The Nigerian senate has issued another warning to police IG over his failure to appear before probe committee. The senate also issued an ultimatum to the police boss to appear before its committee unfailingly on Tuesday, November 7. The senate made this known through its proceedings which were released on Twitter. Senator Francis Alimekhena cited order 43 & says the IG of @PoliceNG failed to appear before the Ad-hoc committee yesterday. He also said that the committee received a letter on his behalf asking that the committee postpone proceedings of the investigation. Senator Alimekhena adds that the IG of police can not stop the committee from performing their constitutional duties and have therefore given the IG of @PoliceNG an ultimatum to appear before the committee on Tuesday, November 17, 2017 unfailingly. Meanwhile, Bukola Saraki asks Senator Francis Alimekhena to fill the senate in on the matter as it proceeds and also says that he expects that the IG of police to know the law by virtue of his office and adhere to it by appearing before the committee. Buhari's henchmen are just grossly corrupt as himself. Birds of same plumage flock together. And funny enough they tend to employ evasive tactics to avoid justice when implicated.Sen.Misau presented damaging allegations against this man.Let him defend himself. 2 Likes 1 Share |
