You can try poweramp or black player.
If what you meant is that the music stops playing after a while in the background, then it's as a result of miui optimisation, it kills apps running in the background after sometime to save ram. You can either turn off miui optimisation for the player or lock it while in use, let's hear from your end .

I have disturbed here since yesterday but I did try something. I boot the phone into recovery mode then wipe data and reboot the phone.

Ok, do this instead. Go to settings - Battery - Manage aops's battery usage - choose apps - select the music player (or any other app you don't want to be stopped at the background) - no restriction.


Alternatively, locking the app is a faster way of doing it, just tap the multi task button, and swipe the app down to lock it.
