its actually another issue withe nigerians. an inability to understand that you can only run a scam when it has a low threshold. rather, they will be looking how to monetize scams and take them to the next level. a few years past, some dude figured out how to hack dstv decoders. if it had been a one off, or something for a few friends, he would probably still be hacking dstv till today. instead they made it into a hustle, complete with sales of hacked decoders. of course dstv became aware of the legion of unpaid always on subscribers and shut it down.

TSTV could have a non disclosure agreement with beIN sport and the representative that answered his queries wouldn't know anything. This isn't the first time that stuffs like this happens in firms. Sometimes, it's the users that update network customer care agents about newly released products and services offered by their companies.

Secondly, Nigerians are the problem of Nigeria. I honestly don't know what the guy(Mayowa) stand to gain with this conversation. Does it make him sleep well or he is an agent of DSTV?

That is what they told us they have with bein TV...Non disclosure agreement

Nigerians like conspiracy theories. If anything is not going well, there has to be an enemy behind the scenes, instead of you to accept the truth the way it appears. TSTV is just selling us dreams. TSTV business model has all the indications of a Phoenix Scheme. You guys are saying let us patronise because na our own. That was how when Globacom first came out, una body dey hot. How many of you are using Glo data to browse here?
This same set of Nigerians wore aso ebi to go and enter aeroplane to Canada at National theatre. Same Nigerians were receiving letters from Mavrodi in Russia. They will forge letter and tell you it's from Mavrodi and una go believe. Una mumu never do?

The conversation proves absolutely nothing. He spoke with a customer care agent and we all know that the aren't always updated about the latest in their firms. If you speak to network CC agent in Nigeria, s/he might tell you a false thing.

TSTV might have reached a non disclosure agreement with beIN sports. If the Qatari based company sees this as an illegal thing, they have all the money and best lawyers to file a suit against TSTV. Why aren't they doing just that? This isn't a proper channel to follow in matters like this. Some Nigerians are just too jumpy and childish especially on things that isn't their comcern

You are right bro...
I don't think a company will just stand up and start rebroadcasting another company's service without bilateral agreement in place.

When i was in portharcourt i used to watch all epl la liga, champions league matches for just 3500 on metro digital, you need to explore places before you talk, dont just end a sentence with Think!! And feel you are right, in portharcourt only few people use dstv while quite a number use metro digital, my advise to you is step outside your street and see the world before you talk.
Oga don't mind most of these guys who don't know anywhere outside lag. Some few months back when I was in ph, d only place I saw Dstv was in the hotel where I lodged. In my colleagues home that I visited they were all watching EPL on bein sports. Full English commentary. Viewing centers were also using it. Dstv no get mouth for ph..

What are you talking about?BEIN has told you they have not agreement with TSTV africa or with any Cable network in Nigeria and you still argue.

A customer care agent did and not beIN. Its not all customer care agents that are updated with the latest about their company. Moreso, if beIN isn't cool with this "illegal" thing. They can surely file a suit, they have got all the money and best lawyers.

maybe Ctl had an agreement with Dstv to broadcast those matches there you really can tell.EVERY biz is all about agreement. Have U asked yourself why Ctl haven't been able to penetrate other states like they did in Ph and environs?
It might not be only Dstv that will be fighting Tstv. You might be suprise that Ctl, mtn, airtel and so on might be fighting them together. Biz is all about interest, as far as U don't step on the boundary, you are good to go.

I don't think they have any such agreement. I remember Dstv once Sue them to court for broadcast infringement, a case which ctl won. Not only ctl broadcast in ph, they have metro and cmtv. That means Dstv also have an agreement with these guys too?? undecided

If you are planning to buy a TSTV Decoder, you might want to put it on hold. A Nigerian contacted Bein TV, one of the networks TSTV claim to have a broadcast agreement with and the company flat out denied TSTV or any other Nigerian Organization.

Look at the chats
simple.... TSTV is not a Nigerian Organization

Nor is there any coercion to view or not view na.

If anybody is to be sued, it won't be any of you.

If they are stealing, it's not from you.

If they are not stealing, it's not your benefit.

This matter has become tiresome.

You are all right in your arguments , drink Champion Beer and rest.

Na everything dem advertise you dey buy?

Has anyone jammed your Dstv or anything else you use to view?

No one knows if there is an agreement btw TSTV and BEIN.The person this dude chatted with is a Customer service agent, even if there was such. an agreement this agent might not know as such decisions will have been struck with top management of BEIN.
TSN network in Canada broadcast NBSN in the USA for EPL matches atimes. While watching the broad cast, you will always see the warning on the screen that "The broadcast is meant to be viewed in USA only". But Canadians are watching that same broadcast and reading the message on the screen that it's meant to be viewed in USA only.
Does that mean there is no agreement btw TSN (Canada) and NBSN (USA)? I don't think so.Considering how the rule of law works in North America and the reputation of TSN, I do not think they will just broadcast NBSN without obtaining the rights to do that in Canada. I just don't think so.So the message on the screen might not mean much...we may never know. if TSTV says they have the right...then give them the benefit of doubt,If they don't they open themselves to huge law suits.

You just spoke my mind,

Most Nigeria always fall for cheap offer and they will loss their sense on thinking... Maybe due to lack of knowledge...

See the opinion I shared and was tagged an agent

The logic is simple...
Tstv has bought IPTV with full access to watch bein Sports...

When there is match they will stream the match from bein Sports using mainone Data... and transmit through any of the grand channel... They can block the bein Sports logo and cover with Grand sports

If mainone falls no matches for Una...

we Nigerians just have a herd mentality and a foolish way of thinking. No one wants to argue with facts ....the only thing you'll ear is that DST agents are doing this and that , imagine that. The comments from people is the same on Facebook and nairaland , how can people still be saying all these when the facts are staring you in the face...May God help even the educated ones in this country ...no wonder mmm was able to go away with billions .

For those that do not know TSTV was supposed to start selling their decoders and begin full transmission on Nov 1...but we're told to get strong or qsat decoder to get their channels on a certain frequency for a month "FREE TEST".... some of us did, and the result is in the picture below

In as much as I really love TSTV to succeed and also see them destroy the monopoly of DSTV...TSTV seem to be jailbreaking bein sports channel using internet protocol IPTV. What you are watching is just direct streaming of bein sports via internet.

And you believe that because of TSTV Nigeria, beIN sports will broadcast that over the whole world? They cannot influence what TSTV broadcasts because TSTV picks same thing they transmit over the world and broadcast.

Nigerians, please we are not gullible

Glo is super dependent on locations. In most areas they are super sloow, I've thrown away my glo sim. MTN does the job for me, super fast, most of the times I get 30-40mps down speed on average, but for most of my streaming I use ntel, I only use MTN when ntel messed up. And I stream 720p YouTube videos seamlessly on PS4 and my tablet without buffer. But when it comes to live match, sometimes it hangs, sometimes it doesn't . Still nothing like pay TV where u won't have to worry about internet.

By the way what single are u using with ur TV? Is that a Google Chromecast or one of those Android TV?

seems like you shot yourself in the foot with the bolded.

Connect the dots.

Fine. You have been watching Bein sports etc etc. I dont know what sort of agreement those companies like CTL, metro etc have.

What i can tell you is that, those companies compared to DSTV are kids and are not on the radar of Bein sports. Pretty sure if they knew,

They would have been shut down.

With time we shall know who is being gullible.

a big company like bein sports knows what to do when their rules are being violated. Not believing some sort of chat between one unknown person and an agent...

Plz don't tell me bein sports don't know companies like mcl, ctl etc are existing and have been airing premier league for years through them...
