Nwakaeme impressed me with his hard work. Especially when he switched roles to play on the side. His tracking back was good and he put in work to help the defence. Onyekuru showed confidence and nice touches. Sad the pitch did not allow us see the pace our forwards could bring. Algerians looked better and I suspect it has to do with the studs. This should be a lesson for us spending long time away from the venue. 2 Likes |

soetanoreoluwa: Iwobi sha showed characteristics of a headless chicken. Two counters, two wrong passes. Atleast you agree that the game was poor, seems like saying the truth is a crime in Nigeria, once we become succesful we stop trying to improve and we end up stagnating till others catch up, poor poor stupid native African mentality 1 Like |

Mickael2: Impossible. Did you see how many times Balogun had to drift to the left side of the pitch to prevent attacks from the flanks? Some of the aerial balls he won. The work of covering the central defence and the sides repeatedly puts Balogun ahead. |

Mickael2: Pitch to blame for the faulty passes from Iwobi. On one occasion, Iwobi did not actually pass the ball but the ball hit a contour on the field. It bounce and hit his shin. By the way, he made brilliant moves on the right to describe his play as that of a headless chicken. 1 Like |

TheGoodJoe: which match was that? I have already pointed out that Balogun is the type of guy that wants to attack a winger, drifting to the leftside is his style of play and he wasn't great at it today but please, don't let me spoil your assumption that Balogun was good today, infact everybody was good even Nwakaeme and Iheanacho |

TheGoodJoe: I dont think Iwobi did well today, but he didnt do badly, i didnt forgive him when he spoilt the chance we had on score, didnt know how a caliber of player like him cldnt cross that ball with his stronger foot, even iheanacho crossed better today with his right. |

Mickael2: Ekong can not do it. Simple. Balogun put in a lot of work to keep us stable at the back. Ekong was tidy. There is no way you say the person staying at a place to do a tidy work than someone who is going the extra miles to keep the team up. Balogun won balls on the side too. His job is not to take on pacy wingers but he did it to provide balance. Which deserves a thumbs up and not thumbs down. |

Yea, the biggest discovery today is that we now have a decent LB. I will scream blue murder if Echiejile ever starts ahead of Aina again. I think the team is gradually getting set. We still need a true top striker along with another playmaker besides Mikel. O pari solonnachi: 1 Like 1 Share |

Ola Aina showed comfort going forward. Showed tactical depth in his play but his tracking back was faulty. Apart from that, I was okay with his play. The gaps were too much and it took a lot of work from Balogun to keep it unnoticeable. Like to see him play on a better pitch to judge his stamina running up and down the flanks. |

I couldn't watch the game today cus it was a night game... will check it on YouTube though.. But I'm disappointed in Rohr for not playing Ebuehi.. he could have just brought him for a fee minutes just so we can finally cap him... even if he ain't gonna displace Shehu let's see what he has to offer us... BTW, I saw some complaint here about our jersey today...can somebody send pics of the jersey pls?? |
