In other news, Portharcourt IOM session was AWESOME!!
I met gorgeous peeps frm here @ virt, @afamdi12 etc
I encourage everyone that gets even up to IP2 stage to register for a session as well as join online prearrival settlement courses....very educating...
but if u know u dont like to read and sieve through lots of info, dont even bother.

Lolz at your comment....but on a serious note, from people that I interacted with on IELTS days, most people (especially young people with growing families) earning good pay (cos you wont even be doing this PR hustle in the first place if you re not averagely okay financially- should we start naming the costs? ) are really NOT running away from their jobs but most are jumping the Nigerian ship that is obviously sinking.

Most people will miss their good jobs and the good pay (at least in the short term) but the question that will always remain to be answered is:

"If I stay back in this country compared to if I take the opportunity to leave to re-start my life and that of my kids. What will our lives look like 10 years after, in both environments?"

It's looking gloomy for most people born in the 70s and early 80s era hence the fight is for our children's future, to place their destinies in environment where their merit, creativeness and brilliance will be appreciated, polished and given the necessary rewards deserving! and most people including myself are ready to forgo the nice and good pay to give these kids that opportunity. Our careers most often are secondary, in the next 5 to 10 years in Canada, we would have caught up again with colleagues left behind in Nigeria on all fronts, pay inclusive!

Do you mean the 'verification from school' did not include your transcripts?

Nothing special. We simply faxed a copy of the certificate to WES and they used the verification from school.

Congrats to everyone that got PPR on behalf of all the good people of Canada especially Kontagious. I never doubted your speedy success for a second,you have been a true selfless personality. You will definitely do exploits in Canada.
The more PPR i see on here, the more i believe that the odds will definitely be in my favor years to come.If you know what i mean. wink

I lived in the UK for 7 years, moved back, got refused, gotten visa twice since then, and visited often. So I guess complex relationship with UK, or previous refusal, or cause I lived there, or all of the above... don't know the qualifier

Visited both places... also 10 year travel history was just long.

Hope that helps your statistics gathering

Good everyone.
I just entered the pool and after submitting my application, I saw that i have not been awarded any points for skill transferability. I withdrew my application and reapplied but still got the same thing. What could i have done please?

pls check if d no of hours worked per week was filled in correctly,I had a similar issue I observed I was awarded a lesser point der as against d crs tool so I checked n realised I had filled in hours per day instead of per week,I hope this helps

As we continue with the journey to PPR, what are things that could be done while waiting, to ease the eventual transition to Canada? How can we make the wait time counts?

Will learning French help? What of taking some Canadian diplomas via distance learning? Will this count as Canadian experience while seeking for job?

How man a mid-career person transition to Canada without having to start afresh from scratch?

Experts and experienced folks in the house, pls share your opinions. Thanks

I tell you! Something is definitely amiss. Will WES even send verification request when they are yet to receive document talk more of completing ECA without transcript.
But with Nigerian God, anything can happen grin

WES "miraculously" forgot about transcript, "olowogbogboro" aided verification request, "oluwa is involved" in the process, poster's ECA "case is different" and many more Godly way of processing things in Nigeria.
Lemme comman be going before you pipu say I donno God.

Please has anyone successfully done WES credential evaluation for ACEONDO (for PA or spouse). I believe the school has an affiliation to OAU hence their degree certificates are issued in the name of OAU.

Hi please can you expantiate on this. Someone actually told me too that he didn't apply for transcript that after sending his certificate to Wes, they only sent the verification mail to school which was replied and after that he got his report.
In any case, I sent my certificate way earlier but Wes didn't send any verification mail until they had received my transcript, which is the case with many people here.
