Hahahaha hahahaha hahahaha. So the insults just started after he granted the interview?let us just be sincere : We just like to insult people needlessly and use every opportunity as an excuse to indulge in that sorry national past time.

When I was a child, we had a girl called Iye in the neighbourhood. Ohhh Lawd. Her mouth was a flaming repository of curses and wounding words. The thing was that with Iye you just knew you'd get insulted and the best you could do was to steel yourself when her sword fell. She'd insult you even if you don't insult her. If you insult her, she'd insult you the more. Bottom line: Iye just loved cursing.
I don't think you understand that I am speaking for myself

Whatever other people want to do with their MB is their business. I have stated various times my grouse with this boy, I need not reiterate it.

Prior to this brouhaha, I couldn't have cared less about him and after it, I don't see myself caring

They re talking and I am talking. we both have our rights. I stand for what is right and I will always defend people who are abused irrationally.
Even if Tammy were poor and everyone was against him, I will stand for him. That's my person. These people you are defending, are you also their defense mantra? abi you join them?

i am not any man's defense mantra....
you guys only come here to claim defense...
it would have make more sense..if you and your clique....stay on Twitter to drag those insulting him...as some of you claimed...

I follow the lad on Twitter...I have gone to Twitter to go see for myself if those claims of you guys yesterday was true...
only to find out...that you guys made it look as if most Nigerians who commented on this matter on Twitter were all insulting him...

most Nigerians only made reference to the likes of agbonlahor and co...and how they were treated...some say he will likely get few caps like 5 or so...
that's all I could read...though there were few insults...

even the English peeps are not free from same immaturity....

everyone has a different perception on this Tammy scenario and as such are going to interprete it differently....

to some....Tammy used the super eagles to draw up Southgate attention...

to others he was grossly pressured by the English press....

on another pole...pinnick messed everything up...bla bla...

so stop trying to rubbish Nigerians...here go to Twitter and show your prowess...stall those you think are insulting Tammy and co...

It's not Tammy. That's where you get it wrong. It's you, it's everyone else. We need charity to live together. If you do not want it, good for you. I want it and huge doses of it. So that's my advocacy and I needn't go to court for that.

When they criticize Iheanacho or anyone else you call them haters. When- on the back of the insults on a human being - we say no, this ought not to be, you - as usual - come to say we are defenders, we are advocates.
does humility do that?

Aight. Let's rest it. I don't blame all of us. I blame Super Eagles for qualifying for the World Cup with one match to spare. Cheers Bro

I know you don't hate Tammy. Not at all. You joined in calling for his inclusion in our team. I am also not defending Tammy as such. Remove Tammy and put Humility017 in his place or any other person I'd intervene if need be to protect your honour. Go to Completesportsnigeria.com commentary section and see. But Let's drop the Tammy matter, it's becoming stale. Cheers

lol, the way they were saying Tammy was getting insults on Twitter, I thought he would even be trending

Imagine my disappointment when I checked for top trends and there was not even a sniff of Tammy on the top 20.

A lot of people in and outside Nigeria seem to not understand how Nigerians work.....so let me explain:

1. We only drag you if you insult us as a people or a nation.

2. Nigerians do not drag things for days. They can dedicate a maximum of fifteen hours of their day to you, but after that, you will only be mentioned IN PASSING.

3. Spending more than a day on anyone is not possible... There are lots of people to be dragged in this world, we cannot waste our time on one soul.

So, these stories of Tammy getting dragged is just that- a story. One or two people on Twitter going at the guy doesn't mean the entirety of the country is concerned about him.

Most people have moved on, Bobrisky was the top trend today, Tammy is not relevant to the Nigerian tweetosphere....Nairaland is obviously the only place he is still getting undeserved airtime and who do we blame for that? undecided

oga if I follow you go down that road we will both get dirty.
These things I said shouldn't bother you if you don't see yourself in that majority.
I'm well travelled. I know what I'm saying when I talk about us being noisy. And of course we know we are noisy. Or maybe we are so accustomed to it to the extent that we do not even know. Just as one of my friend said, that Nigerians are so corrupt and they don't even know it. so true. And that's not necessarily a generalization. You have to understand context.
I have said it here countless times that corruptions is everywhere. In fact you will find everything everywhere.
Even slums are in America.
So let "commonsense" teach you where I stand in this comparison.

Just a little hint. Some of us here have coaching certificates.

I am not bragging, I can plan and execute our tactics against Argentina if I am made to tutor the team for that game.

Those coaches are not super humans.

People should be free to discuss tactics here. It is our passion. And since it is our passion please don't hinder us.
Baba Icon4s I enjoy it when tactics is discussed. Infact prior to my time on this thread I knew nothing about football tactically speaking but because of this thread I've learnt a thing or two on tactics: I've learnt about pressing(thanks to the goodjoe) double pivot, I understand the various positions better. I appreciate the tactical insights of you and Mickael2.
However I understand what Icon79 is saying. He is saying we should not be presumptuous while discussing tactics, we should not talk like we know better than the coach regarding the players because I doubt if we do(surely we know but I don't think we know MORE than the coach).

Tammy Abraham: 'I turned down Nigeria in hope of England call'

Swansea City loanee Tammy Abraham has admitted that he turned down Nigeria in order to pursue an international career with
England .
The Chelsea striker, who is currently on loan at the Liberty Stadium, recently earned his first call-up to the England squad under
Gareth Southgate and has since admitted that he rejected overtures from his parents' country of birth in hope of representing the Three Lions at senior level.
"They [Nigeria] did try to roll out the red carpet and it was flattering but I was pretty set on England," said Abraham, according to the Express .
"I see myself as being a long-term England player. That is where my main focus is and I am 100 per cent focused on trying to get into that team."

Abraham could potentially feature for England over the next week, as Southgate's men take on both Germany and Brazil in friendly preparations for next year's World Cup in Russia.

The bolded made me chuckle. A so called giant of Africa belittled by a small boy. Yet people want us to go cap in hands to beg individuals like this to come play for us. When there's no apparent talent drain back home. Lol
leave that guy,his eyes will open sooner,i mean must he make such embarassing comments about a whole country, his fatherland for that matter just because of football that will only last for 10-15yrs.
his utterances so far is without respect, knowledge and understanding.
he is not even better than all our current strikers, just because he is performing now does not guarantee he will continue to perform

the measures adopted for his switch I doubt if it has been employed for other players.....
mind you...pinnick has been on his case right from his under 19 days in Chelsea academy...

pinnick was ready to throw him.in the ring...had it been him and his dad gave him their words...

they kept telling pinnick...that he wanna progress through the English youth system first....that's their focus for now....

same style llorfa and his son used....hoping that llorfa junior will get into the 3 lions squad...now that it is becoming impossible...he now wants his son to play for nigeria....

it really pained many Nigerians...and you don't expect them to take it lightly wit him..especially that red carpet statement....the lad messed up wit those words...

Thank you very much, my broad!

That and also know the limits of our discussions here. Sometimes some of us act like once we can win the argument here, that it would change something in the team. Frankly, I don't think that Rohr would come to NL web forum to gauge our temperature before making his team selections or before inviting people to the camp. I mean, I don't see Rohr going "hmm ... these fans think that John Ogu is better than Mikel Agu, so next time I would play Ogu instead of Agu."

I know you get the gist!

So, these stories of Tammy getting dragged is just that- a story. One or two people on Twitter going at the guy doesn't mean the entirety of the country is concerned about him.

Most people have moved on, Bobrisky was the top trend today, Tammy is not relevant to the Nigerian tweetosphere....Nairaland is obviously the only place he is still getting undeserved airtime and who do we blame for that? undecided

for somedays now...I have not been feeling too strong...I was really not happy reading this claimed insults on Tammy...
