hello VO,

a friend just got her F4 visa and preparing to travel before November ending but is confused as to the rules on point/port of entry.

Is it compulsory your first POE in the US is exactly the one on the final destination address on your packet?

What if you cant get a flight that makes that your first POE?

Rgds.

Good day vo, I had an appointment with the embassy on the 2nd of November 2017, this month.. After the interview, I was given a white paper that states administrative processing ( I don't know how long this will take ) .. they needed me to provide additional document (divorce decree ).. The following day on the 3rd, I drop the divorce decree with my passport at the DHL collection center at V.I.. I want to know if my passport and document has gotten to the embassy for processing. My immigrant visa case number is (LGS2016662033).. Passport number A08656097.. CR1.. please help us.. We need each other so bad. My wife is emotionally sick as I write. Your time to time update will be of help to us.. Thank you vo.

Dear VO,
Good day to you, I just got a checklist from NVC indicating some documents to be submitted documents should be submitted. However the following was emphasized;
"Do NOT send these documents to NVC. We will schedule your visa interview without
having reviewed these documents. Instead, give all requested documents to the visa
applicant, who should give them to the consular officer during the visa interview. Failure
to submit the requested documents at the time of the visa interview can delay this case".
My question now is this, should I still expect a case completed letter before the interview is schedule? Also is it likely I get an interview this year? Thanks for your usual understanding.
Cheers!

Dear VO,
My fiance is a US citizen, I was denied a travelling visa early 2016 since we had not met in person and I was a student by then. I cleared my postgraduate in November and he immediately travelled to see me for a month. He came to see me again this year September for a month.
He made a petition for k1 visa and my interview is due in two weeks.
Does my first denial have an impact in the issuance of the k1 visa? Does one denial automatically make you prone to another denial?

Good morning,

I cannot answer questions on specific cases. If you dropped off the requested documents, the consulate will contact you when the review of your case is complete.

Good afternoon,

Questions on what will happen at the port of entry are best answered by Customs and Border Patrol. You can visit their website for more information (https://www.cbp.gov/)

Good afternoon,

Immigrant visas are adjudicated based on the relationship between the petitioner and the beneficiary, while nonimmigrant visas are adjudicated based on whether or not the applicant can overcome the presumption of intent to immigrate. As such, a nonimmigrant visa refusal would not necessarily demonstrate that the relationship between two fiances is not bona fide. I hope this is helpful.

VO

Good morning,

Immigrant visa cases are adjudicated based on the totality of the evidence presented. Tax returns may be one document considered, but are certainly not the only one. Beneficiaries for immigrant visa petitions should be prepared to answer a variety of questions about their relationship and to provide evidence as requested by the consular officer. I hope this is helpful.

Dear VO,

I really appreciate your work for us on this forum.. It's a great job you're doing here ...

Good evening,
I was told that my approved petition will be sent to my consulate by NVC ..please will I be scheduled for an interview immediately it arrives?.. I'm an I r2 (petitioned by my dad, a US citizen )
I'm asking Coz I heard ir2 cases are usually faster..
And in regards to relationship with petitioner..other than photographs, are there other simple evidences that could be provided if there's no joint photograph to show ??

Thanks, I'll be expecting your reply

Dear VO,
WE got NVC checklist asking us to submit another country's (UK) police certificate.
This we have complied with for more than two weeks ago and news from them except that they have received the police certificate.

Our questions are:
Is NVC going to send us Case Complete letter AND/OR
send us our Interview letters?

Thank you as we await your response.

Good evening VO, I've been having this issue for few days now, my employer created a profile used in scheduling my visa appointment, now I need to do another Visa interview for a personal visa not work. I created a new profile but then I saw a pop-up message after filling my details "Request an Account Change
close
Your personal details match the profile which already exists in our database. The user id of that profile is "admin@employer.com ". If you created this profile in the past, you have the option to transfer your account to this previous one in order to avoid any inconveniences that may arise from having multiple accounts.''

I would like the old profile removed, so I can use my new profile (me@personal.com) for my current and future visa applications.

Would it be a problem if I continue with my new profile as I don't even have access to my employers profile anymore

Good morning,

Please refer to the website below for a helpful flowchart on the process of petition filing and approval, as well as interview scheduling. The process can take different amounts of time depending on the documentation requested.

Good morning,

As you are talking about current and future visa applications, this sounds like an nonimmigrant visa question. Please direct it to the appropriate forum. Thank you.
