This past weeks has been a roller coaster of emotions for me, from extreme weakness to complete lost of appetite to spitting, Vomiting and feeling fainting at interval to finally been admitted in the hospital, taking lots of drip , injections etc, My Urine changing from fanta yellow to red color (I wasn't spotting) due to dehydration. but in all I thank God for the gift of Life and my Lo is doing great. I pray this 2nd trimester smiles on me.

Hi Friend and NL family please Biko don't read and run plus I need as much opinion as possible to make a good judgement .
My sister in law has a trip booked to Nigeria in February, everything is going smooth and her parent who she hasn't seen in 5 years plus other important family members are expecting to see her and her child, only to find out she is pregnant!
While we were still debating, result at dating scan shows she's pregnant with twins.
As the only person in the family that's familiar with Nigeria, different people are calling me from both sides of family for information and advice if she should cancel the trip or not but me sef I'm a leaner for Naija living to be honest.
She will be 5 months PG in February and spending 3 weeks. Originally she was going to see her father, do some business and explore the city and beach life with her child like a proper tourist.
Is she alright to go or would you advise to cancel altogether thanks.

please keep the trip on hold.

Was awake till like 11:30pm last night, wanted to awaken this special month and be the first to wish a happy new month, but sleep wouldn't let me

Only to wake up this morning and my data network had disappeared
Today of all days Waited and waited, called their agents severally only to be told to be patient, sorry for the inconveniences
Till now, they seized my browsing network like nepa

Couldn't wait again, had to subscribe on my glo

Pros
Completely pain free labour and delivery. Was busy chewing on ice lolly while watching TV

Cons( My experience )
It slowed down my labour
I had body and joint pains for some time after delivery

Cons ( Other people's experience )
Headaches after delivery
Backache
I am really glad I took the epidural with my last delivery it just made childbirth seem so easy. My first two were without and I just didn't want to experience labour pain a 3rd time. If your hospital is able to do it properly then go for it.

Had epidural for cs, I guess it is, given in the spine, with a very long needle. Well, though wasn't so effective (painless, but they estimated it wont last through the whole process) on me (had it for 10min, just enough to see my kid, then I was knocked out)... was put on general anaesthesia once baby was out.

My side effect was Back ache. I was pre-warned. On and off back ache for about a year.

Amongst the long lecture I received was the possibility of losing functionality of your waist down for life, but very rarely... please this must be admistared by specialist only... on the whole of Abuja, i
learnt they are not up to 3.

Will I do it again... oh yes!!!

Thank God you did not lose them all... as for the bolded, don't stress yourself about it... remember you were carrying triplets! you can do some massage for the pains... your tommy might take some time...you can go the exercise and diet route if you can otherwise let it be.. that's your badge of achievement

Also decide on time, because if you are initially doing hebrew woman and decide you later on, you want to be egyptian woman... the anaesthetist may be busy in theatre at the time you decide and you will have to wait......1 minute will be like 40 days!

the cons of back pain" is debatable as to if it is the epidural itself or just bad posture new moms seem to have mostly from breastfeeding in the wrong position or multitasking while carrying baby... all these things alter our postures so all the bad press is not entirely justified.

there is a small risk of paralysis, however that is why it is usually carried out by a specialist and you have to keep really still when the needle is being inserted - also a good reason to have it done when the pain is still bearable so that you can still keep still when the contraction hits.

it might slow down labour but you will be constantly monitored and ensure this is not the case.

You may not feel the contractions and know when to push, but you should have a monitor that tracks you contractions and the nurse/ doctor will guide you on when you need to push.

Is it worth it.... HELLL yeah!

The past month was a very emotion draining month. From a serious accident(car was a write off) to ds being in the hospital to me battling with ms and weakness. But all in all we thank God for everything. Came out stronger.
EDD is 08/05/18. I've not started antenatal but should start soon.

Oh Mine!! Thank God for the gift of life(that is my Anthem), hope there wasn't any serious injury from the accident?
How is DS doing, am sure is he alright now.
MS is something else kia, don't worry soon it will be over, You should be in your 2nd trimester now, hopefully Ms will pack it load before d week runs out.
Sorry ma'am...It will end in praise in May 2018 by God's grace.
