Hello

Please i need information on the PhD programmes. Did you get a full scholarship?

I also applied for the PhD programme.

I got a full scholarship for one full year for the Masters by research pathway. But, I would need to contend for the Ph.D scholarship on finishing my MSc.

Oh you also applied to Macquarie University too. Not totally sure I answered your question. You can send me specific questions.

Cheers

It would be a miracle if you can get the visa on or before January 15th so I suggest you don't get your hopes up. Most of us here have been waiting for 6 months yet and we never smell visa

HAP ID and the rest don't mean anything if you don't have the CoE code. I suggest you go see the manager of the zenith bank at the branch you did the transaction and let them check the status of your transactions. Don't just sit at home thinking they will do their job. I waited for over a month because somebody at the head quarters wasn't doing her job

The way I see it, you will have to be extremely lucky to get a visa by January because you haven't even applied for the visa yet.

I don't think police clearance is necessary. Sometimes they might request for it though so keep all documents handy. Thank me later. Just my own opinion!!!!

I am seriously hoping for a miracle to get my visa by 15th January, but I am putting my mind on July start already, by the way. As for the waiting game, God will give you the power to wait till your expectations are met.

I know the CoE is one of the most important document for visa. Just trying to be proactive enough to get me an inch closer to my miracle. I have withdrawn my money from Zenith Bank Account, and paid the OSHC through a friend in Sydney, they should get it by Monday afternoon. I did not want to bug my australian friends before, until this shitty bank left me with no choice.

I would just get the Police clearance since it does not cost much.

Thanks for your sincere comments and concern. Well appreciated

Hello house, after the long awaited approval on my application. It finally got refused. The visa officer didn't believe I will return upon completion of my program. I'm thinking of trying again, this time I want to apply to a school with less tuition. Has anyone applied to UNE recently. Please How long does the application take? To all those waiting.... Keep believing it shall end in praise. No one should tell me take heart lol I'm not depressed. Just help me with the information please. And if anyone know about job prospect at New England too. Thanks

My candid advice will be, if u still insist on applying to Australia, make sure you have a backup plan oo should in case those cabals refuse you again. This time around please don't put your head in just one basket, we are not getting any younger again, Time is flying like no man's business. All the best bro.

Edit your flight ticket price even Emirates is not up to 900k one way...one way from Nigeria to Australia start from 450 to 800k
I said it varies when you book on time. But if you book late it will be higher.I also doubt if there is direct flight from Nigeria to Australia.

These guys at the Pretoria Embassy are really using our heads on this country. So after investing millions in their educational system and allowing the money linger there for months, they give refusals based on intuition. Like seriously? These schools send representatives over here and they hold workshops begging us to come and study there and after spending so much money and waiting for months, Someone at the embassy that doesn't like your face simply says he thinks you wouldn't be coming back after studying so he decides to give you a refusal and spoil your passport.

I feel there would have been a better way to handle this by the embassy. Maybe if they refuse you right from the school application, it will save you all the stress and money as regards writing IELTS, paying school fees and charges, paying for medicals and ultimately paying for visa application. There's no way you can recover this monies back but the most painful part is the time wasted. If they know they wouldn't accept Nigerians anymore, I think they should state it clearly from the get-go and not allowing us waste time and money..

There's no Australian consulate in this country to start with and those in government can't even compel them to come here and open one. We spend our hard earned money and still beg for visa. I can understand that some Nigerians go there and abandon the schooling but I'm quite sure we are not the only country doing that so we that are trying to get in shouldn't be suffering for the sins of a few. I just hope someone from the embassy can read this and I wouldn't be surprised if there's a Nigerian working with them over there undermining our efforts because we Nigerians don't like each other

Hello seyo99 since you want to reapply, I suggest that you upload your refusal letter( you can obliterate your personal details) and also state the documents submitted so that the gurus in the house can analyse and proffer a solution. The VO's verdict could stem from so many reasons contained in clause 500.212 or GTE criterion, you need to address the reason/s for refusal in your next application. May God help us.

Misdirected anger bro, you should blame your government for making life so impossible hard for the common man , that they prefer to stay back or hide and do menial jobs than to come back home when chanced to leave the country, blame your government for making the economy very hostile for small and medium scale business that was once the fall back plan for recent graduates, blame your government for the nauseating nepotism experienced in federal recruitment today, blame your government for turning very talented computer gurus into fraudstars due to unemployment, my brother if things were even slightly good in this country ,nobody will ever think of travelling Australia , that's another world on its own , please let's pray for this country.

Yes its possible.your wife will work the same hour that you will work.you can also bring Ur wife but dnt go wt her immediately because u ve to show double of somethings u will provide.like the health insurance, statement of acct balance.Although is easy applying visa together but it will be ok if you have enough money. Also check the Sol list to know if Ur course is listed there for PR.except if you intend to come back after studies. Also check if your course is a two years course that will lead to PR.
