You make me laugh, South east investment does not make up to 10% of total investment in Lagos, if Igbos leave Lagos there will be less pressure on the infrastructure and more room for better investors who will bring in good money but less liabilities after all South Africa has trillions of dollars of investment in Lagos but how many south Africans do you see here putting unnecessary pressure on our infrastructure?

Check the proportion of US debts to their GDP, the proportion of Dangote's debts to his worth. Those debts are not sustainable.

Now check the proportion of SW, NE, SS, NC and NW debts to their GDPs and compare with SE's.

Inspite of how massively Lagos had borrowed, 2/3 of their population, that is, 67% are living in slum.

https://www.theatlantic.com/international/archive/2012/07/this-is-africas-new-biggest-city-lagos-nigeria-population-21-million/259611/

Lagos according to the Fiscal Responsibility Commission over borrowed in 2015 by 300%.

Yet you people keep trooping to the same Lagos like ants on a per second basis. You should be bothered about making just one state in the east economically viable rather than talking about some phantom Lagos debt!

Your waka waka seems to be blessing now but it is a curse in the real sense.

In the future the reality would stare at you when the indigenes of the regions you are living now stop buying from you and start selling those things they are buying from you today to themselves.

Trading is the only thing giving you advantage over the indigenes of the regions you are livng today and you cannot monopolize it (trading) forever, soon others will start selling goods like electronics, tiles, clothes, drugs etc in their numbers, then you'll be stucked in different parts of Nigeria not knowing what else to do, then most of you w'ld head back home after selling most of your properties.
This is going to happen in the future whether you like/ believe it or not.

Sorry... Even with the civil war effects, you couldn't match them since sixty years ago, wake up oh ye slumber.

It is both a blessing and a curse at the same time.

Igbos born outside igbo land are heavily loosing their cultural values and traditions if you ask me and at the same time partially hindering the massive development of their own homeland.

Visit Igboland, the only region that can match it isSouth South, they have the highest number new property.

Lagos has what it takes to pay back its debts even if oil goes to zero kobo. If oil stops flowing today all south east States will go bankrupt with immediate effect low debt or not.

If you think so... Why are they seeking for an independent nation, while you aren't comfortable with there exit?

Even if they own only shops, at least they told us those investments in the North only worth about 44 trillion Naira, that is over 100 billion dollars in today's exchange rate.

We were equally told #20.8 billion USD was repatriated and that Igbos in diaspora are over 40% of all Nigerians in diaspora. That is over 8 billion USD.

Let assume this is even true.
Total investments in Lagos is worth $136 bn
If Igbos hold 10% of those investments, it means Ndi Igbos' investment in Lagos alone worth $13.6 bn. (4.9 Trillion NGN).
This leaves Non-Igbo investments in Lagos to $122.4 bn.
When this $122.4 bn is spread among the other 250 ethnic groups in Nigeria and all the countries with investments in Lagos, it'll show that Igbos has the largest investments in Lagos.

But Igbo will be leaving with at least 6 million people that is 6 million people to worry less about, Lagos infrastructure will last longer, crime rate will go down and more investors will come in to fill the gap with less baggage and liabilities.so using a simple accounting logic of assets minus liabilities presently Ndigbo's contribution to Lagos is at a net loss.

Well I am not the federal government. There are laid down rules and regulations governing a country, no government will sit and watch you subvert its authority just because you want a separate nation. You want Biafra? Simply tell all your senators and house of reps members to raise a motion for referendum and insert a clause of secession in the constitution then we will know you are serious.

They ain't leaving. They will only leave when Lagos is under a new republic. Even if they leave, their investments are still there earning massive profits.
Your concern should be what will it cost Lagos in foreign exchange to repatriate about 70% of the investments' distributed profits.

Foreign exchange position and currency of Ndi Igbo will be stronger than Lagos'. With a stronger currency, Ndi Igbo will play a dominant role in the West African market.

So as you can see, there is No Net Loss.

If not why are they falling into the same pit twice.

They should rather be prayerful there is no civil war again.

I ask, do they really desire to have biafra?

Your cherished Lagos has the biggest slum in Nigeria and one of the biggest in Africa. According to research by RICE, over 67% people in Lagos are living in slum. This means over 14 million people are living in slum in Lagos going by the National Population Commission's 21 million population of Lagos.

Don't forget Lagos didn't see any WAR!

10% of Lagosians are diabetic, this means 2.1 million out of 21 million are suffering from. Total diabetic patients in the world are 413 million. Lagos alone has claimed 2.1 million. Poor diet and low exercise are major causes of diabetics.
