Tithe would av been best if it is to pay directly to the poor and not the church...the truth is most churches were even established because of the tithe payers in the 1st place , it is an avenue for the founder or the pastor to enrich themselves 2 Likes |

lonelydora: Mr Bible scholar how many times did Abraham tithe? Also since you have chosen to follow that aspect of law instead of the liberty and the grace that Jesus Christ brought? You should follow the whole law including the burning of animals to atone for your sins. You cannot selectively follow the law. |

Tithing is wrong. The law was canceled in Hebrews 7: 5-18. Christians are urged to give Just as they have resolved in their heart not grudgingly or under compulsion according to 2 Corinthians 9:7. It’s wrong for someone to come n be telling u pay tithe (10%). The Bible is the word of God n God cannot lie. 1 Like |

All the prosperity preachers will be looking for the verses of the bible to support their prosperity gospel and use those verses to back themselves ur in their false Christianity, churches and ministries, against any who may challenges their hypocrisy and also use the verses to continue to deceive their false followers and keep them in their prisons, until those false pastors: prosperity pastors, perish in everlasting destruction in the day. Similarly the false followers also will perish in everlasting destruction in the day. They are like Satan who is using all he has gotten to secure and lead all who have believed his lies into everlasting destruction. These false pastors are also twisting the word of God as Satan their father to keep deceiving all who believed their lies to everlasting destruction. Woes unto all the false pastors and beasts, they are indeed sitting on different many waters |

Mr freeze and co attacking the churches and ordinances of God through tithing has only succeded in opening our eyes to the blessings attached to tithing thereby increasing the number of tithers. But hear this "Talk no more exceeding proudly, let not arrogancy come out of your mouth for the Lord is a God of knowledge, and by him actions are weighed"1st samuel 2v3. This is the words of the Lord. |

This video is a very old video not even this year, so how is it a response to daddy freeze. Please lets stop all this blackmail. God is the only judge of every man. Oyedepo will not force any man to pay tithe. It is a choice, use ur God given choice and choose where u wish to stand. This video was not addressing tithe he only deviated into it and it was not this year, so why will someone post it as a response just to blackmail Oyedepo. Please lets be careful with our doings. God bless us all |

The issue is quite simple. There are many Jewish laws which tithing is a part of that christians are not bound by. Even apostle Paul has said this. For example circumcision was a law that Paul used as an example that the Gentiles were not bound by. The major laws that Christians are bound by are summarized in the new law "Love God with all your heart and Love your neighbor has yourself." At Judgement day this is what you will be Judged on. Loving God involves helping the poor, the needy, those who don't have hope etc. How many modern churches have charities. Even the schools they build are not for the needy. So at the end of the day on Judgement day they will all give account on how they spent the money people have given them. Paying 10% of salary is not compulsory. It is also not a crime. But many of the churches dont use the money well. And many G.Os will give account on the Judgement day. I wonder how they will justify private jets. 2 Likes 1 Share |

@Wirinet, Judaists are not christians, okay? There's a difference. Jesus Christ is the fulfilment of the Law,Romans 10:4 .What that means is simply all those ceremonies, including the Sabbath came to an end when Jesus came.Put simply, those things were shadows of things to come,Jesus is the body.Read Colossians 2:16 downwards. The day Jesus resurrected, that day became the LORD'S DAY,it supplanted the Sabbath day.Thats why I refer to Col. 2:16. You see everything,I mean everything in the Bible, revolves around Jesus. Joseph was a form of Jesus in terms of wisdom, obedience and foresight. David, which means captain typified Jesus, who is the True Captain, and incidentally, the Captain of the Host of the LORD.Please, read 1 Samuel 22:1-2. Solomon was a type of Jesus in terms of wisdom;the unblemished lamb typified the sinless life of Jesus. The fine flour baked in the oven typified His righteous life with the sufferings He would go though. etc. We have to be careful not to mislead people with heresy, like people asking people not to pay tithe. Matthew 23:23 clarifies it.In the final analysis, the wrath of God will fall on those who mislead people from the Truth of God's Word to certain untruths. |

odimbannamdi:and Jesus Christ also appreciated the existence of the Sabbath day, Luke 4:16, Jesus recognized the Sabbath day. So why are Pentecostal church not practicing the Sabbath day to keep it holy. There nothing you tithe folks want say your bishops and pastors have failed ours. |

Klimaths: Jesus also celebrated Passover in Matthew 26:17, you don't see them celebrating Passover, it is only tithe they see as law from the old testament that is yet to be fulfilled, all other old testament laws have be fulfilled by jesus Christ. 1 Like 1 Share |

The deutoronomy 14 v 22...... speaks of how tithes was observed in those days in the new testament when God was speaking to people expressly to tell them where he choose to place his name for the observances of tithes. But these days God no longer chose a place and place his name there. The levites are the pastors because they have no other work (inheritance) and the bible went further to say it is applicable to the whole world. He who readeth, let him understand.....Amen. |
