We condole with the government and people of the United States as well as those of Argentina and Belgium as regards the sickening terror attack that happened hours ago in NY. May the souls of the departed rest in peace. I also use this opportunity to pray for our country Nigeria that the wanton attacks here and there in various guise be restrained maximally. That Nigeria too should be a country that works like other climes. Brought to tears by the swiftness to action in stopping the carnage, identifying the victims and the suspects of the NY attack. God bless America, God bless Nigeria. 5 Likes |

[Since your husband has used his visa, there shouldn't be any issue concerning that. Just have a copy of his visa and entry/exit stamps. Be confident and relax. I'm guessing you've already submitted your ds160 and filled your husband as your sponsor, would have advice you to still fill whateverj ob you are doing instead of leaving it blank] Thank you for ur contribution however, you don't understand me. I'll just summarize it now. My husband got his visa last year, i didn't apply with him cos i was heavily preggy then and obviously won't be granted a visa. We decided wen i put to bed, we'll apply for mine and go for vacation. Unfortunately when i applied with our kids, we were refused cos d vo said my husband's visa is recent (he hasn't travelled with it). This was january. My husband proceeded to d US february, spent 12days and returned. Now our next interview is next week. I just wanna know our chances and if not filling my income on my ds form is a problem. My husband is our sponsor and he's going with us. [/quote] |

Nikkygold4life: The first and most important thing I want you to know is that "No VO cares about that letter". They won't ask you for it, or even worse think it exists. 1. I don't know much about passport renewals but misrepresentation (lying about previous visa application denial) can earn you an easy ban! 2. So far as you can come up with a good excuse as to why....even finance is reason enough for me. 3. The importance for an "Invitation Letter" is in your head alone. 4. see 3 above 5. If asked, don't lie! If not, you can sweep it under the carpet. 1 Like |

Nikkygold4life:Sister, this particular invitation letter is not important unless it is somewhat high profile. Go ahead and make your travel arrangements and be honest. Having a UK denial is not a problem. You guys just have to be truthful. 1 Like |

Greetings to the house. It has come and gone, 7.30 today at Abuja Application denied. Got to diplomatic drive at exactly 6.40am, paid for seat and someone to hold my phone(just can't afford not taking biz calls hence, went with my phone) and waited till few min to 8 when they came to call us. Trekking from that entrance through all the checks was like movt from Egypt to the promise land. Finally got before the VOs and the very 1st man was aprroved then followed by series of denials. Got to windor 9 and that lanky dude wasn't smiling couldn't even respond to my happy new month salutations.. ...mtcheww Vo: ur pp please Me; Hi, good morning and happy new month, passing him my pp Vo; no response Me; just lock up Vo; why do u intend going to California Me; going for blp blp blp convention Vo: what do you do Me; am a staff of G... Comp.. who deals on..... Vo: mention the types of music equipments Me: you ve the keyboards, drums, upright piano, keyboards Vo; how long ve u been on this Me: 9yrs Vo: Ever been out of Nig before Me: yes,,, all expense paid trip to dubai Vo: confirm from my pp, are u married Me: no, but i have a baby girl Vo; how old is ur daughter Me: 11months Vo: does she stay with u Me: nop, she is with her mother***(was supposed to use fiancee here) Vo; am sorry, i won't be approving ur visa and handed me a PINK paper. with the 214b stories that told me i can't appeal but i can reapply when i have a circumstances change. I stepped out to meet a young friend i made while at the waiting corner, and she told me she was denied(which i was expecting to hear cos she applied to a community college and to add salt to injury, an associate degree) she broke down and i started baby sitting for few min and encouraged her to change to a university and go for a degree instead as that will put her on higher pesdestra. Went and oicked my phone, flagged down next taxi and went for my numerous appointment for the day which was why i booked my interview for Abuja instead of lagos where i reside. 1 Like |

kessel: Sorry about the denial, good you are taking it lightly and not stressing over it. About your young friend, her intention to study at a community college does not matter. What matters is being very clear and detailed about the intent, and satistying financial requirements as a student. People come here for 2-8 months music production courses, video directing, etc. 1 Like |

constance234:It matters. VOs hardly give visas for community colleges. Go check the student visa thread. Some lenient VOs will even hint the applicant as per why not apply to a uni instead of a junior college. That’s not to say people with community college admissions don’t get visas. But it’s 5-10 percent of them. 1 Like |

Hello house. Please can someone going for a wedding in the US stay beyond what she stated in her form during interview. that is let's say stated 15 days in her DS160, can she decide to stay longer than that? say, 2-3months, and book her return flight for that long. If yes. Hope it will not cause any problem for her at the POE. |

Cookie104: Hello again, up here is my last transcript last December, which they denied us obviously. Now I want to apply again. All things being equal. How should I go about it. Personally I want to drop my little sister, cause I believe why we were denied was cause of ties (hope I am correct though) also there's no way I am going without my two boys. I can't go with one and leave one, there's no vacation, no joy for us if they are not together. So it's out of the options. Mind you we have not traveled to anywhere since then, though I went to Accra within the year, few days, work purposes, nothing more. I am in a serious relationship, though I don't think mentioning this is necessary since we ain't married or what do you think. Last time they gave a yellow paper. I will attach it. Please, your ideas and advice will be well appreciated, as I don't want to go and waste another money please. I am still pained about the last time.

i want to know how much money I need to have in my bank account before I can apply for visiting visa with my family of 5. recently,a family were granted visa .the husband is a contractor while the wife worked in osun state with half salary payment by osun state government. they had to take loan and borrow before they travelled. my surprise is that the husband was asked for his monthly income and numbers of staff.the info he gave was not verified and they were granted the visa. note they used agent for the processing and it is the first time for the family.the wife had tried several country alone with no result. thanks |

Cookie104: As a first timer, booking that long flight duration may affect her at POE except she is a senior. Staying longer than your proposed DS160 duration is not really a problem so long she didnt stay beyond 6mths and she didnt abuse the condition of her visa |
Re: USA Visit Visa Part 3 by coldsummer: 2:22pm On Nov 02, 2017 |
Cookie104: 1. You just said you filled something different on your application and answered another one in your interview. 2. No travel history for you or your kids and your sister. 3. You are going to see your COUSIN but you don't know what your supposed cousin does for work. 4. How come you are taking your sister with you? 5. You are not married and there is nothing holding you back apart from your job - which you can easily run from. I think you should do a trip to sa or dubai with your family. sorry about this 1 Like |
