good enough but a lot to do with the mentality. There are too many things that don't have anything to do with football that the players have to cope with number one being their media. It is easier to go 1 in 10 as a striker in Barca than it is at QPR.

Sir, this is my first time of saying this. Others have said it several times and today I join my voice with theirs because I have read you for a good time to know your drift. You judge all things football against the benchmark of English football as in both EPL and championship. You talk alot about objectivity but to continuously screen everything football through the filter of English football is to my mind not objective. If we go by your estimation we will not have a team.

it's not unheard of for people to recommend players to the national team coach. sunday oliseh was recommended to westerhof in 1993 before our AFCON qualifier against ethiopia and as they say the rest is history but you are right that unfortunately in this part of the world people usually abuse the process to foist mediocre on the super eagles. with coach rohr i have not seen such shenanigans (even though i know you will not agree )

Komekn, I'm sorry to say this, you make the EPL as if it's the holy book for club football. I rate the epl but it's not the only league. You always refer to players in almost all tiers of English football - I want to assume that's your environ so you have to praise it to high heavens. Truth is, very few coaches rate Championship players for technicality. English leagues are good but should never be used as the holy book for accessing a players invitation to the EPL. Mikel Obi that we are praising today started from Lyn Oslo. Even Ighalo played in Norway. Due to the rough terrain in Nigerian players making it in European leagues, Norway is like a sprouting ground for them. I read an article where Attah Aneke was advising players to come to Norway and use it as a foundation to a successful European career. Nwakali even signed a contract extension with City. I doubt they'd want to offer an extension to a talentless player. I don't think it's fair to judge a player by the type of club they play in. Mbark Bousoffa that is the main pillar of Morocco plays in UAE. I think ability should be paramount rather than type of club. If Nwakali was born in UK he would have been loaned to a lower division club in England and would your opinion change about him?

For instance, Amokachi, JJay, Kanu, Kanu, Yakubu, and more recently Mikel, V.Moses, Iwobi, Ighalo and KC. The SE would essentially flop to complete obscurity without its EPL players.

Tell me a top 5 FIFA ranked national team in the world today that doesn't have at least 3 players out of the EPL in most cases it's about 5.

i'm satisfied with the squad chosen for the algeria and argentina games. only sticky point for me is ahmed musa's continued inclusion despite his inactivity. kayode should have been called up IMO. C.Nwakali's invitation? like komekn and forgiveness i find it somehow where i differ from them is that i don't think there is any conspiracy or egunje factor at work. i'm willing to give rohr the benefit of doubt that he has seen something in chidiebere that he feels could be an asset to the team
