Discouraging people from applying to community colleges is very wrong. Not everyone is interested in going for their masters,people have their different reasons for going to study in the US. Someone with WAEC should be encouraged to go for an associate degree and graduate in 2 yeas, there are lots of job opportunities for associate degree holders.

This is totally inaccurate. What is your prove that "in reality Nigerians still fill up those schools"? Hardly you will see a school in U.S without Nigerians and some of them got to U.S before switching to CC. What is constantly emphasized here is the low % of applicants that get the visa with CC straight from Nigeria.

u need to be patient when dealing with people especially those you don't know. have u tried calling the admissions office. its better calling in most cases cos most times they might have a whole lot of applications to deal with. and secondly no one is stationed here for you, we are all here assisting each other. the least u can do is to be modest in the way u address peeps. call them especially if its post graduate studies

It's almost 2months since I submitted my application. They have confirmed receipt of it and that all documents are ok. According to the graduate coordinator, the review takes a couple of weeks. When a month elapsed I got no feedback I got in touch a handful of times and they promised to get back to me. But till date...

Ok. This has to do with the volume of applications received and how fast the adcom handles their review process. If [/b]your resumption is spring 2018[b], then you need to be worried but I can assure you that they will get back to you this month. When I was in your position, I got the decision 2 months to resumption, so I deferred. I hope you applied to some other schools and didn't just put your eggs in one basket?
