adaxxy: Yes he can, as long as he can show substantial amount of money in his account which could imply savings from his salary. but do note that, UKVI requires atleast 6 months payslips. |

Dyindahouse: I think it is very clear, following the above refusal grounds that your COS is invalid as it has been used (either its been issued to someone else who has used it to get his visa or if you are the one trying to use same COS, it is invalid as it can only be used once) hence, you can't have maintenance. As for the minimum wage, it is £7.50 and You can't be paid anything lower than that as £10,000 annual pay is quite low and cannot amount to that. Ask the church sponsoring you, to atleast state the minimum wage in your New COS so that can be cleared. |

Please advice on the comments.

Dyindahouse: Tell your sponsor to issue you another COS and update your hourly pay to £7.50 at least. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by Dyindahouse: 5:49pm On Nov 06, 2017 |
Thanks. It is obvious they did not assess the genuineness of the application. Would this be because the CoS is already invalid? The comments on the general grounds for refusal says "not applicable." Would this mean it was assessed? |

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by ekpotek: 11:35am On Nov 07, 2017 |
preciouschiomy: If you have not yet paid. You can delete the application and start over. If you have made payment, point out the mistake with its correction in a cover note and submit along with other documents during biometric. That particular question is directed to you and not the EEA national. At the beginning of the application form there are specific questions that ask about where you will stay in the UK and contact details of your Spouse |

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by preciouschiomy: 1:38pm On Nov 07, 2017 |
ekpotek: I went back to delete it but the delete option is no longer there. Should I leave that one and create a new account to fill another application? |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by Brightingsus: 1:59pm On Nov 07, 2017 |
funmido: Nothing to do on your part as a submitted application with Biometrics can not be amended. It only implies your application has not been possible to attract a soon enough decision; so it may take a lot longer than the published timelines to make a decision. |

I also submitted for a renewal of 2,years visa on 25th of last month. How long does it take to be out? What are the possibilities of it not being denied? My six months visa expired on 4th of this month. Pls talk to me. Am a bit skiptical. The ECOs can be funny at times and visa fee i paid muchooo 200k. Hmmm |

Hi all, My husband had a missed call and a voicemail left about calling back on behalf of the entry officer today, whilst at work on his mobile. It’s regarding my brothers visit visa, he’s a student, hubby and I are both sponsoring his trip. Has anyone had an experience of them actually calling back? I’ld hate for them to deny him because they couldn’t contact hubby, surprised they didn’t call me or hubby’s work number which we provided on the application. Is there anyway we could call them if they don’t call again soon. It’s only been a week since he submitted the application, so don’t know whether it’s good or bad that they are being quick in dealing with it. Many thanks |

Good afternoon House, Its a great thing going on here and I pray I will be able to benefit from the wealth of experience that is being show cased. I hold a British Passport but I reside and work here in Naija. I have a wife and 3 kids. The kids of course are also British citizens but wifey isnt. 2 of the kids are presently schooling in the UK while living with my brother (this is known to the UK Govt). Now my question is this, whats the best way to apply for a visa for my wife so she can go visiting with our last born as often as possible. She applied for a visa some time back but was refused on the grounds of insufficient information about what she was going to do and her finances. At that time the kids were all here in naija though. I would like to avoid a situation where by the British Authorities will think she will arrive and stay put because she has kids that are citizens. That is the last thing on our mind because we intend to get wifey a resettlement visa when I relocate. I cant wait to read all the advice that will be thrown at me. Many thanks |
