Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by paradisewoods: 2:06am On Nov 03, 2017
Thanks for your response sam.

I am referring to this transmission fee. Do I still need to pay that?

SamReinvented:

To the best of my knowledge, you'll have to submit through VAC. That's what I did anyway; but I signed up for courier delivery to my house, so I really didn't notice extra charges.

To get a better answer, I think you should mail/call the embassy, and ask for the options available to you for your passport submission.

Hello house,

Please I applied through paper route on Oct 9, I linked it online after, yesterday I got an update on my application and I was told "we regret to inform you that you are not eligible "

Everything other thing was fine.

Later I saw the comments /status as refused.

Have been sent a mail by vsf to come pick my processed passport 03/11/2017.

Please people how do I know the reason for refusal?

What are the eligible criteria?

I submitted documents of 1.8m SOA. leave approval from my office, 3 month pay slip of 220k, certificate of marriage, consent form my wife, affidavit of age prove, hotel bookings and flight reservation, family details and employment history, reference letter, purpose of travel, intenary and passport.

Note I got no travel history...

Please help me move to front page Admin...

Thanks.

1. pls does it matter if one present hotel booking that is not yet paid for? Not at all

2. Also, does it increases chances of visa approval if one present a paid hotel and tour booking? Its up to the VO to decide

3. is closing balance of 1m enough for a Tourist. It depend on your Economic/financial status and capacity you have presented to the VO. If you have set aside N1m for tourism, what is your financial net-worth?

please I need the responses of the gurus

Hello All et Justwise and gurus,
I only got my refusal message this week since July 12, 2017 online submission. REASON STATED- PURPOSE OF TRAVEL. I guess because in the application for me and family i stated we are going to US for child delivery and may visit Canada briefly as our custom is during our family trips to visit different countries in a vicinity to know the different cultures. Anyway, child birth at US was done and completed and we are back to see the Canada refusal message.
I am presently not in a hurry to apply again since i don't have any immediate plan for trip, but while requesting for the GCMS NOTES through ATIP i realized only citizens or residents at Canada can ask for the notes.
Please @Justwise and others, how can you help...
Thanks everyone for your efforts to make this thread a reasonable source for information.

Gud day house. Pls, I'm a Medical practitioner planning to travel to Canada on visit with my wife and my little daughter. Pls sirs, I don't have a fixed deposit account or any land document but I have about 2.5 million in my salary account, my wife also about 1.5m.
Pls, I'm a novice. Can I withdraw some amount of the money and fix it or it's not really necessary?
Moreover, my wife only has sworn affidavit and not Newspaper's change of name. Any issue with this too?
Thirdly, pls detail of how to apply for my 5month old baby.
Thanks.

Hello @Sleekier, seems your questions have been overlooked. Well, to the best of my knowledge, I don't think not having a fixed deposit is a show stopper, I didn't have any when I applied for myself and wife.

Secondly, as it the time of my application,I had a balance of approx #2Mil for a family of 3.

As for the third question, I believe applying for a minor is the same way you would apply for a dependent but all other supporting documents like employment and academic qualifications wouldn't be necessary. My opinion though.

You have to get somebody living in Canada to help you make the request.

Unfortunately some in this section claiming that they can help one apply for GCMS can not be trusted as they are likely to pay with a stolen credit card details

Not at all except you want to wash it for the people there grin

Just take your passport to vfs with the passport request letter that was sent to you.

one thing am not so sure of is how long it takes to return the passport back once cic is done with issuing the visa. maybe those with experience here can tell us. I did paper application for mine and it took about a month for me to get it
