The History of animation is as old as art it self and with diffent types, however, the Category of animation include 2d and 3d. 2d is flat design while 3d is define with space and volume however the production process remains the same but differs slightly from production house to another.

In Nigeria, normal video is known for especially the name Nollywood becoming a household name but the industry is noted for just live action.

Does it mean that animation is dead in Nigeria? NO! But this seems so because of the requirement it takes to produce a full feature animated film budget wise and time wise even resources too hence many independent Nigerian animators opt to produce short film, comedy skirt which normally do not exceed 5minutes.

It is obvious that many even jump the foundation of animation and moves to 3d without knowing what 2d is, comparable to counting in multiples without perfecting on counting in singles, mostly this is due to lack of education as observe in outside world, animation is a 4yr course!

Fortunate enough, NaijaCartoon will be sharing skills with fellow Nairalanders on how to create 2d cartoons and make a living from it, however, to know if this venture is worthwhile, we will proceed with 50 likes, yes!
