Actually I like his criteria. so no more clamoring for Ajagun etc..
Go by your own standard mr. forgiveness
Mujtahida:

He didn't pass the two test namely to play in the top ten leagues in the world and top ten team in the best league or outside. Belgium is ranked number 12 by the bleacherreport.com (fails test one) http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2691880-ranking-the-most-entertaining-leagues-in-world-football

Ajagun plays for KV Kortrijik ranked number 14 out of 16 teams in the Belgian Jupiler.(fails test two) See attached screenshot of teams in the Belgian top flight

So you see! Even by your own test, your own criteria, your own standard, Ajagun and I am sure so many other players you clamour for fail.

While I like your test I know it is not the ultimate criteria.

Tyronne Ebuehi: I Want To Make Nigeria World Cup Roster Even If I Sit On Bench

Tyronne Ebuehi has revealed that he wants to earn a spot on Nigeria's 23-man World cup roster, though the ADO Den Haag defender has admitted that his chances of making the starting eleven are slim.
Born in the Netherlands to a Nigerian father and Dutch mom, the right-back will become cap-tied to Nigeria if he clocks up some minutes in a World Cup qualifier against Algeria next Friday.
''And now I have been called for two games in Nigeria's national team this month. On November 10th for the World Cup qualifiers against Algeria. And on November 14 for a friendly game against Argentina,'' Ebuehi said to haagmedia.nl.
''I would love to come to Russia. Even if I did not play during the World Cup and only experienced the tournament from the bench or the stands, it's already beautiful.''
Whilst Ebeuehi has been included in Nigeria's squad list for competitive matches against South Africa and Cameroon, he earned his solitary cap for the national team in a non-competitive game against Togo five months ago.
The 21-year-old is in talks with ADO Den Haag over the extension of his contract, which runs out at the end of the 2017-18 season.

probably the Reason for the random news all over the English press reporting....Tammy ditch Nigeria for England...

Southgate To Tammy Abraham – Forget Nigeria, Assures Him Of England Chance

Coach of the senior national team of England Gareth Southgate has successfully convinced Tammy Abraham to banish the idea of representing Nigeria..
The online edition of British media outfit Times monitored by Owngoalnigeria.com Michael James has it that the coach had a meeting with 20 year old shortly after watching him in action for Swansea City in their 1-2 loss to Arsenal at the Emirates.
According to Times, Southgate assured the 20 year old that he could gatecrash his World Cup squad for England, even if he doesn’t make the next squad of England which will be released on Thursday.
Although there are other strikers ahead of Abraham in the pecking order of forwards available to coach Southgate, he however assured Abraham that one or two striking slots are up for grabs.
Daniel Sturridge and Danny Welbeck’s poor injury record as well as Jermain Defoe who is close to 36 years old could play in his favour when Southgate releases his squad for the World Cup.

The assurances made the forward who 13 caps for England at Under-21 level and four Premier League goals from nine starts to shelve plans of switching allegiance to Nigeria despite holding talks with the President of the Nigeria Football Federation ( NFF) Amaju Pinnick.

They even drew with players from the "football holy book" league. And at that point they rested some of their key players having already qualified with a game to spare. And England couldn't still beat Costa Rica. Sir Like in, I understand your adulation of the English football, but not everyone can play there...

tbaba1234:

How many players from Costa Rica were playing in a top league in the 2014 World cup??

Yet, they went to quarters and were only knocked out by penalties.
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2023, 2025 And 2026 World Cup by Mickael2(m): 7:29pm On Nov 01, 2017
Ok please show us the first eleven. Haba these guys are just bench warmers, the main guys are the ones that came from top teams, they played. Mainz was in the Europa league in 2013/2014, Navas was one of the best GK's in the league that year. Olympiakos made it out of their group that year.

tbaba1234:

Oga, these are not top clubs.. How many made it to the group stages? How many qualified from the group phase? Even Levante and Mainz are not big clubs, they are just average clubs in top leagues

Goalkeepers: Keylor Navas (Levante), Patrick Pemberton (Alajuelense) Daniel Cambronero (Herediano).

Defenders: Johnny Acosta (Alajuelense), Giancarlo Gonzalez (Columbus Crew), Michael Umana (Saprissa), Oscar Duarte (Bruges), Waylon Francis (Columbus Crew), Heiner Mora (Saprissa), Junior Diaz (Mainz 05), Christian Gamboa (Rosenborg), Roy Miller (New York Red Bulls).

Midfielders: Celso Borges (AIK), Christian Bolanos (Copenhagen), Esteban Granados (Herediano), Michael Barrantes (Aalesund), Yeltsin Tejeda (Saprissa), Diego Calvo (Valerenga), Jose Miguel Cubero (Herediano).

Forwards: Bryan Ruiz (PSV Eindhoven, on loan from Fulham), Joel Campbell (Olympiakos, on loan from Arsenal), Randall Brenes (Cartagines), Marco Urena (FC Kuban Krasnodar).

This is the team. Have you ever heard of Cartagines or Herediano? Imagine Nigeria inviting a player from Valarenga or AIK?

The above team is not one that should be in the quarter finals but they did it.

Mainz DID NOT even play Europa league in 2013-2014. Have you even seen the type of teams in the Europa league?

This is the team that beat Italy

Keylor Navas (Levante)
Giancarlo Gonzalez (Columbus Crew)
Michael Umana (Saprissa)
Celso Borges (AIK)
Oscar Duarte (Bruges)
Christian Bolanos (Copenhagen)
Bryan Ruiz (PSV Eindhoven)

Yeltsin Tejeda (Saprissa)
Junior Diaz (Mainz 05)
Christian Gamboa (Rosenborg)

Subs: Randall Brenes (Cartagines), Marco Urena (FC Kuban Krasnodar), Jose Miguel Cubero (Herediano).

This team made up of players from Cartagines, Saprissa, AIK etc beat the great Italy.. Imagine Nigeria inviting a player fro Saprissa..

I knew you were going to pick on that point even before I read this and you have confirmed my thoughts. I have since edited it to reflect your two test. No copy out. We are not here to win arguments, so no cheap tricks. So here it is again. Answer it.
I have quoted your test word for word.

He didn't pass the two test namely 1. playing in the top 10 best leagues in the world
2. playing for the best clubs either in the top 10 or outside.

As per test number 1 - Belgium is ranked number 12 by the bleacherreport.com (fails test one) http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2691880-ranking-the-most-entertaining-leagues-in-world-football

As per test number 2 - Ajagun plays for KV Kortrijik ranked number 14 out of 16 teams in the Belgian Jupiler.(fails test two) See attached screenshot of teams in the Belgian top flight

So you see! Even by your own test, your own criteria, your own standard, Ajagun and I am sure so many other players you clamour for fail.

While I like your test I know it is not the ultimate criteria.

First of all, I stated earlier that two things are involved in scouting players which I listed as

1. From the top ten best clubs in the world. I latter corrected it to Europe because I am well informed about the best clubs in the world. It was an error on my part.

2. Even if you are not in the top ten leagues in the world, you must at least play for one of the best clubs in other leagues.

As you can see, my stance remains though with more emphases. grin

If you don't fall into these two categories then I am sorry.

Going by these, I think Chidiebere Nwakali falls very short of these requirements.

Now, looking at the headline of your source, it didn't reflect the best leagues in the world neither is it in consonant with the top ten best clubs in Europe. grin

It is abstractly off the tangent which points to ten most entertaining clubs in the world.

In a nutshell, Belgium is currently in the top ten best clubs in the world.

I am not talking of Chidiebere because it is obvious that Norway is not top league. I wrote that post to challenge your assertion that Ajagun passed your test meanwhile he didn't pass any. Belgium is not in the top ten best league in the world(test 1) and Ajagun's club KV Kortrijik is number 14 out of 16 teams in the Belgian Jupiler(failed test two)
So why do you keep calling for Ajagun and Azeez when you oppose chidiebere with so much vehemence?

That link was dropped here by komekn. And entertainment is just one out of several factors used. If CAF compiles a list of best countries in the world Nigeria will be in the first five but if a wider scope is considered we will not be top five. Indeed we are 41 in the world. So Belgium can be top ten within UEFA but it's not top ten in the world best leagues.

Modified: I see that you have corrected top best in the world to top ten in Europe. In that case Ajagun passes limb two. But I will repeat what I have said before. Your test is good. And 90 percent pass your test. Always remember that it's 23 players that makes the team.
