My A.M dropped on 23.10.2017, at first i didn't indicate my travel date when i submitted my passport, i thought the start date on the health insurance should suffice. I indicated in the mail i sent that i will be travelling on the 28th(5 days later), because my enrollment deadline was on the 30th. They asked in the reply i got, if i could coome pick it up, since my departure date was close. My brother, gladly obliged.

Sorry i didn't reply your PM, i wasn't settled.

I hope this helps.

All the very best

No probz
I'm grateful for the insight!

On the Embassy's website, they wrote:

In case you present a transcript of an academic record, please make sure that every page is
stamped and signed by the university

In the transcript that I obtained from my school, only the second (last) page was stamped. The first page only has the school's letterhead. Would this be a problem?

I don't think so,the only thing my transcript had at the time I did mine was a stamp with inscription "student copy" on it, it was on every page tho.

Can one who has HND in Mechnical engineering easily switch to Information engineering Bachelors?
Can that pose a challenge with embassy people?

You have no problem at all. Be sure you are very good in Mathematics and Electrical/Electronics among others. Shalom

Nothing like PGD in Germany. You are only eligible for Bsc with your HND. But if you are very good, you can transfer your credit for some courses. Shalom

Hello armpit

Thanks for your prompt reply. I have this questions below

1) Please how do I certify my documents?

2) The English proficiency document the University gave me bears the name of the school I told them I am sending it to. They requested that it bears the name of the school I am sending to. I told them its not just one school and they said if I am sending to more schools, it means more money. Do I need to remove the school name with an image tool. The school name is just on the left corner of the letter.

3)How do I pay the uniassist fees?

1. To certify your documents take it to any court around you. But if you stay in Lagos or Abuja, you can use the German consulate/embassy. Personally I used a barrister friend who helped me do the certification through the court.

2. You don't need to do anything criminal, try talk to your school to give you a generic letter That Won't bear the name of a particular university, even if it means paying them a little more. I was lucky to get a generic English proficiency exemption letter issued by my school by default and it was free.

3. I wouldnt Know how best to answer this. But you can try find someone(friend/family) that stays in Germany or Europe that can help you foot the bill. That's exactly what I did. Although they have other direct payment options as seen on their site. I don't think it's convenient for Nigerians

Don't stress yourself. Just give them uni-assist name. That will suffice for all the schools. Shalom

Thanks for the info. Do you know if I can certify for someone else at the Embassy?
Also do you have an idea how long the certification takes, and the cost?

Send a mail to the embassy to that effect. Since they allowed the third party to help pick visa and document, I think they might also allow this too. But do yourself some favour by sending a mail to them regarding this. Shalom

well for the certification you can use german embassy if you are in lagos or abuja. You can also make use of federal high courts from any of the states or use notary public mind you state high court and monist4y of justice is allowed too. For proficiency letter same thing happened to me but my own school na free dem give so i collect like for 5 schools but now am not sure am applying to those schools but i have a plan i will certify them like that and send to any school i choose na same thing dont think that will be a problem. Payment of uniassit honourableseyi i think is the may guy for that one his on this forum i have pm him so i can warm up incase i finally use uniassit schools but for now make i finish with 3 wey no need them so na so e be all d best

yes the german people dont really care about who its addressed to except its boldly written on the transcript by your school not for official use then you have a problem. And if you can get a normal transcript why dont you apply for one use an address you can access a school or an office then go collect it from there thats what i did all the best

Thanks... Did that.
But there was an error... The school wrote that final GPA as 3.90 rather than 4.49.
3.90 is the GPA of the last semester but they also wrote it as final GPA on the transcript. I'm not suppose to have this transcript so I can't go and make a case.

The individual GPA for each semester is okay, so I don't know if that would blue problematic.

Why not rewrite the exam especially the schreiben part??
It's important to pass all parts of the exam so you can be able to do well in the entrance exam. No need to do b2, when you are not really done with b1. In german language exams, it's important to pass all parts before you can go higher with the language course

Writing a motivational letter won't do much, except you tell them that you would rewrite the exam(lesen and schreiben). Also note, that some Studienkollegs accept b1, You don't necessarily need to do b2.

Adding to this, first 3 sets of documents are free. Additional sets of documents will be charged. N3600 I think.
Tizbid:

As for price...it is free, but for each application they usually have a no of copies that is free,I think 5 or so. If u want more copies they charge,a token tho. Dont worry everything u need to know about posaible charges will be told to u in the confirmation email after u book an appointment.

my brother you are fine... I guess your 3.9 CGPA on German scale shud be 2.0 which is fine.. and I guess the school you are sending it to will check all your courses from A-Z whether u passed the needed ones depending on the course you going for.

You can not apply for Master's with your HND.

And there is nothing like PG.D as far as Germany is Concerned. So your best shot is to apply for a BSc.

Anhalt University of Applied Sciences Dessau (Bauhaus also known as DIA)
They both offer master in Architecture taught in English but a little tuition is involved (less than €1000 though) and admission is mostly during winter semester.

Check very well.

There is another one called Building Technology or Green Building or something like that. Germans usually use dynamic names so you will have

to search thoroughly. Am very sure they are available on daad.de

Yes, you can transfer some credits ONLY if you can provide all the Course Catalogue/Course Handbook which contains all the Description

of all the courses you did together with your Transcript.

So when you get to Germany you can go and see your Academic Supervisor or the Lecturer in Charge of your Course.

I hope this helps

Good morning fellow NLanders.

Quick question.

Anyone here who has done German PR from Nigeria? (Not student visa o)

Was your passport taken from you after your interview?

I want to book an interview date but I am scared I won't be able to have access to my passport cos I am travelling to another country with it just afterwards.

Bitte!

No you have not missed the deadline for winter 2018 application is not even open yet. Right now the ongoing one is the summer application. Getting an admission for an undergraduate course are mostly in winter it is very rare in summer except for Private Universities with high tutions. But for Msc there are enough achools for summer.
