Is Note 4X with 16gb ROM and 3Gb RAM as good as the one with 32GB ROM/3Gb RAM?

Does the ROM size affect performance in any way?

I''ve got the RN4 global presently...just wanna know if ROM sizes affect performance

Grandmufti, gptech, Noobody, iliyande, protein0
. No difference at all, provided you don't choke up the available rom. Ensuring the available rom rom is from 1 gig and above leaves with a smooth device generally.

You don't need to do anything to get it, it's being pushed out randomly, just be patient, even if you transport the phone to China, you won't get it apart from the set time grin.

Will miui 9 work on Redmi 3. It's still on lollipop tho
Yes, miui 9 will be available later in the year for Redmi 3/3s, even the Redmi 2 is not left out, no cause for alarm. Hope you are not expecting an Android upgrade for the device, it's a budget device, even the Redmi note 4 mtk might never get that.

Why did mi release nightly for so many users. From what i read. Nightly is another term for developer rom.
This is not developer rom, it's pushed out to random users.

Isn't the miui 9 an Android upgrade? I guess the firmware is based on Nougat

Nope, it's not an Android upgrade, for Xiaomi, miui update is the major upgrades not Android updates. Don't be surprised to see some devices with Android 6, running miui 9 with some Android 7 and even 8 features.

The only difference is the 16/32gb rom

Performance wise.... You may be unable to upgrade without SD inside to complement the size of the rom.

It's an Android upgrade. Every miui version is based on an Android version. Miui 9 that's currently being pushed should be based Nougat.

But Xiaomi is a confusionist because a certain miui version based on another OS will be displaying an entirely different OS version on the users phone.

No need for the stress, it's not an Android upgrade, for example, people here already upgraded to Android 7 but still on miui 8, and without the features of Android 7. The likes of Redmi note 2, note 3 mtk, and co will get miui 9 but not Android 7, it won't be surprising too if split screen and quick switch won't be supported for the miui 9 roms for these phones.
