Thanks. Just thinking aloud, could it be that some hosps ve been blacklisted? Then the community hosp things, more of govt hosp abi Me, i just think in our shopping and scouting for cheap deals, we shld be careful of deals too gud to be true so that these VOs dont just start turning down any quote unreasonably low. Like someone posted earlier, soem hosp may be fraudulently passing on teh bills to govt or medicaid. @Ugoguchy, if ur journey isnot that important, maybe you shld hold on and apply after a while, say like 6 months, and hopefully another VO will see things in a diff perspective. ugoguchy: |

From Fyorgyn's post, I will refer to Supernaturalone's post on applying for a new visa when one gets pregnant post obtaining visa. In my opinion, the VO already saw a pattern, maybe, Fyorgyn will go for the conference and get preggy during the course of next year, which info she didnt disclose during this interview. So the VO just put it straight on her records, no recourse to medicals, until she comes back in for another interview. In short, saying i ve used my visa for the purpose for which it was obtained and subsequently using it for birthing purpose plus sending 'change of intent' may not fly sometimes in the future, until u ve returned to the VO for another interview. My own 2 cents. 2 Likes |

Hello mamanicole - We do not have a required amount that you must spend for childbirth. You must convince us that the amount you are telling us the treatment will cost is the actual cost. Remember that we interview hundreds of applicants every week. Consular officers have ample experience looking at medical statements and receipts, and we have our own experiences with the US medical system to draw upon. So we know approximately what a range of procedures cost. Prospective applicants for medical tourism should do ample research and be suspicious of quotes that are unusually low. OnJosh1: I would advise that you buy directly from the airline. In the event of any change in the itenary you will not be shafted by the agents as they charge an arm and a leg to change dates |

Pls house, Is it possible to bring back a baby to Nigeria and then do d baby's US passport in Nigeria. (A woman did this abt 8yrs ago wen custom stamped just one month stay for her.) Dunno if it's still possible now. In my case I was stamped in for 3months. So I have jst 3/4weeks to process baby's papers. It takes abt 3wks to get BC alone in Virginia nt to talk of passport |

ogemele: It use to be very straight forward, but not anymore,it looks like they've bared naija IP addresses. If you know an it expert,he just might be able to go around it. Or better still, get someone in the Us to do it for you. |
