Nasa28: In analysis there is what is called "Application of Judgement". This is where you try to use equal scale to measure things that are of different dimensions. In Jesus days, the means of transportation was Foot, Donkey, and boat. Did Jesus not use all of these in His Days? Donkey was one of the most expensive back then. Jesus was to travel from Bethel to Jericho-all within Jerusalem. He had trek longer distance before but He chose that "luxury". The OP has done a good work of analysis. He mentioned very good factors to use to measure this expenditure/luxury. The size of the church, the spread of the church, the organisational structure. It will cost more to use "public jets" than to use private jets in these circumstances. I think as one said here The children of Lucifer should be more worried about activities in the kingdom of Lucifer and leave the children of God to be worried about the kingdom of God. 1 Like |

It's just so shameful to see Christians argue about tithe and private jet. Paying tithe is a means of worshiping God and acknowledging the fact that He is the source of the blessings. Tithe can be compared to the tax we pay to the government just that we don't have agencies mandating it. The funny thing is that Freeze and his followers don't ever question what the government with our tax, the massive embezzlement of tax payers money, the o e which affects us all directly. One that has impoverished the people but they are all about pastors that have helped a great deal to reduce the level of evil through life changing messages. God help you all o. |

Kunlenoni: ""Imagine someone tells you that you should not pay tithe and offering, yet expect blessing"" According to the Bible, Tithe (10%) is to be given to widows, orphans, poor people, levites, and foreigners who have no land. Yet ur pastor have been hiding it from u , Everyday they will be reading Malachi 3 vs 10 to u, Are u that daft? Don't u own a Bible? Aren't u educated? Why aren't u reading ur Bible? If u have been studying ur Bible, u would have known that the whole book of Malachi is a WARNING & Instruction from God to pastors n priests. And besides stop talking Balderdash about getting blessings from God because u paid tithe,Agnostics, Deists, Hindus, Atheists who have never gone to church or ever paid their tithes are still the richest people in the world, far richer than u who pays tithe. Pls grow up, this is a public space. 2 Likes |

PrecisionFx:I do not support the belief that churches should not own private jets, but for the sake of your statement, I'll clarify. There's a huge difference between air and land travel, and one notable one is cost. The cost of air travel makes it far different from land travel, secondly mobility, a flight needs more attention to fly whereas any Tom, dick and Harry can just buy a car and start driving, lastly a car can be drives at all times no matter the road but a jet is regulated by bodies because too many circumstances sorrounds its safe movement, weather, clash, mechanism, etc. They are too incomparable things, a private jet was never a necessity meant for everyone. |

hardeycute:Thank you HardeyCute First I must commend your civility in raising your Objection. Well during the first years when Living Faith(for instance) bought her private jets. It was a single member who took up the cost of parking them before the church then decided to build her own hangars. I do not know which would actually benefit the church more between owning a Jet and actually flying commercial. But in the case where 8-10 people are to go to a particular place wouldn't it pay the church to use a private Jet rather than a commercial plane where they would actually end up paying millions also for commercial planes. |

PrecisionFx: You quote things half half to suit yourself. The quotation on tithe been paid to everyone but pastor was not a regular tithe, it was a special tithe of the third year. Study that up to learn better. As for the whole of Malachi been addressed to only the Priests; again you are doing half half quotation. The earlier parts of the quote was concentrated on the priests but the later part was to the people and it touched on many subjects. Do a complete study next time sir. Statsocial: The differences in this scenario are: 1. One works hard, saves money and buys a private car VS. Someone who makes false promises of heaven (which existence he cannot prove), extorts money from followers and use the money to buy private jet. That is, individual money vs. public money. 2. Private jet is a luxury and not a necessity in preaching the gospel. The only reason they use it the way they do is just to justify the purchase. Random vacation to sleep in five-star hotels at the expense of gullible followers is not Christianity. All the globe-trotting just to preach for 1 hour? 3. The cost of maintaining the private jet is a colossal waste considering the fact that some donors are people who can barely afford three square meal. There is something inherently wrong when father, mother and children are the only anointed leaders of each sect. It breeds fraud by collusion. 4. Why has Christianity all of a sudden made money its foundation? No more talk of salvation, faith, love. Rather it is all about prosperity through miracles. Jesus performed miracles to heal not to make people rich. In all his encounters, Jesus seemed to detest rich folks and their insatiable appetite for material wealth for he said in Mark 10:25, "It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God." How vivid can that message be? NOTE: Pastors can make all the money they want. But it is fraud to do that under the guise of reserving a space in heaven for gullible followers who have been rendered helpless by the bad economic policies of the government. / 5 Likes 3 Shares |

I read your write up twice and I must confess I struggled to see any sense in it. Of all the points you raised your attempts at justifying the stupid excesses of your pastors and god of men is laughable. You even said there is no difference between a car owner and a private jet owner. The pope still fly around using commercial plane and he's the head of the biggest church in the world. What makes your pastors better ? Perhaps their arrogance. You also asked why critics didn't sell their cars and give the money to the poor. Brain farts is what you have. There is a planet difference between a man/woman who worked hard, bought a car and a pastor who cajole and threaten members with poverty to take 10% of their earnings in the name of tithe. Honestly I shouldn't waste time with this stupid post 1 Like |

I accept that we Christians are not under obligation to pay tithes. But I also agree that there is blessing in giving. Tithing for me is a good system or windom for me to sow seeds for my future. Be it to u according to your faith. There is a blessing for giving, whatever name you call it; there is no blessing for not giving whatever excuse you may have for it. |

Someone just asked a simple question but we have not been able to answer. What is the difference between private car and private jet. 1. A car travels on land while a jet travels in the air 2. A Jet is faster than a car I believe these are the two main main reasons why the church buys a jet. SPEED and ACCESSIBILITY So, is it a crime for a church to try and do their job faster and access places they are not able to access easily using other means. Obviously, we know private means private. So, both private CAR owners (like some of the pastor's critics ) and private JET Owners are on the same pedestal in this respect. You want privacy and you want to save time that's why you buy a private means of transportation. So, on that one every private "whatever" user is "guilty" according to critics for trying to be "private". Materialism and money mentality is the bane of this generation. It's unfortunate that some so called believers have joined the bandwagon of people who criticise the church blindly. I heard Dammy Krane will soon buy a private jet. When, he does I'll see how many of these critics will come out to say, his mother, father, manager, cousin, sibling are riding cars but he's riding private jet. Are they (parents) not the one that gave birth to him, why should he ride private jet when they are still riding Toyota Camry. Common people! Do we think if Oyedepo or Adeboye dies today, their children will inherit the private jet? Most probably, the next GO who might not necessarily be their children or relative will inherit the jets by virtue of their assumed position. I'm not trying to convince anyone (). Please, let's fix our own lives first with God. A o gbodo j'oye eni ti o nso ori olori ti awodi gbe tie lo? |

Mathew 26:7-13 A woman came to him with an alabaster jar of very expensive perfume, which she poured on his head as he was reclining at the table. 8 When the disciples saw this, they were indignant. “Why this waste?” they asked. 9 “This perfume could have been sold at a high price and the money given to the poor.” 10 Aware of this, Jesus said to them, “Why are you bothering this woman? She has done a beautiful thing to me. 11 The poor you will always have with you,[a] but you will not always have me. 12 When she poured this perfume on my body, she did it to prepare me for burial. 13 Truly I tell you, wherever this gospel is preached throughout the world, what she has done will also be told, in memory of her.” The heart of a man is desperately wicked. Why are you so wicked to think a man of God that preaches the gospel of Jesus Christ that I know should be poor. You can't preach that gospel, lay your life for your sheep, fast, pray effectively for years and be poor. Even if you choose to be poor wealth will follow you. The prophet Isaiah prophesy this in Isaiah 2:2 In the last days, the mountain of the LORD's house will be the highest of all--the most important place on earth. It will be raised above the other hills, and people from all over the world will stream there to worship. Some of you don't have a clue into what the church will be in this last days. See let me tell you, men of God will be very rich, church will be very rich. Presidents of nations will run to church, people will seek the church. Wealth will move massively into the church. Every good andd God ordained denomination will experience this no matter where the church may be located. For some of you who think men of God live on tithe and offering. Ministry is a calling, if you are called and deliver the mandate God gave to you, you can't go hungry. I once lived with a man of God that has never collected salary from his church. But this man of God devoted all his life praying and fasting for the sheep and for the advancement of the kingdom for over 2 decades even till now. Now his converts and the people his prayer has worked for all round the world can not do without blessing him per day even if he says no. Once you are called and the oil of God is on your head, queen of shebba will bring gift even when you never wanted it. Wealth, money, gift will follow you. So first forget about tithe and offering if you really want to attack the wealth of a man of God. You should fight the oil on their head that makes their prayer to be answered for years and still counting. Check this bible verses Deuteronomy 8:18 - But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for [it is] he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as [it is] this day. Jeremiah 29:11 - For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Malachi 3:10 - Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that [there shall] not [be room] enough [to receive it]. 3 John 1:2 - Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. Psalms 128:2 - For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy [shalt] thou [be], and [it shall be] well with thee. 2 Corinthians 9:8 - And God [is] able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all [things], may abound to every good work: Psalms 1:3 - And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. 2 Corinthians 8:9 - For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich. Proverbs 28:25 - He that is of a proud heart stirreth up strife: but he that putteth his trust in the LORD shall be made fat. Zechariah 9:12 - Turn you to the strong hold, ye prisoners of hope: even to day do I declare [that] I will render double unto thee; Job 22:23-27 - If thou return to the Almighty, thou shalt be built up, thou shalt put away iniquity far from thy tabernacles.
