Each time I try to load the folders; my document, music or pictures, my mini laptop takes like a minute to load it, I don't know the cause. I tried restoring the system but It didn't restore. it keep on saying I should create a restore point, which I did but all to no success. Thanks.

It takes a minute to load, what's the remaining space in your hard drive? How many files do you have in the folder?
This have nothing to do with restoring.

it is partitioned, free spaces are 50gig and 132 gig. and the total ram is 4g, hard disk 500gig, 2.40 double processor

Your hard drive is failing. Back up your important files before the drives fails to the extent you can't retrieve them. Then replace your hard drive

what is the brand and model of your laptop?

When you switch it on,immediately start pressing the Caps lock button. Observe if the caps lock indicator light is responding as you are pressing it.

The best solution is for you to get another motherboard and if you are taking this option, an Intel motherboard is your best bet.

But there is a temporal solution which involves treating the Motherboard but the issue will come back again.

pls my Acer travelmate 6300 do brings a message when in use,notifying me that my computer have to shut down and or restart after counting to 100%. what may be the cause?
it also saying VLC has crashed when I want to play video. why?
and it do shut down unexpectedly despite that the battery is still 90%,and immediately I on it back, it still on. pls is the battery weak or what

There are many issues that can make your system to start shutting down intermittently.
But most times , overheating of the motherboard as result of the fan not properly working or not working at all is responsible. It may also be due to a bad heat sink.
Apart from the cooling system of the laptop, another thing that make your crash is a bad hard drive.
Your laptop still need to go through troubleshooting before one can pinpoint the specific issue. See a technician.

the technician fixing it for you will tell you the cost as the cost of fixing /replacing a motherboard varies with every technician as well with location.
