For transcripts, to be on the safe side, you can go and submit at the Undergraduate Admissions Office. Also add your O'levels, and Certificate/statement of result.

Please friends, am planning to change to adult education but I will like to ask if it is possible to cross from adult education to economics after 100level with a good CGPA.
Also, I will like to ask that will admission be based on locality also since the VC has said something about admission based on locality 35%.

If ui is ur dream school,then i advice,dont do coc,cos if ui gave u another course u dont really desire,u are foreclosing ur chances of ui admission later,ui dont matriculate twice.and i still believe ui would released 2nd batch list.and pls if u have any credible info ,divulge it my siblings are having sleepness night despite all my assurances and post,maybe they will believe it coming from the bosses here,this coc of a thing seems to agitate them a lot.

Sir, about that second batch list, d possibility is getting very dim now.

This is the same way UI did last year's admission. Everything came out in one list. Just one.

And they are following the same path again this year

Thank u dr bobola07,though i pray u shoudnt be right lol,i believe ui released one list because almost all couses have 50 as cut off point,except of course the competitive ones,so passing the screening automatically qualified them for admission unlike this yr with all this cut throat cut off point.one of them is just a point from french,a course of 50 last year now 62.or what do u think,a friend i call said it is likely but he is a small fry.

bro it's for those that didn't meet their respective cut-offs

no aspirant admission status has been updated yet

I just learnt now that even adult education is 53 and it is advertized for coc,so my deduction is this,those with less than 53 in adult education must have a list before coc applicant.same thing applied to courses like russia,german,arabic language who has never had 20 applicant in jamb statistic and i know from a reliable source those dept take 30 every year.so are we to assume the less than 20 all score above those merit cutoff and even so what abt the remaining quotas since they dont advertize for coc.

let's take the department of botany as a case study
A list was Leaked before the release of merit cut off mark.
we see that only 9 candidates make it to the department of botany the ninth candidate with an aggregate score of 52.13 which happens to be the department merit cut off mark.




in this case what happened was that there's no candidates with a score lower than 52.13 and above 50. the other botany aspirants logically had an aggregate score lower than 50. only nine of them had an aggregate of 50+. because the quota is yet to be filled that's why we can find them on the COC list.
there is nothing stopping them for pegging the department cut off mark @ 50 but due to the aforementioned reasons.

same can be appllied to other departments

My Dad was joking with me Yesterday when he saw Adult Edu and special edu he said on the part of special edu that"I will be teaching children with chronic disabilities like deaf and dumb and morons" That special education is a crappy course.
Human kinetics and adult education is much more better.

university of ibadan admission process is held in high esteem, the most transparent admission process in Nigeria

so if your siblings do not get admitted it's pure their fault not UI's

we will see the number of candidates admitted into each Dept wen the list comes out then we compare to the quota. I find it hard to believe that German, yoruba, archeology, anthropology, edu management, philosophy, psychology and early childhood education department has been filled up hence there refusal to advertise for coc

Let's take note of the figures

Olayinka disclosed that only 3,538 candidates were given admission out of several thousand that applied. “This comprises 3,074 UTME selected out of 29,002 candidates who scored 200 and above in the UTME. This represents a success rate of 10.6 percent for the UTME candidates.
“In other words, only one out of every 10 admission seekers into UI during the 2016/2017 session and who scored 200 marks and above, out of 400 marks, and in addition had the requisite minimum of five credit at the Senior Secondary School Certificate (WAEC or NECO) could secure a place.
“In addition, 462 were admitted by Direct Entry out of the 2,891 applicants representing a slightly higher success rate at 16 percent or one out of every seven applicants,” said the VC.

He gave the summary of the statistics of the number of UTME candidates who applied to the university as follows: total number of first and second choice candidates with JAMB scores above 200 were 29,002, total number of candidates that had 50 percent and above after screening were 12,395, total number recommended for JAMB admission were 3, 875, total number accepted by JAMB were 3,875 and total number who showed up for clearance were 3538”.

He, however, stated that at the matriculation ceremony, the record reveals that a total of 3,502 candidates, UTME and Direct Entry inclusive, have been cleared and were expected to take matriculation oath.
“You will agree with me that this is a relatively low figure when compared to other long established universities in the country. We are not unmindful of our carrying capacity; moreover, our vision is to be a postgraduate university in which the undergraduate: Postgraduate enrolment will be 40:60 respectively,” said the VC.
