I want to appreciate every single member both home and abroad that has contributed to proferring solutions to the challenges of Nigerians trying to secure Australian student visa. If there is anything I have learnt from this thread, it is that, no mattter how big your problem might seem, there is someone that can suggest possible solutions to the problem more than any agent.

Based on the foregoing, I have two serious concerns, here it goes:

I have secured three Ph.D admissions (University of Wollongong, Macquarie University and Deakin University) in September. Out of the three, Macquarie offered me IMQRES-MREs as a research training pathway for the Ph.D program on 24th October 2017 for a 1st January 2018 commencement date. However, they made an error by signifying that there was no condition to be satisfied in the offer letter as against the pointer mail on candidature that I need to write IELTS. Because of my state of unrest, I contacted them after a week and apology was rendered. I quickly booked for an IELTS exam with the earliest been 25th November, 2017. Remember I would have to wait for 13days to get my result, so that means I would have to get my CoE approximately on December 8, 2017 as the earliest. Although, I contacted them and I was told I could still resume by January 15th. A sigh of relief. But.....

My Questions:
How possible is it to meet up with the January 15th start date given that I need to do medicals, apply for visa and endure the waiting game?

Is there any advice on any line of actions that I can take apart from the underlisted ones?
Based on the second question, I have already generated my HAP ID for medicals, filled my acceptance offer letter, lodged for OSHC to be provided by my university since 25th October 2017 ( though no reply from zenith bank yet), create an immiaccount and got stucked when I was asked to add CoE code. I believe I can get more suggestions on things to do before lodging my visa applications.

Does any one know how long it will take to get visa after looking at my total story? given all this waiting since July, I read (wished I did not read them though, but thats reality)?

Do I need to get Police clearance certificate at CID, ALAGBON, IKOYI.

Thanks ALL in anticipation of a response from you guys. I would not pledge allegiancem, but I really love this thread!

I would talk about the other concern in another post later. And I am ready to answer questions on how I got three Ph.D admissions within Australia if there is any.

Hello

Please i need information on the PhD programmes. Did you get a full scholarship?

Hi guys

Students are sending me their SOP to review for them and I must say most are not good enough while few are fantastic. SOPs are very important and it shouldn't be more than 2 Max In order not to bother the case officer handling 100s of applications.

You don't have to keep repeating you will come back to your country after my studies in all the paragraph. They know most students don't go back and they know the wage and salary payable in our countries and it is hard for someone to pay that amount to study abroad and return to their country and be earning 200k monthly when you can earn 10k dollars in oz.

In your interest, you SOP should be more of your experience, knowledge, motivation, achievements, future plans. Sell yourself like we do in job interviews.

It is crazy waiting for so long to know the outcome of visa applications.

Please if you truly intend to study abroad. Australia is far better in terms of quality of education, standard of living and other stuffs we look forward to go going abroad.

If you have submitted and still waiting, please be patient a little, where you are going is nearer than where you are coming from.

Australia is far better and there are lots of opportunities here. The minimum wage you get here is around $20 as casual while in Canada they pay like $12 and USA pay like $10.

If you intend to apply for visa, it is better you give at least three month before school resumes to apply for your visa to forestall delays.

Just be patient, believe me it is worth it and there are lots of Chinese, Indians and other Asians here because they enlighten themselves and encourage others to come and chop the life.

We should also research information ourselves before we starting asking questions that have been answered one too many times already.

Yes most students are working to pay tuition here, it is possible.

By God's grace, it will be joy for all of us.

hello guys, Victoria university just sent me a mail stating that they would like to hold a skype interview with me on my studies at VU. Please , has anyone done such in the time past just for admission. If yes, what does it look like and what is the underlying reason for this interview. Your prompt response will be highly appreciated.

PM me please, I am also applying to the same school. Thanks

Good day my learned colleagues in this forum. I need advice; I received admission to University of Tasmania without scholarship, but they are asking me to nominate an agent even after they issued me admission letter, and to pay deposit. So my question is:
1) Is it necessary to appoint an agent again?
2) Any advice on the best approach or way forward?

Thanks

It would be a miracle if you can get the visa on or before January 15th so I suggest you don't get your hopes up. Most of us here have been waiting for 6 months yet and we never smell visa

HAP ID and the rest don't mean anything if you don't have the CoE code. I suggest you go see the manager of the zenith bank at the branch you did the transaction and let them check the status of your transactions. Don't just sit at home thinking they will do their job. I waited for over a month because somebody at the head quarters wasn't doing her job

The way I see it, you will have to be extremely lucky to get a visa by January because you haven't even applied for the visa yet.

I don't think police clearance is necessary. Sometimes they might request for it though so keep all documents handy. Thank me later. Just my own opinion!!!!

Canada is cheaper than Australia. In Canada most schools pay like 8k-12k dollars but Australia pay like 12k-22kdollars per semester.
So depending on your school, and how many years course. You should keep @least 6million for first start.skul fees and health insurance like 3.8million,Visa like 200k,Flight like 1.2million,then accomodation and pocket money.
Though this may vary.sbdy paid 6millon for skul fees, den if u book flight on time it might be cheaper,Visa fee is increasing

What of bills.

If you are not sending the money back home your entire life in Aussie, I don't see the difference.

Housing is very expensive.

Kvickky meant australia is worth it if you are not lazy and ready to work when you arrive.

I don't even understand what you are talking about in this your statement.

Its a tough job for these guys treating 1000s of different different applications for visa and you expect everyone to be granted when most times 90% are based on lies, deceit and bogus documents.

The crazy delay is mostly for applicants from developing countries because most of us are not genuine and we just seeking greener pasture which contravenes the condition of most granting most visa classes and verifying the authenticity of our documents and evidences takes forever and most times impossible.

Their visa their business. Most students will just arrive and go claim asylum, marry oyinbo and some will just drop out and start hussling. These are applicants that claimed heaven and earth when submitting application for study visas.

Australia that I no is a develeped country as they claim, why can't dey deploy their technological advancement to know who really the genuine ones are, they claim to have the best technology and they can't handle over 1000 people's application, to me they are so lazy, technology bridges the gap of time wasting, so they should not give us the impression they have a lot of applications to treat. This is while I love working with the Indians in terms of on time task delivery, no one is doing check and balances for this CO'S, they are cabals on their own, so that excuse of lots of applications to treat is not genuine to me. Abegii jor. If there was a check and balance, there won't be all this delay of up to 6months or more. If they really know what they are doing and they develop the necessary new technology to go about it, they will be able to deliver within the stipulated time frame. I want cogent excuses and not bleep ones. I am putting myself in their shoes because I know what it takes to treat an issue within a stipulated time. Don't let this embassy people confuse you, they are simply not doing their job well enough.
