Good People of NL,

My Dh second name differs on Transcript and International Passport. Eg Arinze and Arinzechukwu.

I was advised that Affidavit of one and the same can suffice.

My question is,

Please at what stage of this application process, do we need to provide the Affidavit for one and same.

Also should he upload the said Affidavit with his Degree certificate while sending his document to WES.

Please help me out.

I won't advice you ask for a remark, that can take 10weeks and you can't use the result till the remark is over. My advice to you: jump into the pool!

I am in shock at the writting as I did not finish at all. It is well.

My birthday is next month. Can I use this to enter the pool before doing the next exam or just wait till I get a better result and then enter the pool? Pls your advise guys!

You may want to calculate your CRS with this result and if it's above 400, enter the pool while preparing for another IELTS if need be, bearing in mind the implementation of candidate ranking in the pool.

My name was shortened on my degree certificate.
I always had an affidavit to address it since graduation. If you add the affidavit with the certificate and send to Wes, it will show on the evaluation as well.

Hello house, please I need your help.

I am a welder, with 3years experience
The only certificate I have is my O'level.
My Oga did not issue me a certificate after training.
Someone advised me to obtain 'Trade Test Certificate' from Ministry of Trade and Commerce, Nigeria.

Can I use that for EE, if not what should I do?

Does WES evaluate "Trade Test Certificate" ?

Does WES evaluate "Trade Test Certificate" ?
Most likely no. They evaluate educational credentials. Trade test certificates are more experience-focused. Do you wanna apply under the skilled trade class or skilled worker class?

Personally, I don't see why this should be a bother. I'm sure there are a number of people who have applied and got PPRs with such subtle difference in their name across documents. There are additional indicators (like DoB) which is often used to know that these docs refer to one and the same person.

However, if you wanna put your mind at rest and must do an affidavit, you can send it with your WES evaluation as Dammie pointed out. WES could reflect it on your ECA. Alternatively you can specify the multiple names while applying on the CIC portal and a placeholder will be automatically generated where you can upload the affidavit.

In my opinion rewriting is always better than remarking as you'll wait some significant time before the result comes out. I think you should enter the pool and then rewrite the exam, if you can. There's also the likelihood the reading may not change after remarking. It's less likely to be upgraded. So just enter the pool with this as long as it's above 410 or so

There appears to be a dearth of information surrounding PNPs and just as @codew0rks mentioned previous attempts at creating a PNP thread was shut down. Notwithstanding some members on this thread got their PPRs through provincial programs. Here's a link to some useful information about PNPs culled from Part 1 thread

https://www.nairaland.com/2624318/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled/144#47208212

I felt I should give an overview and summary application costs for PNPs that DON'T require a job offer. However most of them have target occupation lists but generally in the NOC 0, A or B categories similar to the Federal requirement

- SK $300 (Saskatchewan has an In-Demand Occupation list)
- NB $250 (New Brunswick is currently targeting occupations in IT AND applicants must show connections to NB by attending an information session or studied in NB)
- PE $300 (Prince Edward Island has no specific target occupation list)
- MB $500 (Manitoba Skilled Workers Overseas have no specific target occupation list BUT applicants must show social ties - have family, friend or studied in Manitoba or attended an information session)
- ON $1500 (Ontario EE Human Capital Priority Stream has no target occupation list but applicant must have CRS of 400 or more to be invited)
-NS No application fees (Nova Scotia Demand EE Stream- Category 2 has a target occupation list)

Also be aware that some of the various programs are selective about certain ECA assessments that they accept. In addition to sending your ECA to IRCC you will also be required to inform your assessing body to send a copy of your assessment directly to the PNP program once you receive their ITA/NOI otherwise this may delay your application for provincial nomination

- SK/PE/MB/ON/NS accept all IRCC designated ECAs (CES,ICAS,WES,IQAS,ICES,MCC,PEBC)
- NB accepts only CES, ICAS, WES, MCC and PEBC

The current processing time for PNPs on the CIC website is stated as 6 months(same as FSW). However there's no hard and fast rule for how long it takes to receive a provincial nomination once you submit your Expression of Interest - obviously this would vary from one province to another.

Note that the various programs have different PoF requirements some even lower than CIC's but applicants would ultimately be required to show funds that comply with the Federal scheme when submitting to CIC for their PPRs.

Generally, PNPs have a residency requirement that the applicant intends to live and work in that particular province. However it's still being argued that the 2 years residency is not mandatory. Take NB for example which requires applicants to sign form NBNP006 'Declaration of Commitment to New Brunswick' but doesn't clearly specify how long you are required to live in NB after showing yourself to the NBNP program officer within 30 days of your arrival in Canada.

Section 6(2) of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms states that a Canadian Permanent Resident can move anywhere within the country.

Section 6(2)
Every citizen of Canada and every person who has the status of a permanent resident of Canada has the right:
a) to move to and take up residence in any province; and
b) to pursue the gaining of a livelihood in any province.

Hopefully more information would become available in coming posts to help intending applicants successfully navigate the PNP process as in the case of FSW.

Best wishes
Thanks so much stealth02 for this detailed information. Pls, if i may ask, are you on the PNP route. Did some research yesterday and we are considering prince edward island programme. Did a mock assessment and it seems this will be an alternative for us. I will appreciate if you can give us more information anytime you have them. Attached is the PEI asssessment form for anybody that might want to give it a trial.

I am awaiting my IELTS test results so that I can start agressively pursuing this route. Hope this helps and please, grin keep me informed on any updates.

UPDATE: stealth02 just became an answer to prayers..he has summarised the whole PNP process in an easy understandable format. May GOD bless him deeply!back to the drawing board.

Thanks mamacajah. Doing the same o. researching on the PNP route too while preparing with wifey for the IELTS. We plan taking our exams by January by God's Grace.

Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 2 by Kontagious(m): 8:31am On Nov 10, 2017
Good Morning Good Fellas. As with most exams, some might be thrown off balance with result but please do not be discouraged should that happen to you. Some have it smooth by getting the desired result at 1st or 2nd trial while some might have to try a little bit harder. If you’re going solely for remark, please be aware that the wait might be grueling, during that period, you might begin to doubt your decision of not taking another test. If you’re going for reseat, try practice more on the component(s) you fell short while not forgetting to maintain your strength in the others.

For those in Lagos who are thinking of remark, 10 weeks limit from today is Jan 19. Next available date if you haven’t booked is Jan 6 which means result will be out same Jan 19. You might want to consider going for the two options. Though there are other chances of you getting the EOR before or after the 10 weeks while there’s also a chance result of new test being withheld. In all, relax a bit, breathe, get over the hurt and decide what to do.

It will surely end in praise.

Morning all, special greetings to the elders. 40manlappy i prostrate.

I have been a silent ghost reader for just over a month and the wealth of knowledge gleaned from the posts here is truly priceless.

I decided to come out of my cocoon this morning because i am super super excited, i had been in a state of restlessness for the past 13 days after writing my ielts on october 28, i felt i did not do well enough in the very vital listening task (we all know how important that is in this journey).

I got home after the test scouring the internet for discussions and possible test answers, from nairaland, quora, canadavisa, ieltsliz every single place i kept searching. I knew my performance was not up to par with my practice at home where i frequently scored 39 or 40.

The fact that i had to take a 2weeks leave from work to prepare for the exams made me more distraught. Almost everything that could go wrong went wrong, the multimedia system failed for over 15 minutes during the tests and there were a couple of questions i was not certain of the answer, to add to my woes on the day of the exam i went online to see common grammar and spelling mistakes only for me to mis-spell words that i normally use and capitalise every word after a comma. I couldn't understand myself

To cut a long story short i had booked another test this monday waiting to make payment pending when the results would be out. So with trembling fingers an hour ago i went online and behold i aced it.

I feel more than thrilled, it feels like i have received ITA and PPR altogether

Listening 8.5
Reading 9
Writing 7
Speaking 7. 5

Was a little surprised at my speaking because i am quite eloquent although i know i faltered in the first 2minutes of the interview till i gathered myself (No thanks to this darn nerves)

I pray everyone's dream comes true as i see mine crystallise before me. Canada here we come.

Blessings.

I'll advice you to wait. When filing your eAPR, you'll have to indicate the date you received the report and any discrepancy between the date written on the report and the one you indicated could have serious implications.
