Right, so you're abandoning your defence of bad practice. TTPs are there for a reason. Just because all armies sometimes flout them, doesn't excuse the flouting. Rules and procedures in the military are not arbitrary, they exist for good reasons.

Notice how there was only one vic in each accident and not a pile up? Cars have accidents it a fact, your truck going down hill with a tank could have the brakes fail and you in your inexperience due to you being new you skip a gear. Now spacing is what let's you manouver.

Going prone is laying flat down. All his gear is on his chest. So one he is higher than he should be and two while prone he can't access a lot of his gear.

What Andrew said. It seems to me better suited to snatch/raiding ops when one won't have to go prone. Also, the mag pouch is located too far to the side.
Might very well work for him and what he does. STF also has similar, though the mag pouches are located in the front and far more accessible.
