Please, how long does it take Xiaomi to confirm bootloader unlock request? I've been waiting since Sunday for them to confirm my request so I can proceed to unlock this bootloader and flash the living-daylight out of this phone...

Hahahahahahahaha, no confusion, just speaking from experience, had my Redmi note 4x rooted some months back, saw different methods,bricked phone more than 5 times before trying the lazy flasher ish. What I gathered was that some persons were able to flash supersu without needing lazy flasher before a particular version of miui 8 was released.

Oga, I will jejely wait till I'm sure of what to do. Meanwhile, do you know how I can reach Xiaomi head office? They've refused to confirm my bootloader unlock request since Sunday.

I want to sue somebody for the delay. I know a good lawyer here in AbJ - Honsule

Miui has no problem with supersu, as GrandMufti said, if you just update via OTA, you become fully unrooted.
never said it had a problem with miui....why I said magisk is better is because chainfire updates has stopped.. and if boot image is patched via SuperSU root...during unroot. U'll get bricked..any doubt with what I've said..I'll drop steps to brick ur device via SuperSU ...I'm speaking from what I experience Everytime I switch between su and magisk

Naaa, never doubted you, not talking of switching between supersu and magisk either, am saying those who use a xiaomi with supersu, has no problem to obtain full unroot, just by updating, they are good.
