It’s obvious that this govt are clueless. Even if you deploy all the gun boats in the creek, these guys will still carry out their bombing of pipeline. If you been to the creek you will know what am talking. I see no reason why this govt can’t live up to their commitment. It’s been more than a year, nothing has been done.
Even the commitment they made with ASUU, has not been met and soon they will go on strike. May God help us in this country.

So where should we send people threatening to blow up pipelines?

I trust IPOB to rally behind a minority group just to spite Buhari. Nothing wrong with that. Failure is constant for some people.

The military ain't there for the people's protection
They're just there to protect an investment
That's why people get arrested, electrocuted, molested
Connected streets are infested with those tired of protestin'
Traumatized children grow to guerilla garrisons
9/11 generations pale in comparison
And you will learn a lesson repeated through history
That no matter what you think, occupation is not victory

they have started with wrong decision making again, we are yet to recover from the last wrong decision that got us into recession

dialogue is the key

with violence in the niger delta, we wouldn't be able to tap into this new increase in global oil price

so lets go and dialogue

He we go again, following the same path that has never worked. When are this clowns going to recognize that military option should always be the last resort? Let us even ask ourselves the question are the military trained to protect the citizens or to protect the interest of the elites??
Why is it that this government is ever so willing to murder its own people?
So Nigerian military is now an avenue to keep the long suffering people in check while impunity continues on a national scale?
So sad, like someone rightly said and I quote "black man with black mentality" always trying out the same thing that has yielded failure as a result but would he ever change? Naaa.
How many times do we see Western nations rolling out their war machines to kill its own people?
Dialogue with sincerity still remains the best option and will save us the doom that's about to be brought upon the nation by our clueless leaders.
But will we ever learn

Even though militancy and destruction of oil facilities is not a good way to go but who will be happy seeing the resources from his own backyard being used to develop and rehabilitate the region who chose to destroy their land out of their love for sharia. who will be happy seeing the oil from his land being shared among alhajis who dont even know where Niger delta can be found on the map of nigeria?
Who will be happy wen the people in charge of NNPC and others Oil related ministries are from a region where u cant even find 5litres of oil?
Who will be happy wen companies drill their resources, destroy their lands only to have their headquarters in a distant region where employment is scattered amongst those who dont even know what oil well looks like.

Pitiably, the cry for restructuring has died down
Pls those yoruba guys shout restructuring upandan wen ipob were still active, how far? did the python dance also dance away with ur voices? Always known for saboteuring other people's efforts

As usual, you people are more "Emotions" than logic!
There is Oil in almost all Yoruba states. Yorubas were marginalised for almost 7years that Jonathan was President but did you see Yorubas destroy any infrastructure or Oil facility? NO!!

That is how you sensible, rpogressive and hardworking People.
People who know that destroying your own environment is not a solution to marginalisation.
People who know that putting oyur own tribe at risk of confrontation with a military you cant wage-war against, is not a solution ot marginalisation!
People who dont beleive in just getting free money (65K monthly, that even a qualified teacher does not get for working hard all day of the month!), using Blackmail and threat of criminality to solve problems.

No need to compare yourselves to Yorubas, they are way above your league in terms of intelligence/sophistication (which you call cowardice, while you exibit crass, suicidal "bravery"wink.

Back to the topic:

Only the guilty are afraid!

That you see a chopper flying above you does not mean they are out to get you, except you are doing something criminal.
Just chill and go about you rnormal, legitimate duties and nothing will happen.
The military are recruited and maintained,to fight wars and put down insurrection!
They know nothing else apart from that so dont act surprised at what is happening.

But then, we all know that POLITICIANS are not good at keeping their promises!
Blowing up pipelines or issuing threats, is a CHALLENGE to the Govt and l cant find one single Govt all over the world, that rolls on the floor when challenged by any group! They usually "react and respond" to such ghallenges.

What l think we need is for the Govt to be more responsive and for the Millitants to know that they cannot continue to hold the Govt Hostage forever. Nigeria cannot afford to continue to pay some lazy, refuse-to-work criminals, salary for doing NOTHING.
To do that is to encuourage others to think that sort of criminal action is PROFITABLE.
So, Govt will do anything to show that Criminality does not pay, by putting down such actions with utmost force.

Govt should try and hasten development in all parts of the country, especially making Elelctricity available and affordable to all and sundry.
Mr. President should also ensure that the flagrant waste of resources, looting of resources and double-standard/Nepotism observed (where the "Northerners" seems to benefit more than those in whose backyard the Oil is drilled, is put to a stop.

But Hostage taking, kidnapping, blowing up oil facilities, insurgency/militancy, blackmailing the Govt, e.t.c are not the way to go.
In the long run, Govt is a continium and will outlast any insurgents.

But why should the Millitants decide that it is when the Price of Oil rises, that they have to start destroying and bombing Oil facilities?

That is the question that needs an answer.

Dialogue and Threats to Destroy facilities, are not the same.

why not do the right thing for this people to stop their agitations.
Build good roads, electricity and infrastructures for them and watch the agitations disappear. We have shed so much blood since this government came on board. Jonathan was bad but these ones are worse.
Why fight a war and dialogue later when common sense should prevail to avoid the conflict in the first place. No nation thrives in the time of conflict and we must understand that the militants have more advantages because this is their terrain they know the places where these pipelines crisscross. Surely the military cannot protect the thousands of kilometres of pipelines that are scattered everywhere that's why am calling for dialogue not war cos many innocents will die.
