Firstly, I talk about what I know abou and incidentally I am very heavily involved in and have indepth experiential knowledge of.

The EPL is the most physically demanding fastest and intensely competitive league in the World.

IT IS NOT THE BEST TECHNICALLY. I have never ever said that.

However, it is largely regarded as the best league in the World by many internationally recognised authoritative and indepenfent bodies. Are the very worst it's rated no. 2 or 3.

That being the case and not in dispute what's wring with using it as a benchmark for quality. Our best ever players predominantly played or seeked to play in the EPL. For instance, Amokachi, JJay, Kanu, Kanu, Yakubu, and more recently Mikel, V.Moses, Iwobi, Ighalo and KC. The SE would essentially flop to complete obscurity without its EPL players.

Tell me a top 5 FIFA ranked national team in the world today that doesn't have at least 3 players out of the EPL in most cases it's about 5.

Standards will not change because of Nigeria. If our players are not stopping off in La Liga, Bundesliga, French League 1, Seria A and other 10 leagues in Europe but choose to go the backwaterd of Europe in a league ranked near 30.

It's not racism or restricted work permit rules. It's simply means they are not good enough. Mikel was in Lynn prior to making a decision which way to go. Meanwhile his agent J. Shittu was playing Maradona with all the premiership clubs who wanted to sign him. Do you know how many millions of £££ not naira that Shittu made out of that deal after Man U. was realed in deceptively and then reprimanded by FIFA

Mikel was given World wide FIFA recognition work permit was never the issue he was exceptional talent at that time on the same level as Messi. So don't misrepresent the dynamics of the situation to present an argument that's not tenable.

Dude wake up the smell the hot pepper soup. In this game the club you play for matters. It is your unique selling point and branding.

With regards to City and other top EPL clubs buying 20 youth players for under £400k is just chicken change. They can buy you this year and drop you for nothing next season. Or they can hold on give you a couple of games in the youth team or pre-season tour. Now you have the club branding and sell you to some lower moogoi club for a few million. It's business they have made profit even when they had no intention whatsoever of ever playing you. This is the business of football. Consider the profit they made on KC and the peanuts they paid for him.

All that rhetoric his agent is using to garnish the product he knows the people who will buy that fairy tale, those on the outside. Also that's where his limited network reach hence the need to go to Norway.

If and If X If +IF Nwakali wad born in the UK, played local football if got scouted, if he passed a trial then if his performances warranted a youth scholarship, then if he wasn't dropped for a foreign player bought with big money or displaced by a better player in his club. And then if he wasn't injured and didn't face any racism or favouritism then he might just have made it IF he was born in England.

So if you like go sign with am that's where you go remain or progress to Turkey at best.

i'm satisfied with the squad chosen for the algeria and argentina games. only sticky point for me is ahmed musa's continued inclusion despite his inactivity. kayode should have been called up IMO. C.Nwakali's invitation? like komekn and forgiveness i find it somehow where i differ from them is that i don't think there is any conspiracy or egunje factor at work. i'm willing to give rohr the benefit of doubt that he has seen something in chidiebere that he feels could be an asset to the team

Firstly Rohr can not do everything he will have to rely on some people and recieve and accept reports from them.

If those members of the scouting team are from the NFF then we'll you know what's happening.

Then you ask what was the nature content and process management and delivery that led them to think he is good enough.

For most Francophone countries in Africa the first port of call is the French league. It's simple that's where the largest overwhelming number of thier players are.

Where is the largest pool of overwhelming number of Nigerian origin players outside of Nigeria

Add to that the level of available quality. Then what on earth are you scouting for players in Norway for.

There is no EPL academy without a considerable number of Nigerian players. From the EPL to league one there are way too many Nigerian players who are not on the radar of the English FA.

Some will succeed. We can either look at those who succeeded or those who failed. Two perspectives.

komekn:

That's if they are good enough.

Many far better players have stepped up to the EPL and flopped.

Remember Memphis Depay big money transfer then voted best young player in the world. Scoring for fun in the Eredivisie infact was top goal scorer.

Comes to the EPL with Man.U and after two seasons and 53 games only 7 goals. A guy who at 21 was scoring 30 plus in a season in the Eredivisie. Meanwhile he is still only 23 ( real age) so he has time on his side.

Mention the top ten leagues in the world and let me tell you that Denmark, Greece(I know one or two of your beloved play in Greece, Belgium, English Championship(where your favourite Thiago plays), Austria, Switzerland, Scotland are not in the ten top leagues.
As per your 2nd category, So a player playing in the best club in Lesotho is better than one playing in the bottom in Norway?

While I prefer that we have a team studded with players playing in top clubs in top leagues because it enhances the pedigree of our team, I always look forward to any player called upon to give a good account of himself in our national team irrespective of the league or club he plays for. I have my bias but I can't be biased against good performance. I argued against Martins precisely because I feel his time with our team is over but if he comes and performs I can't argue against that.

Let me use this popular quote of Alexander Pope who said in response to the debate regarding which form of Government is best once said 'of forms of government, let fools contend; what is best is best'

I will apply it to say 'of players to play in our national team and the leagues they are picked from, let talking heads contend; what is quality is quality. Kpom

the truth is until recent nigeria never really sort out players from england. we have always gotten players from various sources age grade teams, npfl, various european leagues etc it's just of recent we have had good head way mining talents from queensland. like i said before yes i find nwakali's call up questionable but i've seen so many nigerian players of old come from so called inferior leagues who gave good years of service to the national team to dismiss the young man based on where he currently plays his football

Firstly the premiership is totally unique amongst all football leagues in the world.

It doesn't reflect the quality if the national team because only few of thier English players are able to get into these teams. The top teams in the EPL are truly international with players from everywhere.

However, the English is addressing this problem I was at a premiership academy and the former assistance manager of Brazilian team Sao Paulo is in charge of the first tier youth team training. The emphasis is on skill and the difference is clear.

Some of those changes have seen the hitherto unprecedented England winning the two U17 and U20 world cups. That says things are changing can I also add there us now an over representation of African origin players as opposed to Oyibo.

MESSI OUT OF NIGERIA FRIENDLY
Argentina captain Lionel Messi will not play against the Super Eagles when both sides clash in an international friendly on November 14.

However, Messi will play the friendly against Russia on November 11 at the reopening of the Luzhnikí stadium in Moscow.

Argentina coaching crew, headed by Jorge Sampaoli, will allow the striker fly out of Moscow after the first friendly, to get enough time to rest before returning to club duties.

The rest of the Argentina squad will head to Krasnodar, where they will play against Nigeria on November 14.

This same scenario happened in the Albiceleste's last international friendlies against Brazil (June 9) and Singapore (June 13), when Messi went the distance against the Seleção but was omitted from the matchday squad against the Asians.

Meanwhile, Sampaoli has called up Emiliano Insúa to replace Lucas Biglia, who suffered from an inflammation in the patellar tendon of his left knee.

Pray tell me which Nigerian player plays in the EPL that is not in the National team- Iwobi, Musa, Iheanacho, Aina are already in our team. Who again is left out that you flog this issue so virulently? What do you want us to do again? Abeg mention any other Nigerian who plays in the EPL that is not in our team. Please don't mention Tega, Tammy, Onomah, Solanke and the rest. They are not Nigerians. Sounds harsh but that's the truth as far as their nationality for purposes of international football is concerned.

Again mention any Nigerian player that plays in France and Germany that is not in our team. Uzoho just kept goal twice for Deportivo, sharperly we have drafted him in. Ebuehi was pursued. He is now in the team. Wetin you want again? Mind you choice of players is also determined by where we have need. Meanwhile your Tammy is dancing one corner on our heads and we have a team to build. We can't wait.

I hope you know that if Zambia had qualified for the World Cup, all those Zanaco players will go to the World Cup. They will not disband them and say look, it's the World Cup, we must take players from the top ten leagues and if not then no team.

I agree that we need the best. But even by your standard we have picked our best from the EPL, even from the championship, from the Bundessliga and from France. We have courted foreign borns. Some took the invitation and for the first time we have 5 foreign borns where previously it used to be none or at most one(and if the trend continues it is possible that one day our first eleven will be fb's exclusively or predominantly) but some fb's are still looking at the Queens face before they choose. Meanwhile time is going and again only 23 players make the team.

So even if we take your word for it that he wasn't tested in any of those 3 games, mind you, how does that justify your assertions that he's not an Egus Material? Is it his fault that he wasn't tested??

Anyway, if he wasn't tested against Cameroun and Zambia, don't worry he would soon get tested. I am confident that he would be tested by the Argies, even without Messi, they still pack a lot of firepower on the attack.

O pari

isan:
Ezenwa wasn't really tested against Cameroon and Zambia and our defence was not under any serious preasureagainst Cameroon in uyo against Zambia we had clean sheet because the Zambia striker lack a killer instinct not because ezenwa make any point blank saves
