Larrey: Its OK if you decide to pay tithe. But just be assured that tithe is not a christian teaching, it was designed to service the levitical priesthood who works in a temple Christ destroyed and built up in 3days with the establishment of the new Christian congregation in Pentecost 33 CE. Tithe, Sabbath etc were all part of the law that fulfilled in Christ Gal 3: 23 & 24. Principles of Christian giving is clear @ 2Cor 9:7 ... Not under compulsion. Tithe is compulsory because it had to be 10% 1 Like |

Gotze1: Yes, their tactics is more than gun flinging.. Pastors use scare tactics n spiritual blackmail to coerce followers to pay tithe. Pastors will tell their foolish mugus to bring 10% of their earnings(Into the pastors bank account ) or else God will send the devourers to decimate their source of income, that they are stealing from God. The funny thing is that the Malachi 3 vs 8 - 10 the pastors use for their threat is actually a warning from God to the pastors about not paying upto 10% of the tithe they receive. Every thing about Tithe rules n regulations is in the books of the law and that is Deuteronomy. God said tithes is for widows, orphans, motherless, fatherless poor people, foreigners who have no land. Deuteronomy 14 vs 28 and Deuteronomy 26 be 12. (some pastors even tell students that have no source of employment to pay tithes or else.............Idiots) 2 Likes 1 Share |

Stealing, stealing, stealing, Stealing, stealing. Stealing in the name of the Lord. My father's house of worship, Has become a den of thieves; Stealing in the name of the Lord. They fed our mothers with sour grapes, And set our teeth on edge; Stealing in the name of the Lord. Strike the hammer of justice, And set my people free, Strike the hammer of justice, Or let my people be. They tell us of a heaven, Where milk and honey flow; Stealing in the name of the Lord. They said this place called heaven; The rich man cannot go. Stealing in the name of the Lord. Yet the reverend drives a fancy car, Buys everything tax-free, The people have to sacrifice; To give in charity. My father's house of worship, Has become a den of thieves; Stealing in the name of the Lord. (..) Stealing, stealing, stealing, Stealing, stealing. Stealing in the name of the Lord. Its just painful that in this part of the world, we refuse to question a lot of things and seek truth. It's easy to win an argument where facts are available all you need to do is point people to the Truth. Same reason we refuse to research and seek to develop. Everything is the devil. We refuse to even acknowledge that there are natural laws in life that irrespective of your religion race or gender will always apply. The Bible is the final authority in matters like these and much more. As much as the Berean Christians respected Apostle Paul, they still checked with the Bible to be sure that those things taughtvare true. This is what we should do as Christians. Seek the Truth for yourself. Read and check with your Bible. Ask God to reveal the truth to you and youbwont need anybody to tell you what is right or wrong. We will remain backward if we refuse to seek knowledge. God is very ready to help us the moment we begin to use our brains and help ourselves whilst asking him for His guidance. That's why the Bible says "faith without works( a corresponding action) is dead. My humble submission. 2 Likes 1 Share |

What I will never accept is a pastor reading the curses of the law to me! When reading from the torah or old testament scriptures in admonition of the brethren, pastors should only espouse on MESSIANIC VERSES to exhort the brethren. A pastor should not use 'the devourer' in Malachi to 'threathen' a recreated human spirit to give in the house of God. Pastors that do this either (1) lacks knowledge of new creation realities OR (2) deliberately wants to use fear as a tool to compel the brethren to give (which is a sign of a pastor's lack of faith in God's ability to unendingly supply the church) OR (3) both! It is abusive to uses the curses of the law to admonish the church because the members of the church of God were saved by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, not by the law!! Now to the topic, Daddy Freeze himself is biblically clever by half. Yes Deutronomy and the torah had many rules for tithing but does it mean christians should follow it to the letter? Concerning the matter of using the tithe to acquire and drink some strong drink in the house of God as outlined in one of the books of the law - Deutronomy, I want to ask, are we under the law? Is that what a right thinking christian should do? The same manner I admonished pastors not to latch unto obliterated aspects of the torah (Study Galatians 3:1-29) to put christians in bounds that they are already free from, is the same way I will say to Freeze not to make a mockery of christianity by trying to compel the clergy to follow the letter all things torah because Christ nailed the curses and brutal consequences of the law in the torah to the cross, and when He resurrected, He walked in newness of life. Let me use an analogy concerning adultery in the old and testament on one hand and the new testament on the other hand. What was the law regarding adultery in the torah? The gravity of adultery is evident by the fact that the Biblical old testament describes the offense as being punishable by the death penalty for both the man and the woman (Leviticus 20:10, Deutronomy 22:22). But, remember the encounter of the adulterous woman with Jesus? (John 8:3-11) He freed her from imminent stoning to death by the jews and told her to go and sin no more. However, Jesus also suggested that a possible consequence a spouse faces if caught in the very act of adultery may be divorce (Matthew 5:31-32). So you see, instead of the spouse of the adulterer handing the adulterer over for stoning to death for adultery, Jesus suggested divorce. But, the greater truth is, God would prefer repentance and forgiveness to be the guide for every christian (Malachi 2:16), so even when Jesus highlighted a legal basis for divorce based on a certain condition, repentance and forgiveness holds supreme for the child of God, because he said we should forgive 70×7 times a day for just one sin by a trangressor (which is an infinite rule to forgive always). So, you see the application of the law concerning the consequence of adultery received a humane transformation by Jesus Christ. The same can be said of application of tithing and giving in the church. A simple rule is the church should use the tithes and offerings to DO GOOD WORKS to the glory of God the Father in Christ Jesus... for using it to buy strong drink for drinking in church is an aberration to the faith, for the law holds no power over the christian who is not submitted to its letters. Study and meditate on GALATIANS 3 for understanding: By Faith, or by Works of the Law? 3 O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you? zIt was before your eyes that Jesus Christ was publicly aportrayed as crucified. 2 Let me ask you only this: bDid you receive the Spirit by works of the law or by chearing with faith? 3 Are you so foolish? dHaving begun by the Spirit, are you now being perfected by1 the flesh? 4 eDid you suffer2 so many things in vain—if indeed it was in vain? 5 Does he who supplies the Spirit to you and fworks miracles among you do so gby works of the law, or by hearing with faith— 6 just as hAbraham “believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness”? 7 Know then that it is ithose of faith who are jthe sons of Abraham. 8 And the Scripture, foreseeing that kGod would justify3 the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel beforehand to Abraham, saying, l“In you shall all the nations be blessed.” 9 So then, those who are of faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith. The Righteous Shall Live by Faith 10 For all who rely on works of the law are munder a curse; for it is written, n“Cursed be everyone who does not oabide by all things written in the Book of the Law, and do them.” 11 Now it is evident that pno one is justified before God by the law, for q“The righteous shall live by faith.”4 12 But the law is not of faith, rather r“The one who does them shall live by them.” 13 Christ sredeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us—for it is written, t“Cursed is everyone who is hanged uon a tree”— 14 so that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might vcome to the Gentiles, so that wwe might receive xthe promised Spirit5 through faith. The Law and the Promise 15 yTo give a human example, brothers:6zeven with a man-made covenant, no one annuls it or adds to it once it has been ratified. 16 Now athe promises were made bto Abraham and to his offspring. It does not say, “And to offsprings,” referring to many, but referring to one, c“And to your offspring,” who is Christ. 17 This is what I mean: the law, which came d430 years afterward, does not annul a covenant previously ratified by God, so as eto make the promise void. 18 For if the inheritance comes by the law, it no longer comes by promise; but fGod gave it to Abraham by a promise. 19 Why then the law? gIt was added because of transgressions, huntil the offspring should come to whom the promise had been made, and it was iput in place through angels jby an intermediary. 20 Now kan intermediary implies more than one, but lGod is one. 21 Is the law then contrary to the promises of God? Certainly not! For mif a law had been given that could give life, then righteousness would indeed be by the law. 22 But the Scripture nimprisoned everything under sin, so that othe promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given pto those who believe. 23 Now before faith came, we were held captive under the law, qimprisoned until the coming faith would be revealed. 24 So then, rthe law was our sguardian until Christ came, tin order that we might be justified by faith. 25 But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian, 26 for in Christ Jesus uyou are all sons of God, through faith. 27 For as many of you as vwere baptized winto Christ have xput on Christ. 28 yThere is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave7 nor free, zthere is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And aif you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s offspring, bheirs according to promise. 1 Like |
