A young man suddenly reportedly fell down in front of First Bank opposite Nnamdi Azikiwe stadium, Ogui road in Enugu state. According to Chijioke Okibe, the young man fainted after vomiting for some minutes and remained there. All efforts made by passers by to make him stand on his feet failed.

Some people are saying that this might be a prank by the young man to garner attention from the public while others said that the guy may have truly collapsed due to 'hunger in the land'.

As at the time of filing this report, people had gathered in the area to help the young man.

I think its hunger or stomach upset
He isn't acting i can tell. If it was fainting alone then we might think he was acting but vomiting
May God help our youth. I pray he gets help.

It's sad how the average Nigerian knows nothing about being a first responder. Nobody to give the guy CPR... If na Yankee or outside naija now, some good citizen would have come to the rescue.

But who go give CPR to person wey just vomit finish?

But this guy needs medical attention.

Its high time we stopped thinking the way some of us do. Why not help save his life before having a negative thought on his health condition.

Hmm, twice i have seen something similar happen of recent. The people were not faking oh. The problem was hunger. They were given food complimented with cold coke. Healing occurred.

When i remember my Nysc days posted to Aba in which N 1050 Nysc allowance/N 1000 salary from the school i was posted to was not paid for almost 2 months, the hunger i felt. I did not eat for almost 3 days because i had owed all the foodstuff sellers in the area.

It was as i was thinking i remembered a police officer i had heard while in lagos, was posted to the state (Abia). That was how i traced his office. I trekked a distance of over 5-6 km to get there only to be told his was not at work. I waited for 2 hrs before he came. He now told me he was expecting money and that i should come back to see him. I could not trek back but had to wait on the street under hot sun for another 4 hours before the officer gave me 2k. For the first time in my life i ate Fufu and guess what? without meat. The remaining change i used to run back to Lagos.

Since then i have never stood by and seeing someone hungry and not made an attempt to feed the person.

On whose account? As if you were there you'll volunteer to rush him to a hospital.
