You mean a profit above 12B naira?
you must be joking.
How much profit did fidelity make? 10B.
If no decline.......see you at 2.00.

Am not saying fcmb will declare a profit of 12billion plus. what am saying is nobody knows what will happen apart from insiders. fcmb could surprise the market because anything is possible in this our unpredictable market

I have been in this market for some times now, and house, one of the lessons learnt is trying not to be in all stocks. Seriously speaking there are some stocks I will never touch with long rod. 1) stocks with poor liquidity 2) stocks being driven by some junk news and no good numbers to support.
even if these stocks are gaining 10% daily, I wont go near...pls save yourself the heartache...oando, courtville, skye bank, daar comm, neimeth, japaul should have thought us serious lessons...even if you aren't making gains, your cash is king...a word is enough for the wise.

Correct! Attack will only win you games; defense will win you championship on the long run

Some ogas here don pull trigger since morning.
Another opportunity is coming by December.

watch these stocks as they roll back and pick any of them for next year bumper harvest.
THEY HAVE NUMBERS AND SOME ARE SERIOUSLY BUILDING NUMBERS........CADBURY,CAVERTON,CCNN,CILEASING,ETERNA,FBN,NEM,OANDO,AFRIPRUD,UCAP,TRANSCORP AND FIDELITY.

@currentprice.About 24 hrs ago, cileasing was among the stocks i ticked for buy.unfortunately,i got a bias news from this Assembly concerning cileasing and i quickly rushed to call one of my brokers friend @ codros to verify only to find out the news is in circulation.I will wait till monday to see how investors react to this stock but i still have it in mind because of the NUMBERS.

...I completely support your post above, but digress a bit on the bolded. Gaining 20%, 50% or 100% is not a bad idea at all. It all depends on individual investors/traders profit targets. A thorough and detailed due-diligent should be rewarded handsomely (if market moves in your favour).

What should be encouraged in any financial market is to have profit target (if market favours) and stop loss (in case your prediction is wrong).

grin grin grin grin grin

I agree with you my good bros - take your profit out the table when it comes. Buy the dip (plunge) if you are long term on a great (value) stock.
However, they say "Don't fall in love with your investment because it won't fall in love with you" grin

emmanuelewumi needs to confirm this disturbing news.

I have sent a mail to my stockbroker to sell all my C and I at the best market price on Monday.

once the dust concerning oando settles, it will most likely enjoy a minibull ride. this is just my opinion. do your due diligence

It might take a long time for the dust to settle. I have seen stocks on very long technical suspension. I believe there'll be an initial dumping by those who have been trapped all along before the rally.

See CI LEASING share reconstruction EGM notice

Looks like the directors were given a blank cheque...if they are sincere to the shareholders, they may do a good job for the company.
Nigerian directors hmmm - they may have already done what they want and this is just a formality who knows.....
Anyways, for those in the bus, you may just wait and see or bail out - vuuuuuuum, as was mentioned earlier in this forum. cool

as contained in the notice of C &I Leasing EGM, am suspecting a foul play on the part of the management.
The company shares outstanding is moderate(not over bloated) and the company has been generating earnings that are fair enough to support the share prices.

With this move, I will sell all my holdings in C & L leasing and move to promising companies.

Don't forget this company promised interim dividend, they failed
This company debt profile is scary
The company has not declared fantastic dividend in the last 5 years
Also the share reconstruction exercise will make the company's retail investorss to be enslaved by Abraaj group.
In the history of Nigerian Capital Market share reconstruction has not favoured retail investors, all thanks to Fidelity bank that failed to bow to the pressure of share reconstruction.

At this junction, am coming down from the bus and i wish the remaining passengers safe journey to their respective destinations.

i think it time for me to go t bed, u hav make my day with this post.

i use to buy stock with plan to hold till next financial year report in respect of the time of buying i.e minimum of 12 month without even a profit target but after my analysis of what i think is the fairprice "my guide",,, if the price move in my favour i sell before fairprice reach before the 12 month period grin

What is your fair value for CI LEASING and CAVERTON.?
what is your take on this stock that is LEARNING in AFRICA to make INTENDY'S 52 week list' ?

NB: I love illusive stocks that make me real cash than SOLID STOCKS that RANGE forever... grin
Advising on a potential buy point is as equally dangerous as advising on a potential sell point. I appreciate the fact that you are not hibernating the two actions in a single cell. Actually, getting greedy people without a profit target out of a winning stock is like stopping orgasm midway... grin
You make 30% in 7 days in a stock, while other fellows have to wait 365 days and nights to average 18% - 21% in fixed assets, yet you wait to blame people after giving back 50% to the Market ( part of your original cash).
You don't start learning how to swim by jumping into the lagoon... grin

To all those that attack me because of my post on CI leasing share reconstruction you can now see that I am vindicated...

leo1234:

Just wondering why you are happy that the stock is going back to car park.

hyness:

Please Sir, do not cause unnecessary panic. Why do you even have to mention Caverton, when the poster mentioned another company (information that is yet to be verified), because if you have your money in Caverton, I do not think you would want to do what you just did.
Most times people panic and take decisions on information they hear (sometimes with no prove), and this can cause panic in the floor of the market.
On this platform many people posted informations on the Financial Standing, Operational activities, and even the Shareholding structure of Caverton Plc just to guide the informed decisions of many people benefiting from this blessed forum, and all what was posted about the Company were all positives with lots of potentials for the Company even. Why drag it down?

My brother, è ku igbadun oooooo. If one really want to enjoy a minimal peace of mind in this our market the best is to play safe with solid companies with numbers and one can enjoy the dividend(and the price will correct itself when least expect without fasting and prayer lol) if bears come visiting lol. Good to hear from you brother. Buying all these stocks without numbers is no no for me. One has to be careful in choosing all these stocks when preserving your capital. Be careful of DF...for me, I’m least expose to the stock for now. I’m buying stocks with certainty of dividends, capital gain and more cash flow at the same time...
