CapitalCee: City? Mancini had 1 FA Cup. Pellegrini had 2 League Cups. To add to their 2 titles in 7 years of tier 1 money investments. |

elrony: Dont mind them, a club with 2 league titles in half a century and no continental title is not a big Club. Just because Ifeanyi Uba pushed his oil money into Ifeanyi Uba FC of Nnewi and Ikechukwu Ezenwa the super Eagles GK is there doesnt make it on par with AlAhly, Esperance and Enyimba. |
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Champions Of Europe 2021 by CapitalCee(m): 1:48pm On Nov 03, 2017 |
Eruditor: The last 3 league cup winners. 2015 Chelsea. 2016. Man city. 2017. Man United 1 league cup in 3 is correct. |
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Champions Of Europe 2021 by Eruditor: 1:53pm On Nov 03, 2017 |
CapitalCee: You are adjusting the timeline dishonestly that is my point. If any player leaves PSG today to go to Porto it will be seen as a relegation. The reason being PSG are a financially tier 1 football club at the moment. Same for City. Rumors filtered earlier in the season that Messi's clause could be triggered by City and Barca did not treat it with levity. This could not have happened 50 years ago. It is beyond winning continental titles per se because Aston Villa has won more than Chelsea FC yet John Terry moving there was seen as a decline. Not everything should be argued to a halt because Dayo is involved. That is what is happening now. 3 Likes |

Eruditor: Porto and City Crashed out of the champions league the same stage last season. And City have not won the league or any trophy of note in the last 3 years so is porto. Celtic have won their league last year. and just like city have not won UCL of recent |

Eruditor:recent form. Even if you take it to 10 years or 7 years to exactly capture the best possible City trophy haul period, they still did not best Porto or Celtic. |
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Champions Of Europe 2021 by Eruditor: 2:05pm On Nov 03, 2017 |
CapitalCee: So Liverpool is worse off than Porto and Celtics based on recent form? So Brendan Rodgers actually got a better job than the one he was sacked from? So Leicester City is a bigger club than United? Recent form agrees with the analogies. 1 Like |
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Champions Of Europe 2021 by CapitalCee(m): 2:15pm On Nov 03, 2017 |
Eruditor: Liverpool has massive massive pedigree to show, just like Ac milan and inter. Unlike city. So Brendan Rodgers got a lower job. Man United have won the league at least in the last 5 years and most importantly have won the UCL which Leicester have not, while still amassing 3 major trophies in the last 18 months liecester did not. That most recent trophy haul elevated then above Liverpool as the most successful club in Britain. Massive club. |

Eruditor:Don't leave other facts to peddle your lie because you are not stating while he chosed city instead. I know you to be a Fraudiola fanboy so don't bring that "ingenious" propaganda here Madrid wanted him for Castilla or better still a loan move out. |
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Champions Of Europe 2021 by Eruditor: 2:26pm On Nov 03, 2017 |
CapitalCee: I hope you can see how you shifted timeline to 5 years to accommodate United and went back to pedigree to rescue Liverpool from your own argument o. 3 major trophies? Any of them bigger than the EPL in the same 3 year time span you were just pointing at me o? Leicester won the EPL once in the last 2 seasons. 4 Likes |

CapC, I understand the logic of Tier 1 & 2 but why was PSG the 4th bookmakers favorite to win last yr & this yr UCL since they are according to u a Tier 2? |
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Champions Of Europe 2021 by hinohsend: 2:29pm On Nov 03, 2017 |
CapitalCee: Is Aston Villa a Tier 1 club? |
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Champions Of Europe 2021 by CapitalCee(m): 2:32pm On Nov 03, 2017 |
Eruditor: But they are major trophies. City did not even have those "trophies not bigger" than EPL. United won 3 major trophies in one and half year. City has just 1 in 3 years. Liecester has 1 major trophy in 2 years, United has 3. Thats the point. United are a massive club and are still winning till this moment. City are not. |

Seething Antonio Conte lays down law to Chelsea players in brutal dressing down after Roma defeat share Antonio Conte did not hold back after seeing his team fall to pieces at Roma Matt Law 2 NOVEMBER 2017 • 10:00 PM Antonio Conte gave his Chelsea players the full hairdryer treatment during an angry inquest into their second-half surrender in Rome and warned it can never happen again. Ahead of Sunday’s visit of Manchester United, head coach Conte made it clear that any players who do not follow his orders will be left out and he made examples of some of the worst offenders. Barely anybody escaped the dressing down and even Kenedy, who was an unused substitute during the 3-0 Champions League defeat to Roma, received a lecture after being caught yawning during the meeting at Chelsea’s Cobham training ground. As revealed in Telegraph Sport a fortnight ago, Conte has become concerned by the behaviour of some his players in recent weeks. David Luiz was ticked off for his reaction to being substituted in the home draw against Roma after which Conte told his players they must stick together. Charly Musonda was also slapped over the wrists for complaining about a lack of first-team opportunities on Instagram. But, with his pride dented after being beaten 3-0 on his first return to his native Italy as a manager since leaving his post with the national team, Conte’s patience snapped as he attempts to get his players ready for the visit of United and former Blues manager Jose Mourinho. Conte accused them of failing to take responsibility on the pitch during the second half in Rome, having substituted captain Gary Cahill in the 56th minute. Kenedy was told off for yawning CREDIT: PA He was particularly dismayed by the standard of defending, which has since been mocked on social media. Having switched Cahill to the right side of the back three, Conte was made to look like he had blundered in front of the Roma fans, who took great joy in getting one over the former Juventus player and manager. Despite the fact many people have predicted it is Conte’s future on the line, the Italian made it clear to his players that he is not fearful of the sack by promising to drop anybody who does not show an immediate improvement. Conte has already proved that he is not afraid to take on his stars after reminding Diego Costa he was no longer part of his plans in a text message during the summer. Having defended his players following defeats this season, Conte publically accused them of lacking motivation and hunger against Roma – two things that were the trademark of last season’s Premier League title success. Chelsea blamed “palpable discord between manager and players” for the decision to dismiss Mourinho in 2015, but, crucially, Conte retains the board’s backing. They are sympathetic of the fact that Conte’s squad has been hit by injuries and suspensions, and there is also a level of acceptance that the summer transfer window could have gone better. Injuries to N’Golo Kante and Danny Drinkwater have meant that Tiemoue Bakayoko has had to play with pain in his knee, while Cesc Fabregas has shown signs of fatigue after working himself into the ground. Rather than creating the start of a wedge between himself and the squad with Thursday’s inquest, many of the senior players are believed to accept they were deserving of a dressing down. There is also a belief among the squad that greater leadership must be displayed on the pitch by the players, rather than just relying on Conte to find solutions for them. But Kenedy’s blunder represents a setback for the Brazilian after he had worked hard to get back in favour, following an aborted loan spell at Watford last season and being sent home from Chelsea’s pre-season tour of China and Singapore. The 21-year-old appeared to have no long-term future at Stamford Bridge after he and the club were forced to make grovelling apologies for a series of inappropriate social media posts. ctuagent007: Belgium is not a tier 1 footballing nation, but they are among bookmakers favourites to win the world cup. You cant. Even Belgium is not more of a bigger footballing nation than Nigeria. A lot of situations warrant bookmakers prediction which doesn't ussually happen. PSG might be the bookies favourites but are not at par with Madird, Bayern, Barca, United, Milan and arguably Chelsea. 1 Like |

hinohsend: No. That was why i did not bother mentioning then, together with Nothingham forest, they are no longer competitive in the highest level. Liverpool United Chelsea Milan Bayern are still competitive even till date. For City and PSg case, they do not have enough league titles and UCL to elevate them even based on their recent performances despite the money push in there |

CapitalCee: Therefore according to u, Tier 1 like Utd, Shekpe & Liverpool should have been picked ahead of PSG since they are former champs of the ucl. So according to ur analogy, England wey no sabi ball na Tier 1 as them don win the WC before unlike Belgium wet be Tier 2 or Tier 3. U still haven't answered by Tier 2s are rated highly than some Tier 1 to win the ucl or the WC? |
